If it helps, you can actually easily recycle it. I believe the content creator recycles the soap and then donates it but I’m not sure. I think you just soak the soap leftover into new soap. The new soap isn’t very aesthetically pleasing but it works so..
It's not wasted, ever. Think about tit this way - if a bar of soap is used for washing, it was used to help one person. If a bar of soap is used in an ASMR video that will be watched by 1,000s of people, it was used to help 1,000s of people. It's not waste. It's just a different use.

The 2 main soaps I've seen microwaved & cut are Duru & Fax, which I believe are Turkish (but you can buy on eBay). I have personally used Irish Spring soap & it does the same thing.. but your microwave _stinks_ for weeks after.
Microwave for 3 min.. do not squeeze it or stir, dont even touch it.. then you have to let dry, because it will be soft at 1st. Not sure exactly how long to let dry after microwaving. I'd say at LEAST few days to weeks. I'm gonna try to find out! Let ms know if you know... I don't have a microwave or else I would have experimented many times by now
