Holly Willoughby Quits This Morning: Ex-Host Richard Madeley Comments | Good Morning Britain

- Holly Willoughby has revealed she 'will not be returning' to This Morning, where she has been a host for 14 years. She said it was an 'honour to just be part of its story' but that she feels 'I have to make this decision for me and my family'. Ms Willoughby, acknowledging that leaving is 'such a difficult goodbye', has thanked the network for 'being supportive'. She also expressed in her Instagram post her gratitude to the 'wonderful viewers' that she says have been 'loyal, so supportive and the very best company' over the years.

If Holly is going to quit showbiz & stay out of the public eye for a quiet life to protect her & her family, I can see her point. But if she is going to surface on another program, what is the point?
Because this is bull. She’s not leaving and giving up for her family at all.
Probably because if she is concerned for her safety due to this latest incident, it's entirely understandable why she wouldn't feel comfortable or safe presenting a live show on a daily basis where it is very easy to know where she is going to be and at what time every single day. She may go on to present other shows that are not broadcast live.

Really? That's presumably why the programme won the top award for so many years...because of the unpopularity of the presenters. The only people who disliked her were the ever-present envious nobodys who resent the success and fame of others. The people who disliked Phillip (in addition to the former group) were a bunch of homophobes who are too cowardly to be open about their real reasons for the hate. 😢

I am really glad thet Holly Willoughby has stepped down from this morning as at least she is giving other female presenters a chance to present the show who will actually take the show a lot more seriously
Good news…I’m not a fan + have always intensely disliked Schofield. The show’s had its day, time to move on to a new + completely different format.
However…there is something the doesn’t quite add up in the Kidnap/Life threat. How can a man of such colossal size, tie his own shoelaces, let alone conduct a Kidnap…quite perplexing! 🤔

I agree and she as left this morning which she did for 14 years but all the other shows she as done have been axed after not very long due to low ratings which says to me that she is not as popular as people say she is, dancing on ice as only survived because of the people taking part In it pinky and perky could present it amd rating would stay same.
Personally I think Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby should start their own TV network it is obvious they are still communicating with one another . I am still non the wiser what Phillips Schofield has done you definitely can not put him in the same category as Jimmy Savile or Gary Glitter maybe someone knows a little bit more.
I think he was left in an untenable position. The media were going to hound him out whatever happened & from what many former colleagues have said, he wasn’t very popular.

I’d say that’s partially correct. Leaving the show has probably been on her mind since Philip left & as real as this kidnap threat was, it’s given her a way out.
