My grandfather left several boxes of nibs from a business that he had long long time ago. 36 years ago I got one of those boxes. Recently I purchase an oblique holder and tested a nib from that box and it worked so good!
Thank you Becca .. your always so helpful in showing & sharing .. very grateful for your video's. I ordered one the otherday. So much better easier & stylish i have found with just a 5 minute play .. love it! 🙏♥️
For me hands down , pointed pen is Paul Antonio and moderen / brush calligraphy is Becca! No offense to others out there , but I just love watching these two amazing artists! Feels so Blessed!
One of the really great things you can do with pointed pen is that you can do a style that’s very similar to brush pen, but you can also do the roundhand or Copperplate! For times when I’m on the go or don’t have time to set up, I’ll often use a fountain pen with a flex nib (similar to a G-nib) instead... it’s kinda the in-between of brush and pointed.
I found an ad for a "pointed brush pen" in a catalog (John Neal Books", but was unable to find it anywhere online. I assume that it is a brush pen with a very fine tip.
I watch lettering with pointed pen often, and thats right when you calligraphy/lettering with pointed pen more beautiful than brushpen, but i also think that its not easy as brushpen/need more practice, maybe some times i will use pointed pen to lettering, i think its interesting..

I received a pointed pen for Christmas and as a beginner, yes, I would not have known to clean the brand new nibs! So glad I found your channel!
Thank you for this!! I've been doing brush calligraphy for years but have never done pointed pen. I think I need to try now 🙌🏻🙌🏻
The drills are the best way to start... Though it's hard to resist getting all those awesome stationary items... 😂

Becca alwalys introduces us to new stuff! We love you!!!!!!
I’m so excited to watch this because I’ve got my first ever oblique pen coming in the mail and I should have it by July’s SMYD :D
I recently bought a pointed pen with different nibs and the ink wasn't sticking to them. Well, now I know why :D Thank you Becca
Thank you,
Your explanations are very good.
Ordered these. Excited for Show Me Your Drills!!
If you happen to use iron gall ink, you can dib the nib in the ink and leave it there for 16 minutes and that works well to clean it

I’m from Bangalore and I have no idea of maharastra market !
Oh sorry! I thought you were from MH. I considered that because of your name and surname.
Please make a video of writing all the uppercase letters
I've been waiting for this from you

Actually for me pointed pen is better. Takes much less practice to have satisfactory lettering.

Your calligraphy is beautiful 😍
The BEST Channel! 👍😘🌷
If G nibs are elusive, how does Speedball 512 nib compare?
Pointed pen is all I use. Never could get the hang of brush.
Do the pointed pens that come with ink cartridges still produce as elegant calligraphy as using an inkwell?
❤❤
DIASO JAPAN has sumi ink $1.50
Touching the cleaned nib with fingers? Plastic nib holder that doesn't allow for proper nib alignment?
Is this something a lefty can do? Would i need different holders?
Hi! If u are a lefty then u should use a straight holder instead of oblique holder.
Hope that helps!😊
Pointed pens remind me of the fountain pens I used as a young girl.
Hii

DONT USE TOMOE RIVER AS A BEGINNER it is way too flimsay and you will be upset cause youll keep stabbing the paper and ripping it .
