My Italian grandparents migrated from Calabria, Italy to New York City. Mother Cabrini built a Hospital in NYC, which was important for my family and the immigrant community and where I was born.

Calabria and Puglia are my two favorite Italian regions. Not many foreign tourists make to there but it has beautiful beaches, warm weather, amazing ruins of Ancient Greek colonies, and very friendly people. I find Italians up north with too much attitude but in the south it is the complete opposite. And it is very reasonable priced. I spent a few months there in both regions and as a non Italian I have appreciated the simplicity and being submerged in a regular Italian life.

Long, long overdue. Both of my grandfathers interacted with Mother Cabrini in business transactions in Colorado. She was a powerhouse.

Just got back from wartching it in Houston. Theater was packed!!! Such a beautifully well done movie. A work of art!! Tell everyone to go see it. I brought my 88 year old grandma who doesn't know much English. She loved it as well
As a child, our family never missed the Mother Cabrini Feast in Brentwood, NY Long Island. Longing to hear her story and very excited to see this movie and learn more about her. I'm 2nd generation Italian and my grandparents arrived "legally" and the treatment they received in NY was horrid. The classified ads of those times said NOT hiring Italians, but their hardworking ways and love of God = perseverance.
Unfortunately our country has a history of disliking whichever county immigrants were coming from in mass at the time. Italians, Irish, French and now Hispanics. But until recently most if not nearly all immigrants came LEGALLY!
And you don’t hear Italians moan today about the past they conquered became successful and prevailed the hostility they don’t carry this burden of hate like some races do … why Italians do it better

I actually just saw this movie in theaters at a private premier, and Holy Smokes. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MOVIE INCREDIBLE! The acting, the cinaametagraphy, even the soundtrack. It was finominal. I can't wait for everyone else to see it soon.

Saw this film at a private screening and was overwhelmed with emotion. It’s a beautiful, true story of a strong and determined woman who will not take no in her lifelong quest to change the world. Visually stunning, with Oscar-worthy performances, Cabrini is a reminder of the everlasting impact that great films can have on audiences. See it in the theater if you can!

Just had the privilege to see this movie, so good will want to see it again. Thoughtful, inspiring and worthy of all compliments. I recommend all see it but especially young women to see what a woman of faith can do.

They are the reason Sound of Freedom is in theaters. They need our support!
They are really knocking on the doors of mainstream cinema in just a few short years. Sound of Freedom was amazing and I get emotional when I see this trailer, even as a man.
We just saw After Death and The Shift from their Studios After seeing The Sound of Freedom this past summer. Great movies from a smaller company that doesn't have the budgets that mainstream studios have. With every movie I was expecting them to be okay with a good message but they surprised me with good quality and a good message and just good movies. Impressed!

Please find a way to see Sound of Freedom :-) If you watch Shift, I suggest you try to understand where their coming from first, it was hard to follow. Great acting and well produced, but hard to follow :-(

I remember as a child visiting the Cabrini shrine near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains (west of Denver)in Colorado. Enjoyed visiting the heart shape of rocks put there by the orphans in a hard glass protective case.

I like what Angel Studios comes out with and I've read a bit about Cabrini's life and it looks historically accurate but there are things in it that make me apprehensive and the ending just makes it bleeeeeh girl boss... so we will see

Movie looks great! I do however, sincerely hope this trend of making slow versions of songs for movies (in this case irony) ends. The trailer could've done with an original score.

I’m second generation Italian. I went to Catholic school in a predominantly Italian area. The nuns often made mention of Mother Cabrini. I am really looking forward to seeing this.
Not a fan of the Vatican but the message of a female's strength is to be understood and celebrated by all in these difficult and tumultuous times.

It is about time people knew about Mother Cabrini, and about the story of immigration at the turn of the last century. All four of my grandparents were off the boat from southern Italy, and they built so much of this country and contributed so much, from such a hard position. I'm also delighted to see an actual woman from history presented to audiences along with everything she achieved for others. Hollywood gives us plastic dolls and comic book superheros that we're supposed to celebrate as heroic women? GMAFB. This woman made a concrete positive difference in the lives of thousands. THAT'S a female role model.
Great to see Angel studios exploring exceptionaly worthy stories the half-wits in Hollywood could never fathom.
Have to say though that the trailer does suggest a disappointing tilt into a 'women-power' theme which is entirely unnecessary given the magnificience of the subject.
Hope Angel studios isnt subtly starting to toe the woke line! That would be too disappointing.
Give it a chance, make your opinion after you see it.
So glad that this movie isn't based on a theme song like the one by Shania Twain, 'Man, I feel like a woman'. Other trailers have this song to present the movie and I think it sucks. She didn't come from Italy to spread her sensuality as a woman. which is what Shania Twain's song implicates if used in this movie. She was there on a serious humanitarian mission based on her Christian faith. I hope the music or theme song they choose is sensitive to this reality.
In Zen, they say ''The ego is the enemy''. Only those with small egos can make a big difference.
We Just watched with my wife and my 15 year old , a very inspiring movie and it’s sad how come films like this are less promoted

I saw this movie this morning. Having heard many stories from both my NY maternal and paternal grandparents and parents regarding our Catholic faith, immigration and how they survived their unselfish sacrifices as depicted by the children and clergy,. I feel Cabrini is an excellent story that brings to life NYC in 1889.
Behind the Sound of Music, Cabrini now takes the top fav movie spot for me! ❤

😢 I'm an african american woman and I can relate to the work Mother Cabrini did for the Italians. Her love for Jesus and the endurance of many afflictions. I'm thankful for people like her who risk their lives for the betterment of others. That had to take a lot of courage, determination, and faith!!!

Because it is a part of her story😊, just as being an Italian woman and the challenges she faced because of that fact was a pivotal part of Cabrini’s story. Our stories are what define us as humans; sharing those stories is what connects us to one another. Doing so without judgement is what teaches us and imparts wisdom, and doing so with compassion and action is what connects us to the Divine❤

Cabrini was the epitome of humble love for our Lord and gained her strength directly from that love. She would not have separated the sexes in that judgmental way.
