Yessir!!! He was AMAZING in that film. I saw it in theatre’s and bought it on DVD. He did hold his own, with everyone and was incredibly ambitious, suave, eloquent and strong yet emotional while doing so. He’s got it all and leaves the audience satiated but wanting more.
Glad you mentioned Fracture. I feel that is criminally underrated. Ryan playing off Hopkins was an unexpected delight and the plotline was really clever too

Either because he seems to a Good Person, who happens to be a colosally bankable film actor, when most people's para is to the characters, not the person? Or because he plays the truth and not the perfection of the characters he chooses to play - there's always a feeling of authenticity, of real people rather than a character or cog in the story? I struggle with this myself, and that's as far as I've got mostly though, I tell my brain to shut up and just enjoy it. 😅

This is so funny because my daughter also loved movies so much. She had a learning disability and reading when she was younger and movies were her way of learning about the world. She watched black-and-white. She watched Steve McQueen she watched all the oldies and the new ones. And she was able to fill the void that she had from not enjoying books. So funny to hear how they affected his life as well. By the way, she is very successful and finished college just fine
