- I'm not much of a traveler, but.. I have to admit. Doing a little extra driving, to experience less trash fish, and better fishing, has certainly been worth it. That said, I can't neglect the home waters completely. It just wouldn't be right. We tried these spots REAL EARLY in the year. It was meh, but spring has spring and everything is finally warming up. I woke up, got one of the kids to school, and made the short drive to the poop creek. Hoping some game fish moved up, and they did.

I think the poopy Nebraska creeks are part of the appeal of your channel. Especially when you scratch out a nice white bass, sauger and some nice rough fish.

I’ve been using that swim bait but on a weightless Texas rig and it slays bass here in West Virginia
The ML has been my go to lately. Ended up ordering another one after chipping the line guide insert on my original one. Repaired the chipped section with a rubber dowel and clear JB weld epoxy and it works like a brand new rod. So now I have 2 of the 6-6 stick 😆 both paired with Stradics, one with 6lb braid and the other 10lb.
Go west young man! I'm a Nebraska native that followed his wife to Kans-ass. We travel back to the north country every chance we get to kayak fish the clear water of the sandhills. Think it's time for some pike and muskie kayak fishin with boo, if you ask me. Keep rippin brother!
We did have a good time last time we did that. Heard there's been a bunch of fish kills at Valentine though.

The medium light Stache Stick is great. Really happy with how nice it can toss a lighter bait out there, but it's strong enough for a nice fish. Been throwing a bunch of curly tails lately, and that thing is money.

I'm glad you get to do what you do but please don't say you have bad fishing.
I watch all of your videos with a combination of loving support and seething jealousy at what you get to do, close or far from home. You catch more walleye on average per episode than I have in my life.
Something you can always do to help clean up is grab a couple of the big bundles of line people leave on the ground and throw it in your pocket or tackle box. Anyway, thanks for the video, great as always!

Drum buds, the best walleye imitators out there. We get some huge ones in the spring here while walleye fishing. Usually see a couple in the double digits. People dislike them up here, but they hit hard and fight great so I'll take them. Keep up with the great content.

Catching fish is always the goal, but the 2nd goal is to go home with everything you came with, havent been doing to well myself, usually donate 2-4 flies per trip.

Some of my best fish have hit when I was dead sticking just letting it sit on the bottom for a while and now and then twitch it and then move slowly and repeat
Wipers, white bass and yellow bass are our favorite eating fish. Thick and girthy. They have a very small rib cage that gives you lots more meat. The flesh is firm and flaky when cooked.❤
