I say hands down your video was great. We have just returned from our 3rd YC cruise. You actually have said in this video many of the things people think and might not say. We too were in our Topsail lounge in just about 25 minutes after arrival. When you make your observations from your perspective remember there are many other Americans who say the things you said in your analysis of MSC YC. How can we Americans know all those food names from another language. This brings me to say I love the YC and MSC is not really comparable to other USA cruise lines because their goals and practices and clientele are so much different. I would like to give credit where credit is due. During this trip when we didn’t know the name of a dish or we got a cheese plate, we would look at each other and say, “if you know what this is just leave it in the comments below!” So, watching your video before we went really made our cruise so much fun. You are fun to watch and I say thanks for your review and keep doing what you’re doing!
I was loving the small portions. The prime rib scares me! I could never finish it. I love cheese plates also. Usually take it back to my room for a late night snack.
Our first time last year we got a deluxe cabin on MSC YC and this horse we got an interior room because honestly, we don’t spend much time in our room nor did we really use the balcony last time. Plus, an interior saved us about $1200 with all the same benefits.
We tried MSC for the first time in 2018 on the Yacht Club and it definately spoiled us. We felt rich the whole week. you need to try the Yacht Club on the Seashore and the Meriviglia. Both great ships and the Yacht clubs have differnt looks. Great video. 😁👍
I totally get this! If I didn’t need to see more ships, I think I’d stick with the Yacht Club! We are actually doing Yacht club on Meriviglia next month! Cannot wait!
I’m apparently a Fan of “cheesy cheeses”… 😂😂😂 but what I meant to say was strong cheeses. I love goat cheese, feta, fresh blue cheese. Things like that. It’s an experience.
They should encourage YC passengers to arrive 15-30 min before general boarding opens up and get them on first. I think if people know this, many would get there earlier and the priority boarding would be much easier and acceptable.
They should! I agree. We actually showed up much earlier than our “scheduled” time. That’s one thing I don’t like about MSC, if you’re not on the yacht club, you don’t get to pick your arrival time. It is just assigned to you.
Although there will be an embarkation time on your cruise documents, Yacht Club passengers can embark aboard the ship whenever they like - as long as the ship is cleared for boarding. Pro tip: You can grab lunch on the Yacht Club pool deck on Embarkation Day. Best burgers on the ship!
Pool deck lunch was good, but I really enjoyed the yacht club dining room lunch on embarkation day! Especially since it was my first time experiencing it. I’ll have to try the burger next time!
You do not get special perks just because you have on a YC band. Special perks comes with voyager club different levels. We have sailed MSC and only book YC. We are also diamond members. In my opinion the lunch at poolside is the best. You are like me I don’t know how to pronounce that but it was good😂……great video really enjoyed watching it.
I believe there are different types of special perks you may be referring to. You DO get a lot of EXTRAS with the YC that you don’t get without it. A special perk refers to a special advantage or benefit you are given. Ask anyone standing in the line waiting to board that we passed up because of our YC benefit and see if they felt like it was a special perk we were given. Congrats on being diamond members. That is EXTRA SPECIAL! Hope to join you some day!
@@SWAdventures01 you are correct. YC comes with many perks, some are those are open to Diamond Voyager Club not sailing in YC. But Diamond Vovagers not sailing in YC are not entitled to enter the YC areas.
Nice camera work. When handed a drink, if I need to get rid of chewing gum, I ask the server or bartender for a paper cocktail napkin and then do it discreetly.
She is so sweet and is doing a great job at the video. Maybe there is a functional reason for the fork use that way? But, yes, I wish someone would help show her a better technique.
I was having breakfast in the MDR on the (Cunard) Queen Victoria at a multi-national table. A German fellow noted that he could tell which country an individual was from by the way he used a knife and fork. Quite true. I was raised British and at one time could have eaten with the Queen. But thirty years ago I came the the US and have I appear to have adopted their more laissez-faire usage of cutlery. Americans, now including me, seem more focused on results than method. While Miss Sheelah does indeed have a unique skill set with a knife and fork, I thought this video was exceptionally well done and was the best that I have seen at portraying the Yacht Club Experience. Both she and her hint-of-Southern-drawl are as cute and unpretentious as can be.
Great video. Believe me, once you experience Yacht Club, you will never go back to "regular" sailing, trust me.
Well… I do go back to regular, depending on the cruise, but I definitely would prefer yacht club on all of them!

Awe! Thank you!!! I look forward to posting our full 7 day YC experience in the two story loft suite! It was UNBELIEVABLE!
I love the part where the butler said "step aside please" as you walked past the normies in line.
My anxiety level was high right then!!! That’s probably why they serve so much Champaign before you walk thru! If looks could kill…
MSC know how to make you feel special!
Absolutely the best experience I have had.
I was loving the small portions. The prime rib scares me! I could never finish it. I love cheese plates also. Usually take it back to my room for a late night snack.
Omg! We do the same thing with the cheese plate! Such a great late night snack!

I would 100% recommend this!!! The only downfall… you will get addicted!
@@SWAdventures01 it’s too late. We have another YC booked for 2025

My favorite cheeses is Brie. That was one of them on your plate. Love a brie cheese bite on my cruises

Uncomfortable? That’s the best part of YC 😂embarkation day 😂

You can also ask the chef a day before to prepare a certain dish or dinner the following evening. They dont mind requests if theyre able to supply 🎉❤
This is great info! I’m going again in June and might have to try this!

An adult person doesn’t know how to use a fork and knife? Only in America…
She is so sweet and is doing a great job at the video. Maybe there is a functional reason for the fork use that way? But, yes, I wish someone would help show her a better technique.
I was thinking exactly the same thing. My 3 year old uses a fork better. I dont get it.
