What a nice Auntie you are! The boys will love the gifts. I have the exact same obsession with Back To School supplies! I am 69 now and it is STILL very strong. When my girls graduated from college, I would take neighborhood kids and church kids out for a Back To School shopping trip for school supplies. It was great fun. When grandkids came along it was fabulous for those items, Then when they were Homeschooled (still are) I was in Heaven cause I could buy them year round! I don't know why I do that????
I am equally obsessed with office and school supplies! I used to use up my dad's office supplies to the point that everything was gone when he needed to do the books for our farm! I still have so many supplies. My husband asks me how many pens I need. I remind him that he doesn't really want to know! Thanks for sharing. I love the way the journals turned out!
How sweet of you to do this. I TOO have been obsessed with office supply stuff since I was little. All I ever wanted to be was a "secretary" so I could have a desk full of pens and pencils, pads and notebooks, little containers, etc.!!! And that's what I ended up being.. and though retired, I still have more fun browsing the office supply isles at the stores. Can't get enough of little notebooks and journals and pads and pens. My step-granddaughters always get art supplies from me - pads for drawing, pencils and pens and little notebooks, just about every holiday and Christmas!
Same here..although we have limited variety compared to some other countries I love love collecting stationery ..but don’t use much as I just love looking at my collection
This is great! I to have an obsession for office supply's and I am 70 years young - you never get over it. Love your channel - you are so precious and inspiring.
Amber, I'm binge watching you.🙂 I remember these! I have a thing for school supplies also! So wierd, I'm 72 now, but STILL buy them (in excess)! I get REAL excited when they start coming out🤔😋!?!?
I have a school, office and, especially, a CRAFT supply addiction... And I'm not ashamed to admit it!!!!! Hope you have a blessed day and Happy Easter!!!
How sweet! Lucky you to live near family! Great idea! Back in the day it was called The Five and Dime. That started my obsession on the pencil and paper aisle. Have never understood it. Can’t even draw a straight line, but a 50+ year obsession anyway! Stay safe!!!
Cute boys gifts! I like composition notebooks also to create and write in! I homeschooled our son from 5th grade to high school and noticed I missed school shopping after he graduated cause that's when I could get the best bargains. smile!
I've watched this video several times. I have made 1 cover a couple years ago and hated how it turned out. After watching this one, I thought I would try it. Oh my gosh, what a difference it made. I've now completed 1 that I did while I was watching the video. Now I can work on the other 5 that I've had forever. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I have an obsession with pens. I'd hate to k ow how many packages of unopened pens I have around our house. Some day my daughter will find them and smile...I hope. Brian
What an excellent comp book hack! You totally solved the issue of the white space that’s left after you fold over the cover paper! Perfect way to cover it quickly. Because comp books are what I like to play with the most, there will be times I will do the more laborious method, simply because I enjoy making it a more painstaking process, but this is unbeatable for efficiency!! You are such a thoughtful auntie, I’m sure the boys were excited to receive their goodies. By the way, I share your passion for office supplies! Browsing Staples is my idea of a fun time!😄
What a beautiful idea. I’m sure your sister will appreciate this as much if not more than your nephews. Thanks for sharing this easier way to cover the books.
Every locked-in kid should have an aunt like you! and get a gift filled with so much love and careful consideration of who the recipient is! I hope they will remember this time by their special journals, and not by the mysterious, intangible fears and distress all around us! With luck, you are teaching them that there can be a bright side to anything.
I loved this 💜 you are an Aunt to your nephew's like my sister is to my kids...and my Aunt who is like you and like my sister is battling stage 4 ovarian cancer...everybody needs a special Aunt in their life...one that makes you a better person...your nephew's are small...but they will surely feel their Aunt's love through these packages...thank you for sharing this video with us ☺
I love that yours have a fold over edge. I have tried to glue and cut to cover dimensions, but the long edge started to fan up a little. Which drove me crazy! Lol I am sure your nephews loved their gifts! ❤️
Just found your video. Much better way of covering composition books! And yes, I would fold the narrow piece over first.....lovely job for your nephews! I will use this method from now on. Thank you!
All really great ideas!! And I understand, totally, your obsession with office/school supplies!! Have had the same one since I first started school, and I won't tell you how old I am now. Agree with all your other followers -- you're an awesome auntie!
Amber you knocked it out of the park with this one. I think it would be a great alternative to the "Fun Activity Packs" too. Thanks so much for your continued inspiration and example. God bless you and your family.
Thanks! Great instructions. It worked beautifully! The only thing I did differently was to fold and glue down the top and bottom flaps first before folding and gluing down the larger side flap for a cleaner edge. When using patterned paper, it looks nicer. The only problem is ... my family members loved mine so much, now they want me to make one for them, too! So, I guess I better buy some more composition notebooks. LOL.
What a wonderful idea. I do not have kids either and enjoy spoiling my nieces and nephews as well, only i have about 12 lol. And a niece that is like a daughter so she gets spoiled a bit more than the others. I also collect school supplies, my obsession is with spiral notebooks lol. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas you share and the time you take to post all your videos! I enjoy them all!!
You know what is better then that label maker? An assistant! No joke! They work great! It’s true! But your way is a lot CHEAPER!!! 💜You are the best!🙋♀️✌️🙏👍💜♥️🌹
Thank you, Amber, this method is so much easier than the previous one. Last fall when making these, I struggled having the edges look neat and ended up stressing about and doctoring them. This will finish off my collection of notebooks very easily! Always love your ideas. Tfs!
Hi, Amber! I love your new technique. I had been wanting to cover some more comp. notebooks but was dreading it because I couldn't figure out an easier way to do it. But as always, you came up with a new technique. Thanks so much for sharing. Love your creativity.
Love this idea. My nieces and nephew are in their 20's now but it's a cute project to do and give when your giving them the Christmas or Birthday gift card. And very glad to know that I'm not the only one who likes office supplies.
This is great!!!!!! I hope she loves it....I am amazed at how you ended up with exactly the right # of pages!! I have to try this! Thankyou!!!!! xoxo-Julie
I like this simpler way to make these than what I made many years ago with the mini composition booklets. I think I will make a few new journals for myself.

I love this idea, I want to try it. I wish I could find the clear pockets. Every time I go to Target, they never have them. Thank you for this neat tutorial.🙂💞
Great video! I think I will fold the short ends in first on the inside covers so the upside-down design of the paper gets covered up. I’m just picky like that...😜. Thanks for another great crafting video!
Your creativity is so inspiring!! Thank you so much for sharing the fabulous new way to cover composition books AND for sharing your love for your nephews.
Very cute paper pad for boys. I like those pages. Lucky it seems you never have an issue w/your ATG gun -I have a love/hate relat w/mine. Good to know it works well w/this type of project 💜 🐰.
I have a stash of Comp. notebooks and every once in awhile I get some out and make covers and pretty things on the inside... Then they go back on my bookcase. Just a fun simple way to relax something different. Can’t got wrong for .50 cents

I love these! I have two grandsons 3 and 6 years old. They will love these!
I have watched a ton of videos on making these books. This is the far the best way. And the fastest I think. Thank you for making this video.
Amber, I'm binge watching you.🙂 I remember these! I have a thing for school supplies also! So wierd, I'm 72 now, but STILL buy them (in excess)! I get REAL excited when they start coming out🤔😋!?!?

Amber-what a cute idea to make for your nephews. They will love them.
Your tutorials have been the most understandable and easy to follow. I am just a beginner and wanted to say thanks!!
I share your obsession for office supplies, and like you, I have had it since I was a child. Some kids played school, I played office!!!
Thank you, Amber, this method is so much easier than the previous one. Last fall when making these, I struggled having the edges look neat and ended up stressing about and doctoring them. This will finish off my collection of notebooks very easily! Always love your ideas. Tfs!
Amber. You are such a good and sweet aunt to those boys. This is such a neat idea. Have a great weekend and be safe. Cindy/Carrollton

Super cute idea great for the teens to journal and spend quality time with God.
You are a sweetheart, Amber, your nephews will love their journals and special boxes!! Xo

What fun! I too have the school, office supply addiction!
I have always loved paper supplies. It's what I spent my allowance on, while my brothers and sisters bought yoyos!!! (that was a while ago, lol)
Oh my these are perfect! Going to make some summer journals for grandkid and neighbor kids.. I think may decorate a few for myself too. I totally get what u mean about office supplies.. I luv my lil notebooks and can never get enough..ty for always showing us fu stuff to do💜
These are great! I am also obsessed with school & office supplies even before I was a teacher. I have drawers full.
I just love this and you’re such an awesome aunt!!!
I love the idea! I would fold the larger piece in after the top and bottom. It’s covered with a pocket and it would a smoother bottom I think.
Doreen Shea lol I thought the same thing until I realized that the ends protect the main part from curling and tearing from use 🤔😂
My cuts were too crooked and I needed to hide the jagged paper. 😊
I wondered about that myself. I don’t make straight cuts either though so I get it lol
Your creativity is so inspiring!! Thank you so much for sharing the fabulous new way to cover composition books AND for sharing your love for your nephews.
Thanks for the tutorial!
Very cute! Thank you for sharing. PS the lined cards remind me of sentence strips that we used for pocket charts when teaching.
School supplies were always my problem also😊 I used them for Christmas shoeboxes! Cute project!
Such a wonderful idea! And i understand your obsession with crayons, pencils, etc., because I'm the same way! Hugs from Ireland.
I love these!!!!! You're the best at this Amber.
Love the books great idea!
Such a great gift!!! I want you to make me one. I too have an obsession with school and office supplies!
Best aunt ever!!!
These are awesome Amber! Really love the pockets on the covers!💕 These would make great Easter baskets fillers too! Tfs!😊
I would melt if someone made these for my kids. Although I guess I get do it myself. So beautiful regardless
I am so obsessed with making journals this way!
Very cute paper pad for boys. I like those pages. Lucky it seems you never have an issue w/your ATG gun -I have a love/hate relat w/mine. Good to know it works well w/this type of project 💜 🐰.

Your timing is perfect. I was planning to alter a composition notebook for a new prayer journal. Love this easy method.
Love it! I might do some for my grandkids. Thanks so much for sharing! (I think you mean “foolproof,” though. 😉)
What an adorable idea!
