Another Fun Fact: Brit was an actual backup dancer for Beyonce before Glee. And Mike was a dancer in the StepUp movies. Now he is part of a few award winning shows & the Oscar winning cast of EEAAO this year.
Good for Rachel for painting over that Finn heart. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore Finn, but he was the one who set her free and he's avoiding any contact with her. She can't, and shouldn't, stop exploring her life on those premises. If it had been a mutual decision and understanding it would be different, but it wasn't. Finn made his decision, without talking to his fiance about it. She was dumped on her wedding day. He was a d-ck, whatever good intentions he had. As for the Britney/Brittany plot it was mean and insensitive. I loved the first Britney week, this one not so much, although I still love it, if that makes any sense.
I agree that Cassandra July is ruthless, but after she explained her reasoning, I kinda agree with her way of teaching and she was kind enough to explain it to Rachel after very little time attending the class. The previous episode established that while she resents not having a career, she helps her students succeed if they can handle the pressure (that scene with the guy talking about her recommendation letter landing him a role on Broadway).
Fun Fact: Rory & most of the additional characters you're gonna see came from a feeder show produced by Ryan Murphy where they put them thru sort of a reality show boot camp & the winner got a walk on Glee role. They then used the others to have a pool of talent already familiar with the routine on the show. Was pretty interesting getting to know them, before their character roles they were given.
I think both Britney episodes were good, but nothing-nothing will beat the first Britney episode. Oops I did it again, Boys/Boyfriend, Crazy/U Drive Me Crazy, they were all awesome performances. All the songs I have on my playlist.
I don't see it as them making fun of her. I see it as making fun of the discourse around her. The show is a satire. Britney signed off because she was gonna host Idol or something and was staging a comeback. That's the whole point of the episode.
It’s a fun episode but the Brittany subplot is really distasteful, especially because this episode was advertised as an homage to Britney and a celebration by the Network (Fox) for the fact that she was a judge on X-Factor on that season. Britney hosted an online watch party on Twitter and later posted how disappointed she was.
I love this new cast so much they’re my fav especially marley and unique, their friendship throughout the show 💖 and kitty make such a great villain that people hate her sm. dont get me wrong, i still miss the og glee cast 😢
i really love OOps i did it again even tho yes Rachel wasn't really dancing she was more about pose but she was sexy ( i think) i really really love You Drive Me Crazy mashup they did good their voice really work together but my favorite in this is really 3 i'm obsessed with this version.. i think the newbies are actually really good character it's a shame that people think they were plot holes specially when i enjoy their storylines more than the New York ones..
yes i do know that but go watch the comment under that song people keep talking about her not dancing and just posing her her not being sexy and stuff like that or peopple saying imagine if Santana did it and not Rachel that's why i said yes she wasn't really dancing @@GA-fn8hr
I know that Oops I did it again performance was supposed to be about Rachel but the boys dancing just made me gayer, I could feel the gay inside of me just getting stronger
Even though they made like some really bad decisions this season, having Cassandra as Rachel's teacher was a genius concept. Rachel was almost always praised by her last teacher. She was favored and pushed to the front even though most of the times she didn't deserve it. Now she doesn't have this and she's spiraling 😂
People rewrite Schue/Rachel so much. He showed several times he wouldn't cave to her. She was not favored if she was why did her punish her for Push it, butt heads with her over the song Tonight and basically push her out, make her audition for her first solo with bias judges, yelled and threw things for complaining about a song even though she was just humiliated in front of everyone as he sat back and watched. Like it or not it is canon she worked harder so was deserving and considering she saved the day a few times while others were not prepared showed that. Also, people need to stop pretending like Schue did much punishment of any of them, especially the first 2 seasons. He favored Finn and barely tolerated Rachel. Stop the rewrites.
And just like that Ryan Murphy ruined his relationship with Brtiney. He's so stupid. SHE CAME ON YOUR SHOW and that's how you repay her? Even at the time this episode was pretty hated.
Rachel can't cheat on Finn when he "set" her free and is ghosting her. Not so easy for Rachel, it is closing in on 3 months.

At least this episode gave us one iconic thing: the "f*ck glee" tweet from Britney herself lol

yaassssss THE GLEE OF IT ALL

Brit slowly became probably one of my favorite characters ❤❤
That item in the first song is an airblade, a piece of colorguard equipment. Even tho it has a similar shape to a rifle it spins way differently
Rachel in this episode 🥵🤌🏻
I agree about the making fun of Britney. After reading her book, I cringed at those scenes. I still love Glee though. Great show.

I love the Britney episodes but I do think some parts were a bit on the nose. Can’t wait for you see more of these episodes 🥰

The objective was to show she could be sexy, not her dance skills, tbh.
