Happy thanks giving! :) I'll have to look into it deeper, but I'm seeing more from 87-1998. Could be wrong, i'll have to look deeper into it. I feel like mine may be newer then 1990. Maybe it just had a newer replacement kawasaki in it though.
Happy Thanksgiving. My buddy just got his childhood 622 back. We've been ripping it up. It also has dump bed. Hope all is well. Always enjoy your videos.
Ah shit, that's awesome man. That's gotta be great ripping it up again. Does it still have the 9.2ho or whatever kawai in it? Haha, yeah if I'd had one as a kid, man it would be so destroyed. Glad I got this one when I was a little less destructive.
That AMT is tough as nails if it has managed to keep kicking after being subjected to the field. I've always thought it looked weird but it makes sense at least. Also glad to see you're still out and kickin! Happy Thanksgiving Tom!
Yeah man. That AMT had been through some stuff. The 9.2hp Kawasaki that powered it still worked, But it smoked so bad that it was basically unusable if anyone else was riding. Or if you were planning on riding back through your path. Mike clipped a tree at a decent speed with the front right rear axle and bent the axle, and the axle bracket. But, hey, all these years later, it is fixed. :) finally. Happy Thanks Giving! :)
Yes sir! :) I think it may be from a 1000, it's hard to keep track but yeah, bolens fuel tanks have temporarily powered a lot of different machines here over the years. :)
Cool rig! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Yep Ive repowered a couple things with these predators good engine, change the oil after the first couple of burn ins then change it again theyll go a long way.
Thanks for the advice man. Yeah I think I changed the oil once. But I'll definitely do it again soon now that you mentioned it. I think from what I've heard they are some of the better made Honda clones. Like the machining is more accurate and consistent compared to a lot of others.
Haha, yep. They prepared that in advance. Kinda reminds me of how now people say square body for 80s Chevy trucks, and power wagon for dodge trucks. And small block for 305/350 gm engines. Just a bunch of shitty names later applied to rear world stuff.
Thanks man, yeah, things are good. Just kinda a normal day mostly. I normally don't do holidays, but The last 2 years there was a turkey feast, but not this year. Hope you had a good turkey day! :)
haha, well, I've definitely heard a lot about how polaris's suck. :). But yeah, Not a good machine to have a fast 2 stroke engine in. even just for shifting it, the high idle of 2 strokes will cause some transmission damage trying to get in gear. Its a really useful awesome machine, and putting a big 2 stroke in it for fun is really a waste of its awesome potential. And 4 strokes are really awesome, they get more power out of their fuel. Basically they put the time and effort in to get more out of it. 2 strokes are kinda just fast wasteful screamers. Which is definitely fun and awesome the right application, not cool in the ol AMT.
Hey man happy Thanksgiving how have you been glad to see your making videos again I really miss the music an three wheel violence 😆 like I said in a comment honda atcs sabbath an the misfits an doom metal how do we not hang out anyway man take care of yourself
:) Hey. Thanks for asking, lots of ups and downs, like a lot of people i'm sure. Yeah, I need to get music back in with the vids. I should try to get some of the 60's bands in there. Like Yardbirds, and Pretty things. Take care as well. :)
Hahah, thanks man. Yeah I really do like respecting unique things as much as you can, and I hate when history gets lost to the world just because people are too lazy to say the correct thing. AMT's are really great. Haha, and they deserve to be recognized for themselves. Not called a name they never had.
Damn Tom, I watched “sad death of a Superman” which I haven’t seen in a few years and liked it so much that I sent it to my teammates, took a nap, woke up and saw this new video…needless to say I’m so happy that you’re back and in it. m.ua-cam.com/video/8-V5OeEX4mw/v-deo.html
Ha! Awesome timing. :) Yeah, I definitely had to make that bowie video. There were a lot of things I was feeling right away, and if i didn't make the video then, it wouldn't have been the same. Thanks! And happy thanks giving to you too.
Tom happy thanksgiving .Cool vehicle ,looks like you are flying in the video .
Yeah, That John Deere AMT is actually a really smooth ride. Surprisingly smooth.
Nice to see you back man ! And sweet AMT nice I’d like to have one they bring insane money used though hope all is well always enjoy the videos!
Yeah I can understand, they are super useful. Just like a really amazing golf cart with way more traction and a better bed.
great to here from ya. my ridgeline has 229.000 miles on it. great truck
Awesome man. I would imagine it's got a lot more to go. :) Good to hear from you too.
Hi Tom Happy Thanksgiving the John Deere AMT 622 was made from 1988 to 1990
Happy thanks giving! :) I'll have to look into it deeper, but I'm seeing more from 87-1998. Could be wrong, i'll have to look deeper into it. I feel like mine may be newer then 1990. Maybe it just had a newer replacement kawasaki in it though.

And yeah it's constantly funny how stupid looking the AMT is :) it truly looks ridiculous.
Hope all is well buddy as always nice to see another video!
Thanks man, things are as they are. :)
I have not seen one of those AMT's for a long time, it will be good to get it fully sorted. I think I spot a Bolens Husky fuel tank on it 🙂
Yes sir! :) I think it may be from a 1000, it's hard to keep track but yeah, bolens fuel tanks have temporarily powered a lot of different machines here over the years. :)

And happy thanks giving to you too!! :)
That was JD’s slogan back then: “John Deere AMT, it’s not a fucking gator”
Haha, yep. They prepared that in advance. Kinda reminds me of how now people say square body for 80s Chevy trucks, and power wagon for dodge trucks. And small block for 305/350 gm engines. Just a bunch of shitty names later applied to rear world stuff.
Those amt's are cool as shit have always wanted one.hope all is good happy thanksgiving🦃
Thanks man, yeah, things are good. Just kinda a normal day mostly. I normally don't do holidays, but The last 2 years there was a turkey feast, but not this year. Hope you had a good turkey day! :)
Happy Thanksgiving Tom!
You too! :)
There he is!!!
I have the same machine, just got done swapping a polaris 340 snowmobile engine into it. 4 strokes suck!
