I know he’s been in the league for a few years now but I still think MPJ is kinda struggling to accept his role on the team. Think about it he was one of the top guys coming out of both high school and college so he kinda came in prolly thinking he’d be like a number 1 or 2 option but because of injuries and because jokic and Murray has flourished so much he’s found himself being a third option sometimes even a 4th option when Gordon has it going. So I think he’s struggling to come to terms with the fact that he went from being a big time scorer to more of a complimentary piece to a team

While you're right bout everything u wrote. There needs to be a maturity from him or guidance from vets to let him there are 2 guys here we go to. Yes he signed a max extension but that was more of hype and no one else will come to Denver. Even tho he came into the league as top prospect he fell down in the draft due to his injury and it keeps flaring up so it could be chronic. Bball is a two way sport so he needs to be effective on both sides if he's a 3rd or 4th option. With the new cba starting next season if he doesn't improve on both sides then idk who will sign him.

Headcases in the NBA are the hardest to come to the realization that they have to change....especially shooters. Once you become one, it's more difficult to overcome than a physical injury...ask Metta World Peace. Ask Ja Morant in a few months...or years.

On some nights, he’s given the green light offensively. But Malone is going to the well with a back to back MVP and his second best player. It’s working well for them, no changes needed with the gameplan. However if Porter does continue to struggle, I can see them start Bruce Brown in his place

I think this point is overlooked a great deal in the playoffs as we've seen many perimeter shooters go cold because they're expending more energy then they're used to on the defensive end. Meanwhile, the experts say they're in a 'rut' or a 'slump' when in fact they might be sacrificing their own scoring for the betterment of the team. The difference is that Porter isn't always giving that max effort to justify his mins and thus a younger guy like Braun can steal the opportunity and his minutes.

In very few words, MPJ is just soft. The tape shows me that and I’ve found myself, though not a Denver fan, screaming at the TV particularly during the Lakers series because he was just “THERE”. No vigor, enthusiasm, tenacity, toughness or willingness to do anything aside from score. Offensively he’s soft. He lingers around the perimeter and while he’s a solid shooter when in rhythm, he settles far too much. With his height, length and athleticism, there’s no reason whatsoever that he can’t be a dynamic two way player. Maybe the back injuries haunt him mentally and he’s trying to stretch out his career for as long as he can, so he goes half speed, but it’s inexcusable. If he rounded into his full potential, I’d say Denver are series threats to become the next dynasty, but it’ll hinge on him and whether Denver continues to stick with him.
He’s too good of a player to be disengaged at key times and too valuable to just be “Out There” hooping.

People expect too much from MPJ... Acting like the dude is supposed to be Brandon Ingram out there or someone with that type of potential. He's not that dude. He doesn't really have a strong offensive game outside his ability to catch and shoot relatively quickly with good enough accuracy. But if he goes cold from outside, like he has in this series, and often times tends to do for stretches during the year, he doesn't really have the tools to impact the offense in other ways. He doesn't have the on-ball creation tools, either for himself or anyone else, and he's not like Aaron Gordon, someone that can use their physicality and athleticism off ball to get in good positions around the basket and finish strong. MPJ is too weak and stiff-footed for that.
I think defensively he's much improved right now compared to what he was just a few years ago. A few seasons ago he was legit unplayable defensively, now he at least looks like he knows what to do most of the times to the point he doesn't get exposed as often.
Ultimately, i think the Nuggets realize what he is and are using him correctly. He's just not hitting his shots right now, but those shots are going to be the best shots the Nuggets offense can generate for him without compromising their primary offensive plan of playing through Jokic and Murray... It's like when JR Smith played with LeBron and Kyrie... When his shooting was cold... There wasn't much you can do to adjust... What were you gonna do, get the ball away from Bron and Kyrie and run some different sets for JR Smith? Seriously? Nah, just stand there on the 3pt line and be ready to shoot the same shots next game, and hopefully do better...

Since 2016 people has been saying Draymond should work in his jumpshot , and his offensive package , but he is a great player but very stubborn one, he hasnt or if he does nobody could know because he doesnt even looks at the rim , he is dead set in proving he can be a hall of famer without scoring, putting a lot of pressure on steph , when klay is off , that thing gets ugly quickly , teams playing 5 vs 4 or even 5 vs 3 if loon is on the court,, not amount of movement can work if 1 or 2 players are ignored and these dont take advantage..i did think after losing against memphis in the playing in with that awful last play where he looked that bad he could comeback better ,, NOP he is Draymond, he knows best , you would think after the celtics finals where he didnt look good at all in several of those games he could work in his game, NOP , he went to the trainning camp and beat the shit of poole trashing the team's chemistry( didnt received any punishment, the team as enabler of him gets what they allowed him to do), and this is after clashing with durant ( them blaming the team for the tension after the incident because they suspended him) , and costing the 2016 title.. Now he is blaming the youngsters of poor performance( they barely played in the playoffs) ,when he is not a 2 way player , maybe 1 1/4 way player , . what i'm saying , he still active , yes he can comment in whatever topic he wants , but after that atrocious series against the lakers , when he looked happier for lebron that bad for his team is a bad look you calling any player out even if his right..

Guess it does make sense cuz Gordon had the under but then the corner is open and Gordon is pinned under 🤔 so Gordon flares to corner and Jokic drops? 🤔...fml...so much to learn. 😔
