My, Betty sure has a rhinoceros leather instead of skin Did not stop until caused Rodney's relapse, started yelling shouting, instead of telling him, as long as you are recovering nothing matters, whatever happens, happens, it is not even just upset, all her personality showed nothing but greediness
+democolor42 You doesn't come across as a very nice girl or loving wife. The ultimate avaricious, plotting women out to get what she wants no matter what. Certainly makes Betty interesting and a HUGE contrast to Rita, who is sweet, kind and sensible.
Why is Steven frequently heard to say to others that he's busy or that he has alot of work to catch up on, even on nights & weekends? What makes him so busy? He lives in a small town. There can't be that much legal work he's inundated with. He doesn't refer to any upcoming trials or anything. I know it's just a dialogue device but it seems that most of his legal work would be small-timey stuff. Doesn't the guy ever want to have any fun with the legal fees he's supposedly earning? Seems a little unbelievable but, again, I know it's meant to give Cord a reason to be in his office at all hours, especially when another cast member needs to barge in, just something to have him say, script-wise.
I'm disappointed that Percy Rodrigues and Ruby Dee take second billing at the end of the show credits. Ruby Dee deserved to have her credits as "guest Star" Ruby Dee. I appreciate that the producers of Peyton Place created a story line for a black family, but I am ashamed that they do not give the star treatment credits to Ruby Dee.
Susan playing chess in her sparkly top is way more hilarious than they intended, I'm sure!
Once Peyton had died Betty acted as though the inheritance was a done deal, wanting to buy the peyton house and generally jumping the gun.
Doc Miles, Slap Lou silly!
Betty tries to push the blame on Steven for Rodney’s being back in the hospital by saying Steven brought bad news
Betty loves money and Betty, in that order.
For once, I'm in agreement with Norms attitude.
Stephen giving drinks to Susan, the alcoholic!
Both Betty and Susan are treacherous, manipulative, and selfish women.
How can Steven kiss that gross Susan?
Any port for a storm
Betty, wealth, Rod!
In that order!

IstvanN1961 ??????
oooooooppppps, typo, I meant to write SHE, as in Betty, doesn't come across very nice.
come now, who wouldn't be devastated to think they inherited millions and then find out they did not, That doesn't mean she doesn't love rod
I don't think she does or ever did.
Susan, your usefulness, if any, is over, and your reverend seems to have fallen off his fishing boat.

Lew, come clean to your parents. They will help you.

They didn't to Lee Grant either.
