- In this video number {1145} Optocoupler Current transfer ratio CTR . I explained current transfer ratio CTR in optocouplers. What is Current Transfer Ratio (CTR)? Current Transfer Ratio (CTR) is a ratio of the current to the output collector and input forward current and is represented in a percentage. CTR is mainly characterized in analog opto-emulator or optocoupler devices. if we apply input forward current to the LED and apply voltage to the collector-emitter, the output collector current can be measured. Current transfer ratio is a parameter, that is similar to the DC current amplification ratio of a transistor beta or (hFE) and is expressed as a percentage indicating the ratio of the output current (IC) to the input current (IF).
CTR(%) = (IC/IF) x 100

I think peoples are geting knowledge from your VDO and it is pleaser for both side . God bless you. Peoples addressing you as Haseeb but I think your good name is Mr Asharaf.
best regards
you are right my name is MUhammad Asharf
Muhammad Haseeb is my youngest son, he is now 18 years. so i named this channel by his name,
Thanks! Excellent info. I had now idea that there is so many variations. What we learn here is not taught anywhere else. I appreciate all of what you do!
You're very welcome!
Very very informative video and knowledgeable vedeo.. Thank you so much. All videos are detailed and conceptual. Only your videos are such type knowledgeable. Thank u so much. God bless you.
You are most welcome
and i am thankful for your valuable words
God bless you dear brother
Excellent training for hvac service tech. Thank you!
it is my pleasure
Ahh... Thank you, Haseeb! I think that I have mentioned to you that I am a self-taught EE hobbyist and, as such, I have gaps in my knowledge base. Here, you are filling in one of my gaps. Wonderful! Thank you! Since you introduced my to the 817, many videos ago, I am finding all sorts of uses for it. It is becoming one of my favorite components. Presently, I am designing and breadboarding a H-Bridge Stepper Motor Driver. It is so simple... The LED of the 817 is driven directly by the pin of a MCU, because the LED requires so little current. The transistor of the 817 drives the MOSFETs. Beautiful. And, all possible, because of your teachings! Again, thank you! Watching the video, it became clear as to why the CTR is so important... It is because both the LED and the Transistor of the 817 are current driven devices. Maybe that realization will help someone else's thinking, too. I hope so. Also, IIRC, optocouplers come in all sorts of output types, such as MOSFETs. So, check around, if a transistor output is not quite what you need. Cheers!
Salam Alaikum .I would like to have such a teacher in Poland. God has given you great knowledge.
Excellent thanks for sharing this informative video keep sharing❤❤❤
thanks a lot
stay blessed
