She is the cutest. I want to wake up to her every day and celebrate her successes on restoring gaming consoles lol. My day would be complete to wake up to: “and it works!”
💐🌹🌺 i absolutely love electronics and computers. I must admit i haven't completely had an opportunity to completely explore or grow with technology itself its like a universe of endless information.
I find that most 8/16-bit systems usually come back to life after a good cleanup. Dust and corrosion are very destructive to such systems, especially to the power supply connections. People also tend to use AC adapters with much higher voltages, which can damage the capacitors inside. However, when it comes to most 32-bit disc-drive systems, the issues almost always revolve around the moving parts of the disc drive and the laser, which can be difficult to find replacements for.
Looks like a safety cap. Although could have been a Varistor difficult to see on the video. Keep up The good work good to see another generation doing what we are trying to do lol 😂
Nice. So what kind of equipment can we reasonably buy to start fixing up old computers and stuff like this? Maybe you can make a video on how we can get started with our own home projects
Any tips on fixing a Sega Game Gear that seems to work (game loads, there's audio and responds to input), but where the display is distorted? I can see movement (in the distortion) when hitting the controls, so it seems display specific. Is this something as simple as replacing all capacitors?
I love old consoles
And it works!
It just works...said Tod Howard calmly 😅
What a lovely genius you are ❤
Everybody loves you girl !! The old-school female repair talent !!😊

Obviously your English is great, but your voice speaking it is also very charming (at least to my Americam ears.) Congrats on your channel success.
Get away from my girlfriend
Of course it works because you are a wizard with electronics/electrics 🙂 Great work 👍🏻

And is it possible to add a new component as an USB port for another type of controller or USB flash for roms?
It is possible to replace the disc drive with an ODE like the Fenrir.

Sounds like a classic Game Gear issue! Replacing the capacitors is a good first step since bad caps are a common cause of display problems.
Replace caps definitely. Game Gear is notorious for bad caps.
Noted, thanks :) I have a whole bunch of capacitors lying around, hope the right ones are there.
