Great little game with deep complexity. Perfect on the steam deck for sitting back and playing a couple rounds. The unit gallery alone is worth the admission price

Great game. I am now defending Italia from the allied invasion with my tiger and the same commander from Poland. I weirdly still have my loader from Poland too. Lost everyone else from that operation in Afrika Corps.. Lost two tigers already 10 days out of 40 for the operation. One of those losses was weird as I was knocked out from the front by no incredible gun. I hope to survive Italia. I have tried the Polish operation as Poland, very difficult as they only have one good tank and it is a light one. I always die near the end of the operation.

For me, the graphics are a feature, not a bug... I've sunk thousands of hours into Dwarf Fortress, Net Hack, Qud, etc, and once you're engrossed in the gameplay, you don't see ascii symbols and blocks... you are totally immersed. You are in "matrix mode". So glad you came back to revisit this game!

I was hoping you'd go for the river to play some WWII Frogger.

One thing that has kept me from buying the BB3 is the lack of something similar to eternal league.. where you could literally play your team for 50 years or even hundreds if you wish to, seeing players being retired after many years and literally have a dynasty in offline. Until... it mostly shut down and won't save your progress anymore even offline. That's why now I'm considering BB3... and not even sure there's an equivalent to eternal league yet... big sale going on.. hope I won't waste 25$ on a huge deception.. but I really need my BB fix 😅

The more I see this game, the more I want it! I even bought the Starter Kit the other day, so I can get a little taste while I wait for it to arrive

I came out of retirement from playing modern warfare strategy sims when I seen the proof of product given by the pre-release developer streams of Sea Power by Stealth17 and Wolfpack365. Former highly experienced player from Janes Fleet Command who has also played Harpoon. Was in one of the online multiplayer groups (called virtual navies) of the game where we played against the best talent in the world around the early 2000s (2000-2004). Quite a few former US navy and I think at least one was a former US marine that were in that group of players. I hope the developers hit all their roadmap objectives so it gets the single player experience polished up properly so there will ample reason to add multiplayer support for player vs player and cooperative. I went into retirement from playing these games because all the multiplayer interest dried up over the years.

Loving the game, as a retired missile fire controlman (Tartar/Aegis). There are some things that aren't true to the fact, but good enough. Graphics are awesome. Cannot wait till they upgrade it all the way to current days, to include China, drones, etc. Farthest I can go with mission editor currently is 1992, no Ford class, Burke, etc.

I refunded my copy. A couple of crashes and terrible UI were the main reasons. Might check it out when it releases out of early access

Good game, but a lot of bugs need ironed out before it's great. Twice now my missiles have disappeared halfway through scenarios. The missiles are being fired and are there, you just cant see them on the map. Also a few CTDs. But definitely a lot of potential with this one.

Looking forward to this one! I love me some modern sub and surface naval action.

Dammit, another awesome looking wargame that is hard/limited to get a hold off. I need to stop my addiction of trying to discover new games xD This looks a lot like a tabletop version of Flashpoint Campaigns games. gonna keep my eye on these!

Why did you place the Soviet HQ up front in the only vulnerable hex to your missiles? Did you draw a solo card for their second activation? Otherwise excellent.

Cash is king. I do think wargaming has not so advertise friendly aspects. UA-cam is Alphabet's asset/platform and they are just having to weak algorythms when they can't sperate a book or game or film about war or voilnce from real war or filmed active violence.

Three Stuka games came out at roughly the same time. I chose the LnL one because it felt much different from the usual games in this genre. I liked that it uses cards instead of dice and that there were several theater options, in addition to different aircraft models. DVG's version had too much 'bloat' for me and should have been called Luftwaffe Leader, not Stuka Leader.

I got to talk to him in a small forum in an early Dragoncon (maybe it was still Atlanta Fantasy Fair...) back in the late 80s. I love his games.

Solid little game Gimpy. And I think you forgot to mention that you can keep your surviving crew if you finish an operation to be used in another one chronologically. The game just needs better graphics although not the superficial aspect but rather the useful portion of the graphics. I want to graphically see the difference between a tank, a spatg or artillery, and an atg. All those look the same, just a line and a dot. Tanks should be a tiny rectangle box with a circle and a line for their turret. The space should be like the tanks minus the circle. Spart should be like space but with a thicker line for the cannon or a cannon of another colour. Etc. If you guys like all those solo war boardgames, you have most of them as mods on Tabletop Simulator. Do not forget to thank the person who brought it to tts. Gimpy, I probably told you about it already, try Angola '86 video game. It is as if GMT decided to make video game instead of boardgames with their COIN series. 😊

Remember, 2 cultivated hexes block LOS. Units in blocking terrain (woods) also gain an additional 1d6 bonus against ATGMs (Green attack dice). So for that TOW reaction shot, you couldn't of fired due to LOS and if the shot had been clear the Soviet unit would of gotten one more bonus defensive die. Also, I don't think there are national differences in the ATGM depletion chart - the differentiation comes from type of firing platform (Inf or Armor Support Weapon, Dedicated ATGM Vehicles or Helos and IFVs).

Frussians don't have command and control only movement and attack doctrine like ww2
