This movie is a comedic masterpiece. It’s an outstanding lesson that shows how a tiny-budget film with a ton of heart and thought put into it is infinitely more exciting and refreshing than many studio films with budgets in the hundreds of millions. This kind of movie is inspiring as hell.
10/10 film with the best slapstick and comedic timing ive ever seen in my life. Plus a incredibly satisfying plot development and amazing character journey.
While this is an American film, made in the USA, it's clear that the main character, with the name "Jean Kayak" is a Quebecois come from over the border, as only a Canadian could decimate so many beavers in such a short amount of time.
@@crisismethodactor my only nitpick is that when the camera cuts to the painting it should have been more zoomed in so you only saw the house and then it’s reveled it to be a painting before he grabs it.
I put this movie on with my gf kind of as a joke because I had heard about it and figured we would get 10 min in and be like wow this is so dumb but man was I wrong. We became completely enamored by it and when it ended we were basically jumping off of the couch, we were so FUCKING HYPED. God I wish I could have seen it for the first time in a full theater
I had this experience with my parents for my first vacation viewing and it takes a lot for my parents to love movies I love. Then I showed my GF and she too was enamored. Even our dogs were excited, they were jumping up and down when the beavers were on screen. I fucking love this film! Going to spread the word as much as possible!
I love all the goofy little details they have when they produced these scenes. @1:40 you can tell that they greenscreened in the sixth beaver into the shot because it ran full speed into the middle of the set without natural shadows, implying that instead of reshooting or getting more beaver suits for a shot this crowded, they unabashedly edited it a separate shot the same way they construct most of their more abstract shots. That's hilariously charming.
This whole film is Genius level funny from beginning to end! I hope this would get a wide release in theaters, a must see!! For home release i hope we see a Criterion 4k Bluray edition of this later in the year as its worthy of the collection!
I don't think so. It has not the witty dialogues of an Airplane and it has not the fight scenes and music of a Bud Spencer/Terrence Hill movie. I really don't know what's so interesting about this movie.
@@MilesCWIt has no dialogue, that’s the point. It’s a slapstick film inspired by the 1920-30’ aesthetic of silence, yet pure sound of either it’s actors or post-production. Once you get it, you get it. If you don’t, that’s fine.
I finally watched this move recently and it was great. What is the song playing in the background of this clip. I have heard it any number of times before but I don't remember the title.
Everybody is talking about this movie, so I gave it a try, but I couldn't watch more than 15 minutes. I believe its not for me, cuz I couldn't laugh at all.

Word
This ain’t a review
to be fair though i’d say it’s more mid budget, in an interview the creator said it was around 100k
5 seconds of this clip is infinitely better than that trash Twisters film they spent 10s of millions on.
@@pe1900 100k is a very low budget man, hell even 1-5M projects are low budget.
Kicks beaver into fireplace. Beaver explodes.
Pure cinema
@@TankUni makes sense.
Just like real life
Everything in this movie explodes when it come in contact with fire. It's glorious.

Blud went from Wile Coyote to the Beaver Doomslayer

My daughter: There are so many beavers chasing him!
Me: One might even say… hundreds…
This should’ve received 30 academy awards and 40 golden globes for this cinematic masterpiece
I would honestly love if it won best visual effects over something like Dune.
Just because
The way he tomahawks that bass into that last beaver is finishing move gold.
This whole movie is a master class in setup/pay-off.

I'm like 99% sure that was an homage to the drug lab fight scene in The Raid
This better win an Oscar for best picture.

Better than John Wick.
i agree with you, and 100% definitely much Better than Jango on Tour
Much more believable fights!
Better than John Wick 2, 3 & 4 ... yes.
John Wick 1 - nahhhhh!
John Wick does not even have a single beaver.

0:47 The Scream, tho 🤣
The movie went from Looney Tunes to John Wick really fast.
Imagine what these guys would do with an Evil Dead movie.
I was laughing the hardest through this whole scene.

Just watched this movie last night. I love it.
When you have had a real bad day just watch this and you will have a real GREAT night...
the neck break is so od lmao
This must have been soo fun to film 😂
Best movie ever made
Your move, James Cameron.
Big Box Office Jim has been reeeeeal quiet since this bad boy dropped.
Something about this reminds of the Lancelot scene from Monty Python’s Holy Grail. I think it’s the noises he makes lol
“Hah-HAH!”
One of the greatest comedies in history❤
This is better than the corridor fight in Oldboy.
This scene alone has more charm to it than the entirety of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and all of it’s overbudgeted polygon spectacle.
Better than the Roadhouse remake on Amazon.
That fish throw at the end is perfection
I can't believe you left out
Spoiler for a joke

The beaver getting punched into a skeleton
This is the perfect combination of Looney Tunes, Charlie Chaplin, Monty Python and Mr Bean.
this movie fucking rules
WHY ISN'T IT RELEASED ON MY COUNTRY YET
it's nice to see slapstick make a comeback
Brilliant film - so many great scenes of which this is just one
As a Canadian this thing is hilarious 😂😂😂😂
I've seen it. It reminds me very much of the old Mack Sennett shorts-very fast paced and loaded with slapstick.

Wonder if those beaver costumes are up for sale now.

God I hope Conan O'Brien watches this movie.
Yep, it's amazin' what the boys down at the Possum Lodge can do on a budget of 75.92 Canadian and all the Labatt's they can drink.

Can I get a ticket by turning in my empties?
Amazing
Who else thought that was Jack Stauber lol
What's the matter? Didn't he use the gun? 😂
So who paid for the bots that are saying this is a kids' movies in comments across social media?
