Dammit, another awesome looking wargame that is hard/limited to get a hold off. I need to stop my addiction of trying to discover new games xD This looks a lot like a tabletop version of Flashpoint Campaigns games. gonna keep my eye on these!
Remember, 2 cultivated hexes block LOS. Units in blocking terrain (woods) also gain an additional 1d6 bonus against ATGMs (Green attack dice). So for that TOW reaction shot, you couldn't of fired due to LOS and if the shot had been clear the Soviet unit would of gotten one more bonus defensive die. Also, I don't think there are national differences in the ATGM depletion chart - the differentiation comes from type of firing platform (Inf or Armor Support Weapon, Dedicated ATGM Vehicles or Helos and IFVs).
@PrimarchX ill have to eyeball the cultivated hexes. Might have missed that being blocking. If I did then the US received a big advantage because I already have the next 3 parts filmed 🤣🤣
@PrimarchX DAMNNNN! I hadn't noticed that there hex right in front of the infantry was cultivated. It was light enough that I mistook it for clear. Now that I see it I will continue to play it as clear since too many shots have been fired both ways. Thats on me though.....well partly them since it did blend in a bit😉
@RotorYoda1986 these I think were a stretch goal for this game or just planned for this game. Since Bitter Harvest they have been including solo cards as a matter of course with the new games
I have both. Not really the same game. Red Hammer has battalion maneuver units while World at War '85 has platoon maneuver units. That said, I think Dawn's Early Light is a great game system with wonderfully simplistic, elegant rules that make it very playable while capturing lots of elements I'm looking for in a game of that scale.
Why did you place the Soviet HQ up front in the only vulnerable hex to your missiles? Did you draw a solo card for their second activation? Otherwise excellent.
@aaronsibley39 I was paying more attention to the HQs location based on what was central to cover all the units. Besides playing both sides while filming, and worrying about camera position/sound is going to lead to less than perfect decisions. In a later video I fly one of my Apache's right next to a enemy ground to air missile since I was focused on another target. It works both ways.
@@thegimpygamer I have similar problems on my channel. Narrating, filming, remembering rules and playing both sides can be difficult. Thanks for the videos. The game is on my to buy list. I have Storming the gap, but I needs to get it to the table more often...
@aaronsibley39 this is one that I wouldnt wait on. Storming the Gap is hard to find retail because no one is selling their copy. I anticipate B&F being similar. I'll make sure to give you a shout out in the next video to drive some traffic for you.
Is that any good? I recently got WaW85 STG and instantly obsessed with it already, but saw BnB and looks like a fun one for a more quick play session. Plus Brits! (I know they're in this but don't know when Blood and Fury will come to retail)

Looks like a great game.
Man, mine can't come soon enough!

@@thegimpygamer I've done it, too, so I had to point it out!
When did the new solo assistant cards become available? I haven't seen those before.

Are they supposed to replace the original solo assistant used with NaW?
Have you played "Corps Command: Dawn's Early Light - Red Hammer"? If so, how does it stack up against this? Seems like they are pretty similar games.
@RiktigaFimpen i haven't played that game so I can't compare. Sorry.

I still have and play Blood and Bridges. Same game, just fewer rules and missing some updates.
