@@yoso378cerberus only has one head, the concept that it had 3 heads was not based on the original myth or depictions of cerbrus, which only has one head.

@@barockobalma8622 SMT1 Protag, Aleph, the cast of DDS and Taisho 20 Raidou Kuzunoha are all top tier character designs that can not be beaten.

Insane take, Kaneko's Lillith is way better.
Doi's designs are too loud and have too much going on and have far too much anime inspiration for my tastes. Demeter being one of the prime examples.
In comparison Kaneko heavily used real world inspiration and political theming in his demon designs because demons in SMT are supposed to represent the creations of a collective consciousness made manifest. This allowed for far more poignant designs which showed exactly what each demon was representative of and what its place in the world was, rather than having a bunch of humanoids based on anime tropes.
I definitely like the new Lilith way more, especially with the added snake.
But that being said I do like Kaneko's Lilith design a good bit, but to me it never really stood out compared to other demons he made.
@@Vanity0666 You say this but it's not like this was the case for every of Kaneko's design. He often prioritized creative freedom while designing some demons (something some people throw as a critique to Doi) and it shows in some cases since not all of his old works are very faithful or representative of the usual depictions. He's obviously a great artist with a great influence within the series but the point I'm trying to make is that he has plenty of misses as well.
@@Vanity0666 I disagree. The old lilith looks bland, her feet look goofy, can't take the Elvis hairstyle seriously. This new lilith actually looks alluring, has the red motif that matches the title 'Vengeance', her face looks way more mysterious and sinister, even the snake around her looks more threatening.
I like kanekos more but at least we can all agree both are better than whatever tf IV’s was

Pretty sure Kaneko isn't coming back on behalf of Atlus being owned by Sega instead of an independent entity now.
@@Vanity0666Atlus was already owned by a company called Index before Sega, but Index went bankrupt so Sega bought Atlus. If he wanted more Independence, idk if that would explain why he would join colopl instead either.
@@Vanity0666 Yeah. Can't blame me for hoping he does a guest demon design now and then though. lol. As I said, Doi is doing a fantastic job. Pure nostalgia on my part hoping for a guest design from Kaneko now and then.

@@dahazelgen But it have popular anime tropes from shonen (power of friendship, bath scene, cringe dialogues, one dimensional characters etc.). Even Persona 5 and Tokyo Mirrage Sessions writers wrote scenario for this game.

Yes I agree Cerberus deserve new design. Also Loki need new design or go back to his original design from Digital Devil Story Megami Tensei OVA. Both Kaneko designs of Loki are ugly asf.

You're talking about Atlus? The ones who put out day 1 dlc priced at over $30, who re-release games after a couple years with slightly more content for full price, the ones who don't even offer free upgrades to the next gen version and charge you full price for 60fps?
@@Troop- Sega invented DLC on Mega Drive and Saturn. This was 15 years before the first DLC for Oblivion, when scummy practices started growth.

I wonder if Qadistu as strong women and initiater for men they share the same archétypes as Khadija wife of the prophet of Islam
A strong woman, inititate " the king " in monotheism (knowledge, in ancient time Qadistu are initiater of knowledges for King/Princes/Powerful etc...) and also as his first wife, strong and independant, wife/consort of the god of war Meslam a god of Death named God of peace, it sound paradoxale but islam = mean peace but also mean death thats why)
Salem = god of peace but peace in a relation with Death (like in a " rest in peace" way maybe)
Jérusalem = City of peace (salem mean peace)
But back in time Jérusalem mean " City of Salem " the god of Death and war
And so islam have a god of war and disease like in ancient babylonian myth i wonder if Khadija from islam is not a Qadistu archétypes, even if with time they go more with a submit and pure innocent woman for domination over them
Semitic language are very hard as words can mean everything and the contrary
Khadija mean " the holy virgin " as it can be " the prostitute " but also " the sacred/holy prostitute"
Edit : Salem and Meslam are the same divinity, maybe more title or secondary name, the main name must be Nergal

His demon designs kind of suck but I'm here for the ride nonetheless.
