San Pedro is definitely a psychedelic. It has mescaline, along with some other alkaloids. It definitely has emphathogenic properties though. Its very similar to peyote.
EARTH ... Absolute nonsens... Peyote and San Pedro are both cacti that contain mescaline (and other alkaloids), but that is where the similarities ends. Peyote is a slow growing, small button like cactus, with a rather large taproot. It has tuft of wolly hair instead of spines, and it belongs to the genus lophophora. - the botanical name being Lophophora williamsii (pronounced lo-fo-fo-ra). San Pedro, which is actually a group of (mainly) three cacti; pachanoi, peruvianus and bridgesii, is a large columnar cacti with spines (although some may be spineless). They belong to the genus Trichocereus (formerly echinopsis) botanical name being Trichocereus pachanoi, T. peruvianus and T. bridgesii (pronounced Tri-cho-cereus) Furthermore, they don't grow in the same habitat. Peyote is found in Mexico and southern Texas, while san pedro grows in Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador (mainly)
@@kth5077 Okay. I don't know why you're trying to argue with me. I'm aware that there are many different types of psychedelic cacti. All I said was that Peyote and San Pedro are from the same family. EARTH ... Yeah, sorry. I am thinking in biological terms... actually, I will have to correct myself, as all cacti are in the same family , which is named cactaceae - the cactus family. So on that point you were kind of right! - But they are classified completely differently - separated by their genus, (as I mentioned in my earlier post), and as such cannot be lumped together just because they both contain mescaline. It makes no sense. . Besides peyote contains different alkaloids like lophophoforine which contributes greatly to the effect; these are not found in San pedro,,or bolivian or peruvian torch. Also, did you know that mescaline is found in many other, vastly different cacti besides peyote and San pedro, arbeit in smaller quantities.?

There something that i see in your eyes which reminds me of what I saw im Baba Ram Dass. The veil has been lifted and now you see whats beyond all that is psychical. When we get to the core of who we really are i think we realize the key is LOVE
i love the way you think Dakota. The way you respect and admire nature, the way you moved that piece of grass gently aside when recording the Huachuma and not just picking it out of the ground. You have a beautiful mind and I wish there were more people who think like you do.
Looks like a Paradice for sure. What a great place to hang out I was lucky to grow up in a Florida Paradice but that was way back in the 60s.......Love the art work at the end of the video
N1m H411iday He said when they crush the seeds and blow them onto someones face it causes amnesia. Then he said they strap the flower to their forehead to remember lost items. I think he touched the plant then touched his forehead for the purpose of remembering something. He would only get amnesia if he crushed the seeds and threw them on his face.
Paisa Power ... Nah, I doubt it... If pure isolated scopolamine is blown in your face, you may be turned into a compliant zombie with amnesia or die from an overdose -it is a gamble...
Huemai ... Yes, you can put a flower in your pillowcase before sleep and you can even smoke a bit of the leaves for a slight high...no problem, but ingesting any part of the plant is very dangerous. The potency varies alot, even within the same plant, so if you take dose that do not kill you, it might kill you the next time you take it...

I was in psychological treatment for four years and through you I have seen that there are more possibilities than just the normal ones available to us to heal ourselves and to get over dramatic experiences or to become better people. At this point in my life I'm not ready to go to this wonderful place, because I believe your own intuition will tell you when you're ready you'll feel it and right now I'm not feeling that feeling. Because I see myself how I react in certain situations And I see in myself many mature ones are still missing. And it is completely ok that I give myself the time for that first before i come here. But when the time is ready and I feel ready, I want to collect many memories in this place and learn to accept myself as a human being more, to love myself more, to be more patient with me, to accept some things that happened and to see the past as something to be grateful for and not always so often as something painful and something that makes me overthink. Because I think among other things I have a lot of feelings in me that have not had the chance to be free yet. The sentence Ayahuasca does not give you what you want but what you need. This has triggered a feeling of respect in me and for this reason I have to stand on two firm legs in my life before receiving what this place has in it for me. Of course there is also a touch of fear, because you never know what will happen there, because every experience is so individually different and some experiences must be painful to heal. And I don't know if I have to go through something horrible first to heal or not. But mostly it is respect for this place.
