I've never heard Corona with so much distortion, and I love it. It bums me out so much thinking about all the great musical possibilities that died with D. He (and they) were brilliant.
What an incalculably tragic loss it is that D. Boon was taken from us -- he was such an incredibly gifted songwriter and performer!!
Seriously one of my favorite live records, ripped it off from archive to a cd and i blast that shit all the time. This version of Corona and felt like a gringo are my favorite recordings. Fucking love the minutemen
This is great. Thank you. I've loved Minutemen since I was a teen back in the early 80s. Saw them play at the The Stone in SF 1985.
this needs more likes and views. its a thing o beauty. i means listen to thems chops.
Really am enjoying this set. Thank you.
This could be the best goddamn live set in history

@@MISCchout Hey, thank you for uploading these! I saw that you made a comment 12 years ago on your REM channel that you had Minutemen's last set in "December 13 1985 - Park Center, Charlotte, NC". If you could post that, it would be greatly appreciated! A fantastic piece of musical history. I know that Mike Watt said his last performance before D. Boon passed away was with REM where Mike played guitar with George Hurley & D. Boon playing "See No Evil" which I can't find either.

1:19:52 The Glory of Man
That picture is from Halloween 1985. I was at the Gray stone ballroom In Detroit for the show. Watt wore a mask through the whole thing also, kind of a drowned sea captain.Hurley had his foot long fore lock coming out of the head of a zombie mask. D. Had a kind of store-bought cartoon superhero costume, at the time I thought it was rubber man
Now that I think of it , Watt could have been the "Ancient Mariner" who kilt the albatross
Looks like D.'s wearing a Beast Man costume with a Mer-Man mask. Both from He-Man
Was wondering why some of these tracks sounded so familiar, then I realised they're the ones from ballot result...
No This Ain't No Picnic.. oh well, can't have everYthing lol
Any chance here or over the web for the highest quality? This is my favorite live performance
This concert is on Internet archive, idk if the quality is increased or not but it probably is
Excellent
Epic version of Corona - thanks for posting!
