After upgrading from a 400i to this, I fell in love with it too. It has a kind of Star Trek feel to it, especially when you've got two buddies manning the forward consoles. It's fairly jank in some places (elevator is too slow and floaty; sometimes you can get ejected into space if you walk around the ship while in QT). If CIG makes good on their promises (that's a huge "if"), then the updated version will be spectacular. I'm also hoping they do a military version someday, like call it a 625a or something.
600i EXP is my favorite ship and I can't wait for the rework on it. I named mine Great White because the nose of it reminds me of a shark. 600i EXP is one ship that will never leave my fleet. If I ever CCU up from it to Odyssey, I'll be doing a CCU from another ship right back to 600i EXP asap.
It's my favorite as well. It's the best do a lot ship for a solo player.
Now that it's back with the ship showdown I ccu'd too it also 🙌🏽 the rework will be INSANE! I wonder if we will be able to set it as the respawn point 🤔

@@jannis-joelfehl4855 I know i'm a month late, but to name the ship you go to your account, your hangar, click on the ship, and you will see a spot to click on it and give whatever name you want. Hope it helps you or someone else. o7

I love how generic players don't think the 600i has teeth. Until they can't get through their 2 shields and their dead. I have had so many Connies try their luck at the 600, guess they thought it was an easy target. They didn't have a good time.
Bad Connie pilots, and likely a solo Connie pilot ontop of that 🙄

Strangely enough I had a blast (pun intended) doing bounties with my 600i. It's no slouch. You mentioned the Corsair. I honestly tried to like that ship, but holy crap it feels like it handles worse than the 600i in atmosphere and it's got giant aerodynamic surfaces that would make you think it'd be adept at atmospheric flight and maneuvering. I got rid of it after a week.
Yeah, I've never kept my corsair for long. Yeah, the guns are awesome, but that's about it.
One of my favorite ships so far, I love the Origin designs in general. The only way Origin will be topped is if they come out with some more Banu ships because I love the organic design. But that's my aesthetic preference for ships, Star Trek or Farscape.
Love the 600i. Hope they keep the weapons on the pilot so you can luxuriously fly it solo, even if it’s not as effective as other ships the same sized multi crewed.

Like the 600i now don't look at the rework renders. You definitely won't get rid of it.
Wish they had a S3 Rattler version
It's on my "to get" list. I'll bet you can fit a Fury in the main bay of the Exp version. I'm kind of hoping a Fury will fit in my 400i.
With the hull buff she got in 3.18 because of the ballistics changes, and the slightly better handling with the lowered mass components in 3.19, 600i has become my favorite go-to bounty hunting ship. I opt to keep the 3 S5 laser cannons to snap shot for higher damage per trigger pull because she's STILL pretty boaty, and not sure about you, but I was doing group HRTs and going against reclaimers. I just find it a lot easier to snap shots every time I get crosshairs on them rather than spewing walls of lead "over in that general direction", but a dakka 600i does still spark feelings of joy. With the rework adding the T2 med bed and apparently more cargo space, she's going to be a smaller and arguably more dangerous Carrack alternative, and quite possibly the best well-rounded multi-purpose tonk-toting soloable battle yacht... at least until engineering comes into play. I named mine the "No Sir I Am Not Overcompensating". She is lovely.

Hurricanes get missiles. I can not be arsed to get into a turning fight with a hurricane and they start to hurt pretty quick if they get on you.

I just wish that big of a ship could actually carry something, instead of all the wasted space for crew stations that don't have a use.

Only certain ships are nameable right now. When you look at your hanger on rsi you can see if the ship is nameable and you would name it there.

It's a carrack now. Mainly cuz of the top hanger and an already functional med bay.
