Pro tip. To keep mud and weeds out of your kayak flip your kayak paddle around with the concave blade facing forward so it dosen't act like a giant spoon. Helps a bunch.

I hate constantly getting snagged and losing lure after lure. 😭😭😭
Very relatable video! One of mine is when I'm on the kayak and accidentally bump a low hanging tree and these long spiders will fall out of the leaves onto you and into the kayak.
These are the reason I found the channel. Don't get me wrong I love the other content but these make me laugh sooo hard.
The same thing happened to me except with my tackle box I left my tackle box with 300$ of tackle at the spot I was fishing and never found it again.
I’ve got to say that I think you should have so many more subscribers than you currently have. Your videos are so much more relatable to the average person than all of the high tech, pro equipment and unreachable standards other over the top UA-camrs portray. I’ve lost two lures in a row. Each one took me four hours to make. So, I lost 8 hours of my life in five minutes time. The lures were beautiful too!

I've had days where I've snagged and broken off several times in a row, back to back. That tells me it's time to pack it up and go home.

Using two rigs in canoe
At in pond. Went to cast and snagged the Zebco
and overboard it went in
Middle of pond. Tried remember location and dragged for it couple days
with no luck. About eight months later same pond had
almost dried up except for two deep ends like peanut shaped. From the bank saw
Rod tip sticking up and looked close with binoculars.
Yes, rod tip. I waded thru
Mud like quicksand out to it
Only about 4 foot of water
and pulled up my rod and reel
Muddy but in New Condition except for one speck of rust
On the handle. Washed it out
And began using it again.
The Mud and Muck with
Low oxygen had protected it.
Hooks were rusted off lure.
Rapala still useable with new hooks.

Going on a fishing trip with brother-in-law's who try to relate with u by saying they love fishing... Only to find out they have no rod reel or tackle & end up going through all of yours!
I've left my pole twice and some one stole both of them and a tackle box. And the rod breaking one happens to much as well.
I love this series. I’m somewhat new to kayaking too and I have one particular pet peeve. Have you hooked your sleeve to a lure (from a rod in a rear rod holder) on the yak yet?
bro as a kayak angler, i understand losing baits on the backcast. lost so many swimbaits, jerkbaits, jigs, rod tips cause my dumbass didn't look behind me while I was casting...so now I just side cast instead
I left my rod too at the spot because I lost track loading the kayak! I went right back and was more fortunate thankfully

Split rings are my biggest pet peeve in fishing especially difficult at night.

Easy. People that throw trash on the ground or in the water. People that drive their boats over your line. People that park their boats too close to where you're fishing. If I can cast into their boat, they're too close.
