      I came up with alphabetical logic of death note and character names 😂
      · L + D + R : Light find a note book of death meets Ryuk
      · L -> K : Light after using the note book he starts seeing himself as Kira = Killer)
      · K vs L : Soon After Kira gets encountered by a rival worthy "L"(World greatest Detective)
      · K -> L : Kira/light plays a long game of chess to deceive that he is innocent and kill the Hero " L" and takes he's name as a trophy
      · L meets M + N : Kira/2nd L meets an unpredictable encounter with Near and Mellow who are driven passion to avenge their mentor Hero L's death
      So simply put The clashes are in sequence
      K-> L-> M R, Soichiro Yagami making Eye deal with Ryuk.
      L + R : Light meet Ryuk
      R -> L : Ryuk ( Spoiler Alert ), Light

    The thing I find interesting about Aizawa is that he isn't afraid to question whoever is calling the shots, be it L or Light. He strongly opposed L's methods of detaining Light and Misa even before Light's plan started to work, and now he can see that if the thirteen day rule is fake, Light just became a high-priority suspect again. Even though he doesn't want Light to be Kira, he puts his feelings aside and views the situation objectively.

      Mello was about to pull the trigger before being stopped. Mello said himself, Near uses his head and stays calm, Mello is filled with passion. He went into the belly of the underworld and kidnapped 2 people to win, traumatizing an innocent girl and her mother and killing a police detective chasing him. Mello wasn't thinking about beating Near in that moment, he wanted him dead then calmed down.

  • @iminumst7827
    @iminumst7827 Рік тому +34

    I think Light's line about the winner deciding justice is one of the most interesting lines in the show. There is some objectivity in justice in the sense that justice's purpose is to prevent behavior that is destructive towards society, but what a healthy society looks like is something mostly defined by simply what most people agree a healthy society looks like. There's lot of behavior our society sees as just, that another country may see as unjust, and vice versa. There's a cultural element to justice, and if Kira's culture becomes dominant, it becomes a legitimate philosophy of justice, and people who grow up in a Kira culture won't even see it as strange.
    The biggest flaw however in Kira's idea of justice is the concentration of power and lack of due process, it's most similar to dictator governance. A dictatorship can be appealing because it is actually really efficient if you give power to someone wise and moral, but the problem is the good leader won't live forever, eventually you will get an abusive or unintelligent leader and they will wreak havoc without a balance of powers to stop them. And without a due process , even the good dictator will make mistakes that harm innocent people accidentally more often than a fair trial. Democracy and due process aren't perfect, but they are very stable over long periods of time and much better than the alternatives.
    So Kira's justice isn't actually very strange, before the rise of democracy, dictatorship / kingdom governance was the dominant form of justice in human history. It's not surprising that people would be okay with such a system, but if they try the system for long enough the cracks will reveal.

    • @Jaguar470
      @Jaguar470 Рік тому +4

      Also the thing Light says about the winner deciding Justice, it’s the same line as the winner writing history, right? The winner skews it so that they can keep winning because the alternate choice is to be the loser and the winner KNOWS how little mercy is given to the loser and instead of aiding the loser, making the “losing” outcome less horrific, instead hurts the loser more, therefore abusing their power they have through winning AND in the process becoming the very horrifying thing the loser faces itself. The horror the loser faces that the winner is trying to desperately avoid isn’t coming from somewhere else, it is directly coming from the winner’s actions, something that a poor winner absolutely fails to see and rectify, and a good winner WILL see and give proper Justice, based in CARE, in lessening their hardship, towards the loser.

    Something I wish was explored in the show more is the fact that people have started posting names on the Internet for Kira to write. People would *absolutely* abuse that kind of power and it's possible Light might've killed a lot of innocent people that way, so it would have been incredibly interesting to explore some of it.

    • @Victor-qx3vx
      @Victor-qx3vx Рік тому +40

      Did Light actually took names posted by random people on the internet seriously?

      I don’t think he’d bother, his thing is to kill people that already committed a crime and he has access to the criminal database. I think he’s already aware that people would possibly wrongly accuse others of getting away with certain crimes on the internet to get him to kill them.

      Oh no, even worse.. If you ever used Quora, you'll know there's people posting questions that are ridiculous, but also claiming different crap.. "My kid is 13 and they did this.." then they post something like, "i'm a 15yr old girl, what if" and the next question is "i'm 42 and..." like.. if you were posting names on the internet trying to get people killed, Light would of for sure killed the person posting wanting a classmate killed.. No doubt. He goes from punishing criminals to punishing people who dont fulfill their potential.. The guy that stopped being a lawyer to persue music? Dead. The guy in his 40s working at mc donalds? dead. Homeless guys, people who took out a go fund me for a vacation, people posting tiktoks of their car collection for internet clout, dating guru's.. all of them are gone once Light and Mikami got the ball rolling

      He mention it once as it was normal, but Light has always had direct access to the police database, he never paid much attention to Internet randoms. Surely he killed a couple of those that people asked for and that gained him popularity, but surely it was not intentional.

I don't know how much the public knows about how kira kills but he (and misa) have killed a guy on TV before so they know he can do that, and I guess he might be thinking he only kills criminals but I'm pretty sure people knew about him killing the officers at the sakura TV thing, so youd think he'd be a bit more cautious about claiming to have been chosen to speak for him, even if he does support him

    Going into your discussion of justice at the beginning, it's important to mention that everyone has a different ideas as to what justice is. Like, let's look at Superman, Batman, and Rorschach from Watchmen. All three characters had vastly different ideas of Justice.
    Superman is the most good of them. The most he'll do, if needed is knock out criminals, but not do any more than that, and bring them to prison with as little damage done as possible. Long lasting damage can be permanent live changers. Batman will ruin your life, breaking legs, shattering bones, scaring criminals to the point they won't do crime ever again. Your life could basically be altered forever if Batman is looking for you. Rorschach, however, will brutally murder criminals. If they've hurt innocents, he's ending their lives, because, to him, the world is black and white. "Evil must be punished. Even in the face of Armageddon I shall not compromise."
    Because justice and corruption is the whole theme of the story of Death Note, yeah, it's a very important episode.

    I actually disagree, I don't think Near is smarter than Mellow. I think they (in this show) are literally equally intelligent, but their character is different, their motives. But they are equally intelligent. It is like Near said at the start, Mellow does things differently, but he still set up a trap with no way to stop it. He is the one who got the notebook first, after all. The interesting part is, 1 seem more "street like", meanwhile the other seem more "upper middle class", brute vs cold. Near would actually write Mellows name, Mellow would not (play the game/cold). Mellow would hold people hostages, near would not (play around the game/brute)

      Mello would write it if he thinks he got snubbed by Near. That's just how he is. Emotions get the better of him. Which, funnily enough, would rob Mello of a more satisfactory outcome, which is proving he is better than Near.

    Personally, I DO think that killing those who want to harm the innocents IS inherently good. If you don't, you are actually HELPING those people to hurt innocents and THAT is evil. Basically, refusing to kill a serial killer is just USING the serial killer as YOUR WEAPON to murder other, innocent people.
    Basically, when Aizawa says, "That's not peace. That's living in fear.", my answer is, "That's the ONLY thing that peace IS. People have proven time and again, they will be evil unless forced not to be." That's why I am authoritarian.
    I know Montana is very against the death penalty, but all arguments against it seem short sighted, illogical and inconsistent to me. Unless you have one O have never heard.

    • @paulbrown9328
      @paulbrown9328 Рік тому

      Not every criminal wants to harm others and not every criminal does. Even light first kill wasn’t someone who killed someone just taken them hostage. Their needs to be nuance because life and crime is nuance. Authoritarianism can never be true peace and neither can all other forms of peace. You just do the best you can. True peace can be achieved in afterlife where harm isn’t possible. Also peace isn’t living in fear don’t know where you got that twisted definition. If you want to decrease crime to maximum you decrease the cause for it as much as possible and authoritarianism doesn’t do that because people still do crime out of fear and will still do it if that fear isn’t worse than they have it, or can lead to overthrowing the government itself. No matter what government you have decreasing the cause of crime and building a decent stable society will always be better than fully devoting to one governments idealism.

    I have to say these terms your using ''unjustifiable,unacceptable,regardless of rates'' there only like that in a world that works by your decided morals which the real world doesn't work by anyone's except maybe the person in power at the time. I'm not saying Kira is right but what I am saying is that it's not fair to say he's wrong from the prospective of a person who's on a high horse and are saying I know what's right and wrong and that makes me a better person than you ''HAH HAH look at how great I am'' morality is obviously completely subjective and subject to change so there is no ''unjustifiable'' and nobody can judge right and wrong like an ultimate all knowing authority so the take that ''because of kira's actions the world's state is improving and despite how unfair or inaccurate his aim might be the world is still ultimately better and less unfair as a fact regardless of how hurt your morals are because of it'' that is a completely reasonable take and just as valid as yours. So don't look at people like they're dumber or lesser or wrong just because they don't share your thinking. Which you believe is objectively correct because there your being the same type of arrogant as light. Instead you should look at it as hey maybe your wrong and maybe they're right or maybe both of you are right or wrong but never look at it as an absolute. Basically the statement '' regardless of rates it's unjustifiable'' is completely incorrect unless you believe your moral judgment is definitive. which it never is because that wouldn't be subjective

    • @Firefox1726
      @Firefox1726 Рік тому +1

      You make a lot of definitive assumptions yourself and most of it came off as sophistry in which you contradict yourself multiple times. You say that morality is “obviously completely subjective” but then immediately go on to say that there is ''no unjustifiable'' which is an absolutist assertion and a complete nonsense one at that. A "subjective" stance would say that there are situations where the same actions performed but with different circumstances/motives become justifiable or not based on underlying principles, i.e. utilitarianism. It doesn’t flow logically to assert that all viewpoints are equally valid, but in the last sentence say that “regardless of rates it's unjustifiable is completely incorrect”.
      Also, having objective principles of morality does not directly infer that you believe yourself better than everyone else; I have no idea where you derived this notion from. On the contrary, it views all individuals as moral agents who can be held accountable for their decisions. There must at least be some communal foundation for a legal system, i.e. Judeo-Christian principles, otherwise you don’t have a functioning society, but one where political and social power grabs are the only legitimizing factors. The latter is how Light operates ideologically and it matches the same behavioral pattern of many dictators and tyrants in the past who I’m sure you probably condemn also.

      @@Firefox1726 @@Firefox1726 I pretty much don't disagree with anything in the first paragraph all of it aligns with what I'm trying to convey even if it's not accurate word for word. And I don't think having an objective set of morals makes you feel greater than others but it's the way you act on your moral system. Do think of it as infallible and condemn everybody that steps outside of it's lines or can it be flexible depending on the situation and are you willing to reconsider or be willing and open to the idea of conceding that your actions or thinking don't need to necessarily be right or the other person's actions and thinking aren't necessarily wrong instead of I'm right your wrong I'm smarter than you. that's what I meant if it didn't come across clearly. And the common morals system that laws are based on. first of all I would disagree there I don't think laws are based on the common moral system. And the common moral system isn't necessarily more right than any other it's just more popular. And I'm not gonna defend light slander him as much as you want I was just considering a ''what if'' where a person was using the death note for genuinely improving the world like Matsuda. Their actions wouldn't be that different from light. They'd both be killing bad people

    When someone says "innocent people who are thought to be guilty will be killed", I always think "how is that worse than the innocent people killed by those the government refused to execute?"
    Personally, I would rather be killed by the government than by a serial killer who gets off on torturing their victims as much as possible.

    • @paulbrown9328
      @paulbrown9328 Рік тому +1

      Because being killed when falsely accused can be worse. It’s all about personal preference. Would you rather be killed by someone crazy and know they are or be killed by someone who thinks it’s justified and that you are the monster. Personally I’d rather lose to a serial killer id be mad as hell my cause of death is false accusation. To me at least some justice can come from the killer eventually being caught or dying but there is no justice for false accusations because you can’t bring me back. But everyone would rather be killed by government than tortured, most killers don’t actually torture their victims.
