I agree, it's nice to be able to hear the rhythm guitar. In recent years, Francis and Rhino are so loud in the mix that you can barely hear Richie most of the time. Great performance!
Thanks we do aim to capture that early 70s sound. The SG/HH IC100S combination is the set up Rick was using 72-74 as can be heard on the Piledriver, Hello! and Quo albums.
Thank you although something to consider is that for better or worse with original artists their preferences in sound and playing evolve over time and in the case of Quo that is a very long time!
@@mickhughesquoconnection I used to use one of those back in 1976 can't remember think mine had reverb unit in it I remember seeing Marc bolan use one on top of the pops.
Amazing, great mix too, even the real quo don't always achieve such a balanced sound

Wow. This is Status Quo before they became Status Coke. Fantastic sound!
See you back at the Brook sometime. Awesome.
Even miserable git Rossi would have been impressed with this wonderful version
Spat my beer out reading this. 🤣😂🤣👍
😂😂😂
Excellent
Nothing like Quo!! Francis would have made 2 dozen mistakes in that ;) Brilliant
Bloody awesome that's all I can say....
Love this song
Bonjour . Superbe version . Bravo
Just wish they come down south east
We're hoping to soon. :)
Super.Great ❤❤❤
Brilliant job on the sound stage mixing. Great playing also. That SG sound on the solo was a very convincing copy of Ricks sound.

Furkin awesome.
Very tight fellas!!!😀
absolutely brilliant
Well done lads keep up the good work
Brilliant sound. Well done guys.
Excellent. They play very well of course. Experienced musicians would. So how come the original artist finds this so difficult?
As enjoyable as this is, Rossi definitely delivers a better DWMT solo. Watch the Live Aid version to see how that final solo is played

Well done..but still far away..Francis is Special✌️
klinkt als de spreekwoordelijke klok!
Pretty tight.. Is that two HH 100ic amps on top of those marshall cabs?😁
Yes it is
Yes Paul I have two early 70s HH IC100S Heads

@@paulwaites6551 your one would have been the IC100. Bolan and Andy Scott of Sweet used them as did Quo during their 'Classic' era.
