I just cannot understand why they do not pick up the various old comic stories and turn their scripts into (hopefully much better) Predator movies in the future.
The worse movie of Predator ever, Shane Black can't be a director of predator movies again. Is sad that a character like the Predator, that has potential for a new good story to end in movie like Marvel "style", to get any sucess with a new generation public. I miss the quality of Predator 1 and 2.

I first watched Predator when I was 9. I loved it and since then I probably watched it 100 times. Unfortunately, Hollywood has not made a Predator movie as good as the original 1987 film since. The Predator was pure garbage. Shane Black for me is now Shame Black. He should be ashamed of himself. RIP Predator franchise.

i thought of that idea as well and actually it could have worked if the suite wasnt such a cheap terrible copycat of an Iron Man suite....and it should have been added some explanation or hints to that theory......like i said many times before....the movie sure had alooooot of potentian even with that plot but it's so pitiful executed and with so many plotholes ....it's embarrassing

I think the reason the fugitive attacked the lab workers was because they captured and we're poking and prodding. If I were coming to help and they tied me down and we're doing all the things they did to him I'd be pretty pissed too. It's also possible he wasn't bringing it to the humans exactly. But he figured if any species could use it effectively it'd be the humans. I'm assuming the deal with the humans went sideways and he wasn't happy with how he was treated.
The Predator character is NOT meant to be silly. This movie is silly, the plot is silly. The only reason why “Predator” has silliness surrounded in its name is because of the silly aura created by HUMAN characters, not Predator.
So, it’s goofy as hell and like you said, entertaining for what it is. Do I put it on at night to fall asleep to? Yes. The predator killer suit was...well, stupid. However, would I want my own goofy, off balance predator dog? Yes. However, I wish they had been intense bad ass killing machines, and not easily killed or made to be docile. BUT AGAIN, if I could have my own, I’d absolutely have a predator dog.
The Predator 2018 was great but made me sad that the Ultimate Predator done that to the other Predator, because it was an unfair fight though Predators will always be awesome

go watch in the theatre...it's really fun. dont refere to the franchise and any other Predator movie....just watch it with a big bag of Popcorn and get entertained for 2 hours....then you will enjoy it but NEVER EVER think of the franchise and the Lore

They shouldn't have made a huge predator. They should have made a regular predator vs regular predator, but made it a 3 way fight between the humans vs predator vs predator. The last part of the armor was really dumb.
After seeing it again I liked it abit more. Here’s how I interpreted why the fugitive done what he done. The fugitive for whatever reason was betraying them because he didn’t want them to take over earth so he took that predator killer to deliver it to the humans. Unfortunately for him his ship crashed and he had to inject out in a pod. The ship obviously contained the predator killer of which he wanted to give to us. When in the forest he was met by deadly force (McKenna’s guy) then he obviously killed him and then killed McKenna’s other guy and tried to kill him. Obviously he was taken by scientists to have experiments done on him and it’s no surprise he wasn’t up for it... so he fucked them up as he should have and went off to look for McKenna to get the tracking for the predator killer device before the ultimate finds it and destroys it so he could give it to humans in a more peacefully matter. As for the predator dog, the bullet gave it brain damage or messed with some wires in his head of which made him favour humans

Predator, as a franchise, is about a suspenseful hunt between human and alien, it’s not a sci-fi epic about interplanetary wars and so on. The movie was doomed to failure as soon as they decided upon such an outlandish idea. Predator is basically a slasher movie with an alien in it that is what makes it work and why we love it. Putting in too much stuff that doesn’t belong there is a bad idea.

Making a new bigger predator that easily dispatch is the original kind of devalues in ruins the accomplishments of characters like Dutch that managed to defeat it. If the original was such a wimp, what does that say for other heroes? It already was the ultimate predator since the first film, no need to make a bigger better one.
Definitely had it's moments. But... in the end, it was a "Fun" movie... PREDATOR was not a "fun" movie. It was FUCKING AWESOME! How could someone from the original film, get it so wrong? I don't think he's a "fan" of the franchise, and he was looking at it with hopes of Arnold coming back, but since that wasn't a go, he went with a "super hero" vibe for the ending thinking "fans" would like it... and some did. Just not OG PredHed's. I was wrecked when I saw that fucking thing. Really... an Iron Man suit, with crazy lasers and casters all over it, plus a Predator looking helmet and dreads to boot??? THE FUCK WAS THAT BS!!!! 6.25/10... simply because it did have some really great action sequences and character moments.
Predator 1 and predator 2 will always be the best im going to see the movie tomorrow im just going to enjoy it as a popcorn movie and treat as nothing more. I can see why arnold Schwarzenegger turned it down lol.

i was actually thinking about it to be honest.....but there are soooooo many reviews out there already that it would be pointless. I still hold on to my opinion but i dont see it that negative anymore because i just have to accept that my beloved franchise will not be continued in the way i wished for and this is something else....and as a standalone flick it's cool and i'm gonna rewatch it again
Sigh. Really disappointing to hear. I cannot see it this weekend but am planning to catch it during the week. Nothing I'm reading or hearing suggests that this is any good. So disappointed, moreso considering I had high expectations with Shane Black's involvement
I liked the idea of Shane Black involved also, I like his other movies. But let’s be honest, he basically makes the same type of film all the time, and does a good job at that. But that’s not what we need for predator it’s the wrong tone with the wrong elements. A buddy action flick with lots of comedic dialogue? Get Shane Black immediately. Suspenseful, serious horror Sci-Fi thriller? Nah.

I agree but didn't like that the fugitive pred just started taking out the military guys at the beginning 100% sure it could have just blown the ship and snuck past them I understand him killing the ones that captured him cuz...well why heh at least he had a reason to.... and then he just gets taken out....didn't like that at all.
The super predator was 💩 more cgi the supermans moustache, the story was and not much fight scenes and a kid what can read the understand the language and technology. The new predator suit yeah looked ok but it's not great. It had more comedy then fight scenes, If you like avp-R then you will like this film.
They took the predator franchise put it in a bucket added water and then mixed in marvel , dc and transformers and mixed it up poured this tub of blah onto the screen is what it felt like to me it was a fun movie and if it wasn’t for that ending it would been a fair film but with that ending they destroyed everything we love about this franchise did they not see or understand how the first film was so good or something i just do not get it man🤦🏼♂️

Before I went to c it, I would read some of the comments people would leave, though I still went to c it n all, i thought it was decent.. Yea they could've done better.. I still enjoyed it though Shane Black better pay attention to the the thousands if not hundred thousands fans Negative reviews n heads back to the drawing board n not screw thus up again..
Love predator and love watching your channel. My views on reading between the lines, I kinda feel like the fugitive pred was trying to give the humans the tech but because we captured it. It kinda went into survival mode and had to defend itself and against the incoming assassin. As for the friendly dog I think they had to cut out a scene to explain what happened, I think the dog that befriends the boy at the football stadium turns into the friendly pred dog. I think the end pred suit isn't designed for against other predators but against aliens. I think the end game will be pred and humans vs aliens. What does everyone think??

I personally liked the movie, the story was weird but not bad and the ending was meh but the action just erased all of that for me at least.

I give it a five out of ten and I’m being generous. The Predator franchise is going to have a hard time recovering from this one.

...i can see where the possible sequel may go....very Marvelish and Comic like....which is okey i guess for all the peeps who lokve this kind of movie but it's a huuuuuge downfall for the franchise and the oldschool fans
Your assessment of it is kind of what I expected it to be, once I saw the giant Predator in the trailers I completely lost interest in seeing it.
Making a new bigger predator that easily dispatch is the original kind of devalues in ruins the accomplishments of characters like Dutch that managed to defeat it. If the original was such a wimp, what does that say for other heroes? It already was the ultimate predator since the first film, no need to make a bigger better one.

Definitely had it's moments. But... in the end, it was a "Fun" movie... PREDATOR was not a "fun" movie. It was FUCKING AWESOME! How could someone from the original film, get it so wrong? I don't think he's a "fan" of the franchise, and he was looking at it with hopes of Arnold coming back, but since that wasn't a go, he went with a "super hero" vibe for the ending thinking "fans" would like it... and some did. Just not OG PredHed's. I was wrecked when I saw that fucking thing. Really... an Iron Man suit, with crazy lasers and casters all over it, plus a Predator looking helmet and dreads to boot??? THE FUCK WAS THAT BS!!!! 6.25/10... simply because it did have some really great action sequences and character moments.
Predator 1 and predator 2 will always be the best im going to see the movie tomorrow im just going to enjoy it as a popcorn movie and treat as nothing more. I can see why arnold Schwarzenegger turned it down lol.

i was actually thinking about it to be honest.....but there are soooooo many reviews out there already that it would be pointless. I still hold on to my opinion but i dont see it that negative anymore because i just have to accept that my beloved franchise will not be continued in the way i wished for and this is something else....and as a standalone flick it's cool and i'm gonna rewatch it again

Sigh. Really disappointing to hear. I cannot see it this weekend but am planning to catch it during the week. Nothing I'm reading or hearing suggests that this is any good. So disappointed, moreso considering I had high expectations with Shane Black's involvement
I liked the idea of Shane Black involved also, I like his other movies. But let’s be honest, he basically makes the same type of film all the time, and does a good job at that. But that’s not what we need for predator it’s the wrong tone with the wrong elements. A buddy action flick with lots of comedic dialogue? Get Shane Black immediately. Suspenseful, serious horror Sci-Fi thriller? Nah.
For 1 theng Sir U have a point and I do agree with U and I still do say that it is a great movie when I watched it for and on my me Birthday that way I did for her and U R totally right and all that the dogs most of all 1 gets killed with gun shots and the other 1 shot on the head and tennis doesn't die it becomes human friendly and the stolen suit yes the stolen suit it does looks like the Iron Man suit because how it just attaches to a human being like the Iron Man suit does and the only thing that does still looks like the Predator is the mask it has only and yet like I said totally do agree with U Sir that it doesn't make sense and but yet still as for me I give it second best Rank in my opinion, oh and another thing U should check out Wat I did say about your collection of your Predator collection Sir.

I agree but didn't like that the fugitive pred just started taking out the military guys at the beginning 100% sure it could have just blown the ship and snuck past them I understand him killing the ones that captured him cuz...well why heh at least he had a reason to.... and then he just gets taken out....didn't like that at all.

Neny, this movie was a pile of trash IMO. To say it was a B-grade movie would be a compliment.
The super predator was 💩 more cgi the supermans moustache, the story was and not much fight scenes and a kid what can read the understand the language and technology. The new predator suit yeah looked ok but it's not great. It had more comedy then fight scenes, If you like avp-R then you will like this film.
So, it's a Shame Black movie....

They took the predator franchise put it in a bucket added water and then mixed in marvel , dc and transformers and mixed it up poured this tub of blah onto the screen is what it felt like to me it was a fun movie and if it wasn’t for that ending it would been a fair film but with that ending they destroyed everything we love about this franchise did they not see or understand how the first film was so good or something i just do not get it man🤦🏼♂️

Sounds like a bag of shit lol, there are only two great pred films 1 and 2 although I know many are not fond of 2 but liked the city hinting element, oh and it had the real pred kevin peter hall, forget the rest there the best, and I won't even mention aliens vs pred!!! Before I went to c it, I would read some of the comments people would leave, though I still went to c it n all, i thought it was decent.. Yea they could've done better.. I still enjoyed it though Shane Black better pay attention to the the thousands if not hundred thousands fans Negative reviews n heads back to the drawing board n not screw thus up again..

Love predator and love watching your channel. My views on reading between the lines, I kinda feel like the fugitive pred was trying to give the humans the tech but because we captured it. It kinda went into survival mode and had to defend itself and against the incoming assassin. As for the friendly dog I think they had to cut out a scene to explain what happened, I think the dog that befriends the boy at the football stadium turns into the friendly pred dog. I think the end pred suit isn't designed for against other predators but against aliens. I think the end game will be pred and humans vs aliens. What does everyone think??
