    Hi,
I have just bought the Prograde reader for CFexpress Type B and SD cards. I don't know if it's faulty. I can eject the SD card only with "Safely Removal", but I can't eject the CFexpress Type B card.
I always have to remove the CFexpress Type B card forcibly. Can you tell me how I can solve this problem?
I use Windows 10. Otherwise I have to send it back.
    Thanks

From what I read, on Windows 10 it doesn't matter anymore, as long as you are not during a read/write you can just pull the card. I'm doing the same for few years now (even before CFExpress) and all is working as usual

      To add to DimusTech:
You can remove it without a problem it more than 99.99% of times.
If you happen to catch a "check up" read (usually a timeframe of less then 1 ms), it might take a few seconds on the next insert as the medium is marked as "dirty" (data potentially missing) It's an easy fix with the prompt that *would* appear in such cases: just let it sit there for a few hours as it check every teeny tiny block. lel. (not worth it, 1 TB can take up to 16h+)
if you are not using the card, check the Taskmanager whether a program is still running that used/uses the card.
A program might ask the OS to let the card be virtually "locked" for whatever reason (e.g. Data Integrity). Gallery-Apps do that sometimes.
However these apps would recreate the data anyway nowadays.
Vista and below *could* create bad sectors. 7 is mostly safe. 8+ is fine if the app is UWP or something non-ancient.

Unfortunately, you didn't mention or show what the connection cables look like during the unboxing step. Lots of confusion out there these days with USB type A and USB 3.2 and USB-C cables, etc. That would've been very helpful.

I didn't think someone needs such explanation as I did mention it has a USB-C port and comes with 2 cables.

@@DimusTech I stand corrected. Yes, I missed that part. You did cover it in your video. Thanks.

How reliable is this brand? I’ve only been using Sandisk

I've been using mostly Sandisk as well, Seems like it works at least as good as Sandisk if not better (and the speeds are much better for me)

Sony uses CFExpress Type A, not B...
