Great video! I found that plastic plug in the bottom of my oil pan when I took it off and had no idea where it had come from. Nice to be able to see how the locking tools fit, instead of blurry videos from in car repairs.
Thank you. Happy to help you
Thank you, man!!! I spent an hour searching specs for oil pump bolts and couldn't find the info anywhere. But then I found your video and I got all the answers I was looking for! Thanks again!
Good video and very well done. As a fellow mechanic i was really anxious when you torqued the oil pump balance saft bolt😅 i think i'm going to buy a new bolt for that just to be sure.
Bolt already stretched - had to adjust the torque settings on the torque wrench. New bolt always or less torque but good video
For anyone else reading this, a new oil pump balance shaft bolt comes with the N20 timing chain kit from BMW. The whole kit is about $150 and includes chain, guides, tensioner valve cover seals, crank bolt, crank sprocket, oil pump chain, oil pump revised sprockets, oil pump tensioner.
Great video that shows how to assemble the the oil pump, How do you lock the engine to TDC if there is no flywheel since the Flywheel of the manual engine does not fit on the stand
Hey Thank you your comment. You cant lock the engine on DTC when no flywheel on it.
good video ..not good the Old Tensioner is ground off and old bolt for shaft(Expansion Screw!!!!) .Thats must new !!!!!!!!
Do what you have to do. Thanx for your comment
Great Video. Thank you!
good job man !!
Thank you
I have a question, I done timing chain on 2013 BMW 328i xdrive N26, car just cranks but doesn’t start permanent code PO52B any idea?!
Thanks for your help..
Im sorry to say but you make some mistake when you set the timing. Easy to make a mistake. So first try to put back all the timing tool. Check the timing.
Car Ready I’m going to opened a valve cover end double check timing.
Thanks !!
No problem
Good evening, what is the reason why you have changed the oil pump? Did you get a warning in the low oil pressure box? Thanks
I don't changed the oil pump, engine was fully take a part.
@@CarReadySmokeBrake thanks
from where can I purchase alignment tools kit for oil pump installation ????

Can this repair be made with out pulling the engine?
Yes FCPeuro made one of that video but the thru is so harder to do. I recommended just take out the engine.
Looks like the old pump design
no problem with that so dont change
what is the torque for oil pump to engine block??
He said it in the vid but it’s 19 NM + 90 degrees of rotation.
K dijo.....
