Replacing your old sagging springs will restore your trucks ride quality and height. Be sure to replace your U-Bolts. Let me know if you have any questions about this repair.
I was just about to tackle this project and was wondering if those U bolt sizes are the only size that will fit a 96 bronco. I've looked at every parts store in town and can't find any that match those measurements. Thank you
I'm wondering if I should just change my bushings and keep my OG springs. I got an 89 bronco xlt. Notice any change in ride quality with the new leafs?
These videos are great, thank you! I’m 16 and just bought my first car, 1995 Bronco XLT. I’m planning on following your guides as they seem very detailed. Hopefully I can get it fixed up before senior year, thanks!
Congrats on your first car/truck. These trucks are very fun to restore and drive. I usually focus on brakes and steering first, then everything else follows.
Your Bronco videos have helped me so much! ( just this weekend your video on the ignition control module helped me. ) They are clear and simple! Much appreciated! 🙏 Thanks!
Your videos have been so helpful as I'm currently restoring my dad's old 95 5.8l EB bronco. One thing I recently struggled with and maybe would be an interesting video are the parking brake cables. Thanks and keep putting these out!
Another fantastic video that continues to inspire my confidence and abilities to perform very meaningful restoration work on my 2 owner, 93 F-150 XLT. I truly appreciate your time and dedication to help us through your shared knowledge and experience. Best wishes and look forward to the next video 👏👏⭐️💯
I notice that you install the hardware as is, that is, you don't slather everything with grease on the threads or shafts. Is there any need or advantage to applying some? Maybe it depends on your weather and if you park it outside. Very well done video.
Fixing to start doing the rear end of my 94 Ford f150 extra cab short bed replacing both leaf springs, leaf spring shackles, as well as the brackets that are bolted to the frame and a sway bar bushings
You are awesome man, I just picked up a 95 f250 , I love it, looking to little by little restore it, 140k one owner miles and it is clean, I got 172 and 327 code, Stumbled on ur video 👍👍👍. You anywhere around TN?
This is insane. There isnt even a touch of surface rust on this thing... What state is this from? I don't even want to imagine doing this job. I find it that it would be nearly impossible to get some of these bolts off lol.
Good video once again! I wanna find a leaf spring pack that gives the same stock ride height but has a larger overall length so they flex a bit easier. I wanna fabricate some mounts similar to the sky's offroad kit to put super duty springs on an obs truck. Apparently those leaf springs make the ride way smoother because of the greater radius the Leafs have.
Good idea, the factory bronco springs are rated at 1650lbs you can get a set of factory f150 springs as they are rated at 1300lbs which should give a smoother ride, but will sacrifice on towing capacity.
Gotta do this to my '97 250 HD. Coil springs, too. Finding parts is like finding a 4 leaf clover. Called Moog. They don't have anything for my year, or a '96. Rep told me Moog bought Monroe, & is moving towards shocks.
Husky Spring will have for your application. Part number 46395 standard and 43695HD. I believe your truck has leaf springs in the front as well (unless was converted) front leaf 43498 again Husky Springs
thanks for the great video! I need to install the angle block on my Bronco but want to put off installing new leaf springs - is it possible to get the block in there with jacks and removing the U-bolts?
I followed your front suspension video. If I chose the 1-2” lift springs do I need to select a different rear leaf spring or leveling kit? I assume I need to lift the rear by the same amount. Can you please advise?
The 1-2 front lift will level out the truck which people like as these trucks have about a 1-2 rake in the rear. I personally like the rake and would lift the rear about the same amount.
Thanks for the video. Nice rig. My springs actually snapped in half. Dont know why. Where did you purchase everything?i looked online at Dayton website and dont see how ro purchase. Any info is greatly appreciated.
The fitment on the springs says it only goes up to '93 and my bronco is a '94. Strangely having some trouble finding a non-lifted spring for '94 model.

Did you have to contact Dayton Parts via phone/email to order these springs?

Thank you very much. I cannot express how much these videos have helped me. God Bless you.
Thank you so much for great work! You always make everything seem easy. We appreciate all the work and effort you put into your videos. 👋🏻
Your very welcome

How did you get the frame so clean?? This is the cleanest 30+ year old truck I’ve ever seen
Man, these videos are great, just discovered the leafspring hangers are about rotted out on my 96
Thanks very much, as always, great videos and directions.
Thanks

Thanks, it’s comments like these that help me produce videos the best I can.
You made it look easy. My 95 f150 is a pita. It would help if I had bigger jack stands.

This was a very good instruction.
I will be working on my 93 f150
How are you keeping up the undercarriage? It looks great for a 90 !
Thanks, I hose off the undercarriage about once a month and spray it down with detailer.

@@TheFixTech Appreciate your time!!
Rust free. Must be nice. Maybe one day ill live in the south.
Dude!! You said "finagle" 🤯🤣
U know it
Is removing the shock bolts and sway bar end link nuts necessary? Thanks. Man that truck is clean.
👍 good job
Thanks 👍
Morning, is the process of replacing the front leaf springs similar?
I haven’t done a set of fronts but would image should be very similar
Really good videos man, any recommendations where to get a bronco’s 1996 complete tailgate?
thanks for the great video! I need to install the angle block on my Bronco but want to put off installing new leaf springs - is it possible to get the block in there with jacks and removing the U-bolts?
The obs F150 2wd have the 2.5in wide leafs, if you want to use the 4wd leafs that are 3in wide you’ll have to change the shackles and hanger

Can I use the other parts you listed (u bolt , shackle, etc) with the $229 leaf springs at jeff’s bronco graveyard ?
As long as the leaf spring width is the same, 3”
Do you have to take off the rear shackle if I'm just replacing the springs only? Thanks
Rear shackle removal is not required but I do recommend as it does have a rubber bushing that wears out.
Thanks for the video. Nice rig. My springs actually snapped in half. Dont know why.
Where did you purchase everything?i looked online at Dayton website and dont see how ro purchase. Any info is greatly appreciated.
Stanley springs uses the Dayton products. Try Stanley springs.
They're made in Mexico not USA
The fitment on the springs says it only goes up to '93 and my bronco is a '94. Strangely having some trouble finding a non-lifted spring for '94 model.
You are correct, the spring for 1994-1996 is Dayton 431091, also 43-1091
@@TheFixTech Thank you!
Are those original rims ? I have a 97 f150 with same rims is why I ask
where can i buy those springs
What size are your wheels and tires
31 X 10.5 X 15 inch
Is it safe to lift the truck by the pumpkin? Ford manual says not to. There’s a bit confusion on this.
