Mufasa was the one who wanted his granddaughter to _be with_ Kovu in the FIRST PLACE. Because he saw in the Heavens that the Circle of Life was *broken* and Kiara, his granddaughter, was "the key" 🗝 to fixing it: by falling for Kovu and have both their Prides be come together as one.

I'm sorry if there are spelling mistakes, because I'm french. Kiara is a very rich character. There is a point in Lion King II which has been misunderstood. As this word indicates it, anonymous "OUTSIDERS" didn't come from Pridelands (contrary to Zira and her children, who were banned). As Scar always refused to leave Prideland, it's IMPOSSIBLE THAT THESE ANONYMOUS LIONESSES could know themselves. Simba, wanting follow Mufasa's way, repeats same mistakes than his father committed with hyenas : he inherited his father's racism, contrary to his daughter Kiara. She have many better personnality features and decisions than Simba. The most general one is that she really loves her parents (this can be seen several times), shows them respect (visible even when she confronts them). BUT showing herself to be more distant throughout the movie, she can see for herself when her father screws up, and unknowingly shows the model to Kovu, and then to her father himself. Where, in 1, her parents solved THEIR problem without seeing all the causes, Kiara sees further ahead, and understands that the problem must be tackled AT ITS SOURCE. In 1, we had a father/son relationship that touched us all BUT led Simba to become dependent on his father, whose misdeeds he also failed to see. In 2, Simba/Kiara alternate between highs and lows, but each has to learn from the other. What's better between the masterful form of the 1st and the advantage of the 2nd relationship? This father/daughter relationship is also more successful for me than in The Little Mermaid (better balance between tenderness in the first half and confrontations in the second, justified by the film's theme, and all following scenes of danger in The Lion King 2). As a teenager, Kiara combines the strong-willed side of Jasmine, the wisdom and forgiveness of Pocahontas, the committed side of Esmeralda and her ability to see the best in a person, but above all the open-mindedness of Belle, and the fact that it's the world AROUND HER that needs to evolve. What's more, in a situation that makes all these qualities less obvious (Simba is very more autoritary than Sultan, it's her father and pride that Kiara must confront, and not a city composed of backward people, both prides are in wrong, contrary to Hunchback of Notre-Dame, where it's Frollo who persecutes gypsies...) and therefore more admirable in Kiara, who also doesn't make the mistake of turning her back on Zira (in the climax, after her father understands her mistake, Kiara sees Zira coming from a distance, unlike Rapunzel facing Gothel, for example).
Message that children can turn back to bad parental model is illustrated through not only Kovu who turns his back from his revengeful and bloodthirsty mother, but also through Kiara , and finally Simba, who must learning to see Mufasa's bad side, if he wants live longer. Zira has too loved Scar, so she is blinded, is unable to see truth about Scar, and becomes as mad as him was. And Nuka, who wanted get his mother's love, followed her orders and criminal intentions... and we know how it finished for him.

Well, Kiara also made a great change in the Pridelands: she united the pridelanders & the ousiders together, making peace, stopping the war and their pride bigger, she will be a great queen in the future. I'm also glad as we saw her growth towards her role in The Lion Guard
5:49 Sometimes I think that if Makini had stayed in the Pridelands, she and Kiara would have been great friends and team when Kiara is queen

Kiara helped her father stopped being prejudice and realise the war with the outsiders was unnecessary!

    • @LisekTod
      @LisekTod 28 днів тому +2

To me, Disney introducing outsiders, the other pride of lions was unnecessary. The first movie was about war between lions and hyenas, there was nothing about any other pride of lions... and the first movie potrayed hyenas wrong. The Lion King 2 should be about lions and hyenas finally accepting each other and Simba learning that not all hyena are bad, thanks to relationship between Kiara and hyena cub Kovu. Disney had a chance to fix the hyena controvery of the first movie and make people love hyenas. Instead, they chose to forget that hyenas even existed. :(

Why zira was not there in the lion King ( 1994)
In the original 1994 version of The Lion King, Zira was not included in the main cast. The story focused on the characters of Simba, Nala, Scar, and the other Pride Lands animals. Zira was not a major character in the original film, and her presence was not necessary for the plot or the story. The 1994 version of The Lion King was a classic, and it has had a profound impact on popular culture and the entertainment industry. However, there were some aspects of the film that were not included in the final product.

In The Lion Guard, the parents of Tiifu and Zuri are never explicitly shown or mentioned, leaving their lineage open to speculation. Fans have come up with several theories to fill in the gaps:
    1. Lionesses from "The Ukumbusho Tradition": Some fans believe that Tiifu and Zuri's mothers might be among the lionesses depicted in the episode "The Ukumbusho Tradition." These lionesses are members of the pride, and their designs could align with Tiifu and Zuri's appearances.
    2. Simba and Nala's Cubs: A popular theory is that Tiifu and Zuri might be the daughters of Simba and Nala, making them siblings or half-siblings to Kiara and Kion. Fans base this idea on the similar coloring and design of the cubs to Simba and Nala, though this lacks any confirmation in the show.
    3. Adoption or Extended Family: Another possibility is that Tiifu and Zuri are adopted cubs or distant relatives of Simba and Nala. They could be cousins or members of the Pride Lands who are simply close to Kiara and Kion's family.
Ultimately, since the show doesn't clarify, these theories remain speculative, allowing fans to interpret Tiifu and Zuri's origins as they wish.

Rafiki the old wise baboon had to check if Kion and Ono were ok Kion had a scar across His eye Ono had damaged his eyes Kovu and Kiara are going to the king and Queen of the pridelands after Simba and Nala when Kion was away Vitani had made a new lion guard with 4 female lions Kion and Rani are going to be the King and Queen of the tree of life after Queen Jana's death

      Unfortunately, Kopa isn’t a legit/canon character.
He was from the spin-off book series called “Six New Adventures”, which were written by various different authors and all publish by Grolier Enterprises INC, and were published with the PERMISSION of Disney in 1994. And that word “permission” is important as it implies Disney didn’t necessarily care what was being published. The reason it has the Disney logo again, isn’t to say “we agree what’s being written” but more “we have given them permission to use our characters”.
The fact Simbas Pride was released 4 years later in 98 and they didn’t mention Kopa shows that they didn’t buy into this whole spin-off arc.
Even the upcoming “Mufasa” movie has completely changed one of the six stories (the tale of two brothers) which was about Mufasa and Taka as cubs and into adult life prior to TLK1, with the two main changes being
1 - they are not biological brothers and instead Mufasa is adopted.
2 - they came across Rafiki on their travels unlike in the stories where he was apart of the Pride as “chief advisor” before they were born.
3 - they are off to FIND a new home which would eventually be Pride Rock (which IMO is most likely going to be where Sarabi is originally from) rather than being born there like the book shows.
This movie is Rafiki telling the story of Mufasa and Taka (scar) to Kiara, Timon and Pumba but what I find interesting though (and it might just be me and the style they have gone for) Kiara does look a lot younger than what she did in the TLK2 and what Nala looked like in the 2019 re-make.
Although non of that is really that significant or even important, for me it could mean one of two things:
1 - this is Disney saying “Kion will NOT be in TLK2 re-make”. If he was, why wouldn’t they have Rafiki telling the story to an older Kiara and a young Kion?
2 - they don’t wanna reveal all their cards at once so to speak and so would rather just use Kiara for now, saving Kion for TLK2 re-make.
That leads me into Kopa potentially being introduced as a cannon character….
The best thing about this new era of TLK, is that Disney can alter/change/add in/get rid off anything they want and make it all so fresh.
This therefore means, if they really wanted too, they could easily introduce Kopa in one way or another either from birth-death/disappearance or simply have mentioned or featured in the re-make as an adult and then do a film about his origins another time.
After all, Disney have said they want to make TLK Universe like that of Star Wars with many stories (series and films) about many many different characters whether that’s the ones apart of the Pride Rock/Pride Lands royal family or lions/animals in general from HOURS away.
I personally think they should add at least Kion into the re-make especially now they have “The Lion Guard” as a physical show rather than a character from a spin-off book which is easy to dismiss.
