Love your Big Boy 3wheeler!!! It gets the job done....that is all that matters!! Nice job on the wood. Nice to see the girls helping you! I love making wood...must be the farm girl in me! Keep up the great work. Loved the video!!! Greetings for Wisconsin!

Great addition but buy it from your friend before it becomes something he wants back. Give him a reasonable offer and save a friendship. Hey I think you solved your soggy maple syrup collecting whoes with this gator as well. With good balloon tires you will not need a kayak any longer!

I heard life on the farm was kind of laid-back but I don't know if I believe that anymore. LOL. I think that little John Deere is sweet it seems to have been a huge help. Till next time, God bless.

Thanks for sharing. Earlier this week I saw a lawn service company using a John Deere 5 wheel utility vehicle and being that I had never seen one before in my life I thought that it was home made using a gator bed. Now I know.

Not sure how far you are from it but a few years back when I needed parts for my gator there’s a guy in northern Illinois that has a gator graveyard with every part you could ever imagine! I can’t remember the name of it but I’m sure you could probably find him on google or Facebook. And I know for a fact he had parts for these because a friend of mine has a 5 wheeler and he picked up a few parts.

You will love it in the woods. My buddy’s has his dads still at their cabin in northern WI. They keep it because it can turn so sharp in tight spaces. It will take you places a new side by aide can’t. Awesome.

We had quite a few tri-sports growing up. Everyone was ditching them for 3 wheelers back in the 80's. We had one with a bed, and one even had a salvaged snow mobile engine on it. Great times.

I use a 2 seater gator and its awesome. Reliability isn’t great, it usually needs something fixed every couple of months it seems but its usefulness compensates that in a heartbeat.

Looks like fun! Driving the gator that is, more than splitting/stacking wood. I feel like, as an early commentor I should offer some advice that others can refute/challenge.
Here are the ones I'm considering:
-Have you thought about stacking it in circles?
-Looks like you made predator stairs right to your animals!
-Good job making lots of places for rodents to nest!
-I bet the headlight doesn't work on that either!
...I guess that's all I could think of.

Wow I love that thing. Can't go wrong with a John Deere. How many cords do you usually go through in the winter time up there? Down here it doesn't get cold I think last year we had two days that it got in the 30s. Pretty much the rest of the time it is extremely hot.
    Great video thanks for sharing,

Personally i don't think the power dump is all that necessary anyways. Not life changing. However simply having a vehicle with a utility bed that wont rut up your property........ Now that is life changing. I bet you get a ton of work out of that thing. Love it, Love the vintage look too, lol.

    • @popandbob
      @popandbob 5 років тому

Jake S. That hydraulic dump is well worth it. Makes moving compost, wood chips, gravel, and all sorts of stuff way easier.

What a cool unit ! But you haven't done a damn thing to restore it ! Fix some of that shit. I see 10 things that a teen age girl could and would take care of. You ,re just beating the hell out of it until even it's potential is dead. Man up dude. ( Title should be .... An oldy that I just keep running to death instead of fixing it )!
