Saw John like 40 years ago. Always remember as one of my best concert experiences of all time. Cool to see he's still got it! I'm thinking he's still going to have one more season left in his life. Stay tuned for the NEW JOHN M.
My favourite song! And I will never forget the concert in Nassau/Long Island at the Nassau Coliseum back in 1987! I will cherish it forever! Thank you John! ❤❤❤
I'm so sad I've never seen him in concert it's my dream before I die or he does.. wish he'd do. Show at our new crossroads park or sica since he has art work there..
So many memories tied with John's music. My first I can remember (and my favorite) was back in 1982. I was 10 years old and had my walkman with me. I was heading down the road to the penny candy store on a gorgeous sunny day when Jack and Diane came on the radio. I danced the rest of the way to the store with only a slight interruption by a neighbors yard full of Basset Hounds. The 10 (or so) of them barking/howling at me drowned out the sound for a bit. That was the first time I heard his music and I have been a total fan ever since. - Heidi
Johnny Cougar, you've always been one of my fave musicians. My mama, who's passed now, loved you as well, so listening to you makes me feel closer to her. I grew up in a really small town in Indiana, and went to college at IU in Bloomington. I was at the concert you put on at Woodlawn field on a random afternoon, my sophomore year. You've been such a part of my life and not even known it. I wanted to say Thank You. Thank you for the memories, for the soundtrack of my life.
DEAREST JOHN MELLENCAMP !! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH IN ALMOST 40 YEARS !! FROM THE BEGINNING !! I STILL LOVE YOU !! YOU ARE SO COOL !! YOU ARE THE USA !! : ) GO FOR IT !! JOHN !!
Featuring the great Andy York on guitar :-) A great musician and really nice guy. Andy has also played a major role in the comeback of the legendary Ian Hunter over the last two decades. Producing his last five studio albums and playing in his Rant Band for some years.
I personally have my own feelings in regards to Mr Mellencamp. I've heard many rumors to be truthful about the man... first-hand accounts from the people from that small town he was inspired by to write that musical masterpiece. I myself was born and raised and continue to live in a small town. Seymour Indiana is my home town...my small town. To know this song has continued to touch and inspire after all this time means something that's a once in a lifetime kinda thing. Much respect and love for John. Simply an amazing man. With that said everyone has been touched by Hoosier hospitality....enjoy and take care!!!!
My wife and I was driving back from Florida and we finally, well my wife got a pic of the sign on I-65 John Mellencamp Highway! We stopped off at the exit in Seymour and took a break and we had Rally's and remininced about John and his music. We love John!!!
I was born in a smallish town (Tom Petty’s hometown), raised in a small town, married & raised my kids in this same small town, and I guarantee you I’ll die & be buried in the same small town next to my mom, grandparents, etc. But at least it’s in FLORIDA!
Johns voice went to hell. Its because of the cigarettes'. He says he likes the voice. Meanwhile he sounds like a Detroit diesel starting on a cold morning.

AS RELEVANT TODAY as it was 35 years ago !!! GOD BLESS YOU - John !!! "I LOVE YOU MAN" ...... to quote Paul Rudd !!!
Nice new live version of his epic hit "Small Town".
His songs are Timeless and will be played after we are long gone. I'm just glad I grew up in the 70s and I'd do it all over again.
Couldn’t agree more. Well said
The whole performance is amazing,.. He and the band are great..

...and although John's music is good, his taste in political candidates is awful. Mike Bloomberg is awful.
