Halsey smiles with Evan now. She really loved him for a very long time. Both of them ended up their toxic relationship and they weren't the most toxic ones too. As much as I know, Evan is loyal guy and it was Emma who started to date other people after few weeks of their breakups (maybe she even cheated and went public with this dudes after breakups. Who knows). I loved Evan & Emma together but it feels like Halsey and Evan survived in last relationships to be happy together. Some relationships are just for our psychological grow

If anything, he WILL be putting max effort into your relationship, bcoz he values you enough, to say you're better than him. If he truly means that you're too good for him-he will do his best to match you.
