Excellent. Had to push a mountain bike up and transferring jagged rocks many times in the northern mountains of Utah. The burn is the same and the scenery doesn’t change. I’d do it again.

Wow, was ein Abenteuer ..., auch echt tapfer Ihr zwei! Und grandiose Aufnahmen und Kameraeinstellungen!! Und sooo süße Ferkel, auch das Pferd :) und Kauka, und die Kamerafliege :)! Nur, für was sind diese vielen Türme in den Dörfern!?? Ich grüße Euch, Rich
Danke dir...Kauka war eine brave Hündin. Wir hatten sie noch gefüttert, dennoch wurde sie nicht aufdringlich..hätten wir am liebsten mitgenommen. Später erfuhren wir von anderen Reisenden, die dieselbe Hündin am Pass trafen..anscheinend geht's ihr da oben gut =D. Die Türme aus dem 10. Jahrhundert dienten wohl früher als Wach- und Schutztürme gegen feindliche Sippen, aber auch als Zufluchtsort bei Lawinengefahr bzw Schneeverschüttungen, dann ragte das obere Geschoss aus der Schneedecke...wegen der Türme gehört Ushguli sogar zum UNESCO Weltkulturerbe. Gruß zurück =)
