This piece is very easy to play and sounds pretty good. I learnt and memorised it within 30 minutes. The rest of the time practicing was just trying to refine parts. Much of which is lost in this video as I recorded it in one take. I actually recorded this as part of a different video, but due to the its length (even skipping some repeats) and the fact it turned out alright I figured I'd upload as its own video.
After playing gymnopedie, i know how hard it can be to play a repetitive piece without being boring. It's a long one, and only 4 weeks, it sounds really nice, good work !
This piece sounds and looks very natural for you. It’s not easy being able to focus on a slow repetitive piece and make it sound like you are really into it and communicate this in your performance. You have accomplished all of the above👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Good job of making a repetitive piece sound interesting all the way through. I could happily put this on repeat for an hour or so while reading a book or something -- well done!
This is really good Daniel. Easily your best video to date. Great dynamics. I’d actually drop the tempo a smidge for dramatic effect I think. You’ve gone a great job in keeping time in a repetitive piece… something I find quite hard.
Interesting. This is the easiest piece I’ve played in at least 18 months. Probably longer. Can’t really drop the tempo. I have other things to do with my life. This version even skips one or maybe two repeats and it’s still over 4 minutes!
@@DavidConnors I agree. That’s what’s interesting. Why is it that most beginner pieces sound less appealing when there is simpler music that sounds better? Is it just tradition?
@@DanielLearnsPiano I don’t know. I find all pieces traditionally used to teach piano to be terrible which is why I don’t play them. Except for my Trinity pieces and boy o boy are they are slog to get through.

Sounds very good... my daughter played this in a school recital.. easy to learn and very pleasant.

Thanks. I did have to skip at least one repeat though. This piece really does just go on and on.
Love this one! Makes me want to pull it out again and play it.
Wow, amazing job!! I'm definitely learning this one next
It’s dead simple but sound decent.
@@DanielLearnsPiano you did a lovely job with the dynamics and interpretation!
Absolutely wonderfoul music 🎹🎶

@@DanielLearnsPiano Pieces don’t have to be complicated to be enjoyable to listen to.
