This should be *required watching* when anybody enters the work force. Some of this I have known but never really acknowledged - much to my detriment! It needs to be heard, understood and practiced!

The audiowave file constantly moving at the bottom of the screen is SUPER distracting.

If you are watching on a *_computer,_* you can try the following cheesy workaround - 1) Put the video in "Theatre Mode", 2) Put your browser in between _Maximized_ and _Minimized,_ this will allow you to *resize* your browser *_and MOVE your browser._* 3) Move your browser down so the animated audiowave file is hidden below the frame of your computer screen.

Also, if they are not showing any charts or graphics, just go onto a different screen altogether. :-)

So, I’ve been listening to you guys for awhile now. Since 2016 or 2017. I’m out of debt. I got a better job, I have a 401k plan with fidelity from work. They match 6% and put in 16%. I’m 35 and I live in Portland, OR. I am will be getting a Roth IRA with fidelity. But I don’t know what or where to invest my money into. JL Collins is great but it’s so hard to understand. Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for helping me get out debt and I have excellent credit now.

Opening a bank account is a crucial first step to financial success. It's like planting the seed for your money tree. 💰💼 Over the years, I've found that having multiple accounts for different financial goals, whether it's a high-yield savings account, a brokerage account for investments, or a business account, has been key to growing my wealth.I wasn't financially free until my 30s, and I'm still in my 30s. I've bought my second house, earn on a monthly basis through passive income, and achieved 4 out of 5 goals. Investments are a wise decision I made.

But how does compound interest work in investing, except dividends? Doesn't it make sense to occasionally realise profits and reinvest? As the profits will then be made on the increased capital, rather than the original investment amount?

I buy SPY. When my profit for the day is high, I cash out. Wait for the price to dip lower then I bought it and buy back in this will put money back in and increase my shares amount over time

I like the compounding effect in my Peer 2 Peer investing, the principle and interest is paid back monthly and then put into a new investment in the account each month.

Thanks for the episode. As someone who has (perhaps mistakenly) thrust all of my savings into retirement targeted investments, what would have been a good "different buckets" strategy to also help save for vacations, big purchases, and perhaps capital to start a business?
