@@TWDExplainedIts not confirmed and to be fair it isn't necessary, not to mention AMC and Gimple still have plans for spinoffs in regards to there Walking Dead Franchise
It would be cool if they brought back the voice actors that voiced Jesus and Hershel just so that the video games can feel even more connected to the comics continuity wise.
This would be cool. Ever since I played Telltales the walking dead which is a game series set in the TWD comic universe I always thought it would be a cool idea to have a animated comic show and have the style similar to the games maybe
AMC HAS TWD. That is why he quit writing. They didnt appropriately compensate him through two lawsuites AMC also caused a lot of the story changes like Carl .
Hey James , long time follower first time responding. I have to agree with you in the idea of having a new story following a new character from the beginning of the infection. With a whole new cast and storyline!
Agreed. People always said HBO was gonna make a TWD animated series, which I'm not against, but it just doesn't any sense because of AMC controlling the tv rights. If anyone was going to make an animated show it'd have to be AMC but the issue is the comic is far too graphic to show on television, it would have to be on streaming. I would love to see a faithful adaptation of the comics though, even with different voice actors.
Ya know I always assumed Kirkman had licensed tv rights to amc, meaning the relationship could end per terms of the license agreement. But if he sold them the rights, that almost makes me sadder knowing whatever twd content for TV would have to come from amc basically forever. As much as I'd love to see this, I doubt we'll get anything adapting or rebooting the main story until current generation is done and long dusted. Maybe amc will eventually sell the rights or license them out?
I’d like for amc to continue the motion comic. That’d be a way to stay true to the comics, literally panel for panel. We could still have the show universe (my preferred TWD) and one more accurate to the comics running alongside it.
If AMC can't even make one good walking dead game then they definitely can't make a good animated series like Invincible. We'd have a better chance of Daryl getting a haircut and shower! XD
@BrianAchim I totally agree, plus there's absolutely no need for a Walking Dead animated series by HBO, I mean look at HBO's The Last of Us for example thay can't even get that right plus there's already a third Walking Dead series my Walking Dead Reboot. If HBO was to do an animated Walking Dead series based on TWD Comics it would somewhat effect what I planned for my Walking Dead Reboot Universe but I don't think HBO is gonna do an animated Walking Dead series cause AMC still has the license to TWD plus Gimple still has an interest in doing more Walking Dead spinoffs within AMC's Walking Dead Universe/Franchise so it would make no sense for an animated HBO Walking Dead series
@@Walker_Dead_Phoenix.2016 HBO can't even do it because it seems like AMC have the eternal rights to the walking dead in terms of television. Last Of Us wasn't bad but really lacked in terms of action, if anyone could make it it's Netflix but AMC will never give it up. They'll make 10 more spin offs before selling TWD.
I have recently starte reading the comics for the first time ever (I'm reading the deluxe) and I'm at the woodbery introduction. I love that we've spent so much time in the prison before the governor was even introduced. Also seeing his appearnace was a shock and he is way more hardcore. My jaw dropped when they cut rick's RIGHT arm, like how is he going to function now??? And what he's doing to michone is also very messed up, I can see why they changed the character for the show, and I like both version even tho they are very different
seems ridiculous that author can't even resell rights to the product to more people... I don't really see reason not too, more people involved, more ideas... why is it like that with such complex things but you can resell basically everything multiple time if possible, like licenses etc. However, I'd love to see the anime in "comic" style, like no animations, just pictures with voice-acting or something like that
@@TWDExplained what if he started a new story arc with new characters but in the same universe? But the new characters never interact or even are ever made aware of our beloved original characters?
How about a man who's been hiking into the mountains maybe across the Appalachian trail and he comes out to civilization a month or two into the apocalypse... He already has the survival skills but he struggles with the walkers
The only problem then would be to find good voice actors that can truly portray the sheer panic and destitution you see in the panels lol
It would need to be a serious production for sure

Robert ran out of steam as a writer a long time before the TWD comic ended. What we need is a TWD comic that isn’t written by him.
As much as i want this to happen, it unfortunately won't.

Yeah - sex & violence rated R toon

I don't see HBO doing an animated Walking Dead series why cause AMC still has the Walking Dead licence so it wouldn't make sense
That be cool! But what kind of animation?? CGI animation like The Clone Wars? Or 2D animation like other shows or other animation styles.
Love your content!
I would love to see the comic book come to life.
the walking dead cartoon done right would be amazing

In all fairness animation is better to avoid kids getting too old too fast
yep
Happy new year James!!!
Thanks Paul - Happy Rockin' New Year!!!
I just want Andrew Lincoln to voice Rick just like how Steven voices invincible
Yea rob has a wholeeee lot of TWD cast members on invincible. Like almost everyone 😭😭

Yeah the Gov in the comic is even more brutal and crazy

It's highly unlikely but it would be nice to have

I’m up to issue 78 I think of the deluxe edition .

just a difference in selling the rights and licensing the rights
most of all, I miss Charlie Adlard's artwork
why is it up to AMC? WHy not Image??? There was a decent video/still motion for the first episode here on youtube... it's pretty good.
Kirkman sold the TV rights to AMC - ANYTHING TV (animated or not) has to be done by them or through them

not on tv - just comic @@hobbz4921
