Hi Mrs Bernard, I do sincerely hope you will please, accept my comments without being offended..... I have previously commented on the enjoyment you and your family give. I resisted comment the other day after watching, hoping that others, perhaps your country folk would see.
The power drive shaft for the silo auger,,,, maybe a simple guard should/could be installed, or my apologies if it was temporally removed I comment with the unfortunate experience of my Grandfather having an accident with a similar piece of equipment which left him disabled, loose clothing became entangled and only the quick thinking of my Grandmother plus her knowledge of farm equipment saved his life. I was five years old at the time but now sixty seven years later I have vivid recollection of the events of that day. Farming life is hard and at times unforgiving. My very best wishes to you all from Edinburgh Scotland UK please stay safe.
Nice thing about old equipment is that it’s paid off. Keep Gerdy running as long as possible. It will keep ROI high
So glad Lawrence is getting better I'm in the hospital with possible heart failure 😪 waiting for test results to find out for sure appreciate all the prayers from all of you to know exactly what's going on. Love watching your channel. God bless both of you.
My prayers dear Brenda 🙏🙏
Praying for you to be healed, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Get better soon… The Lord give you a new heart♥️
Praying for you!
Well Brenda I hope you get better. Heart diseases serious. God bless you.
The farmer has no quit in him, The farmers and truckers are the most powerful people in the U S A, think about it, thanks you guys
Your welcome sam parks, been a farmer/truck driver all my life. Have and great day my friend
@John leaving on SSI since retired driving truck almost all states ...lol i'm 56
I watch some farmers with all this fancy and big equipment.and you guys have the simple things, and yet you get the crops in. You guys are hard working, all you farmers. God Bless the farmers, big and small. You all have a place in God's world.
i say the feed and hay system you have is working very well, all the cows and calves look very fat and healthy and are a premium herd.
Hi Mere bear!!! Winner winner retried bean dip dinner! Yummy!!!
You are the absolute best one woman cheerleader any family could ask for!!!
Your beautiful positive attitude is always a joy to watch. It’s no wonder why we your viewers love you so much.
Good to see Lefty feeling better. Lol!
Take care and stay safe!
Meredith, you're smiling face is what keeps us waiting for your next video. Being a farming/ranching family ourselves, it's hard to make a smile when it seems everyone you have to purchase equipment parts, fertilizer and seed all seem to be making money and because of price controls on commodities the farmer's are skimping by.
Sad to say we farmers are always price takers.
@@wendyrowland7787 There are too many out here that cut throat us everytime we try banding together to get paid what we're worth that we will never accomplish being paid close to what we are worth. We hang on hoping and because we love this life until the banks foreclose on us and corporate America owns our farms.
@@fisherus I know, I am a retired British farmer. Subsidies meant to help farmers, only work in favour of the buyers because they set the price so that the farmer can just hang on treading water. As you know farmers keep going doing the job they love and they are amongst the most hard working members of the community.
Location location location, The joke around here is golf courses use to be full of doctors and lawyers now its farmers.
@@iffykidmn8170 The only time this happens is when a farm is located where developers want it and pay a good price to the owner of the farm.
Meredith your an amazing woman. You wear so many different hats in your family.I am so happy your family is coming.Have a great time with your family.Glad Lawrence arm,and hand is feeling better. So love your family, and all that your family stands for.God Bless you, your family and your awesome farm life.
Really have to appreciate how Lawrence, who is painfully injured, still puts his pains aside and keeps his farm work going. Toughness and grit is what it takes to make a difference between a farm surviving to keep your family fed or losing it.
He’s tough for sure!
@@ThisFarmWife_ Lawrence is a role model and an inspiration to anyone that wants to become a farmer. He has my utmost respect. Have a blessed and safe week. I'm praying for Lawrence's arm to be healed, in Jesus' name. Amen.
@@williammatthews2948 bad part about it, and I know this for a fact, as I am just like him, when you get older, like I am, all that pain you went through resurfaces and you feel every one every morning every day of your life!
@@fisherus I'm in the same boat. I feel all that pain with every step I take. It's relentless.
Real Americans hard at work. FARMERS, THE BACKBONE OF AMERICA! 😎👍
Glad y'all got the beans done.
Well I hope the farmer got done.....
You have to admire a man like LB, tough as nail's. Farmers are a tough breed, "QUIT" is not in their vocabulary..God Bless you Lawrence!
Enjoyed your video! Mr. Lawrence is a hard working man. Thank GOD everyday for our farmers. GOD Bless!!
Nothing like getting together with family. Which is something we all take for granted sometimes. 🙏🏻😇👍🏻. Thanks
Yes thank the farmers, enjoy your political stable coutry! It is a nightmare in south africa!
Another fun day on the farm one day
Is never the same as the next
Love watching old Gerdie work and the farm becoming self sufficient. Also great ending with family getting together .
So good to hear Lawrence's hand swelling has gone down. Once hand blood circulation improves he'll be a new man.
Bless his heart... and still no stopping him... can't keep a good man down!
I hope you show us more of your family get together. We need it merideth. In this time that we all live in. Great vidieo!
Love all of your videos Meredith! You are are doing a great job with the field work and livestock! The young-ens do a great job helping with everything! Be safe and keep smiling!
always nice to have family over for a visit , don't seem like family's get together like they did in the past . well Austin and LB both had a fall , but Austin bounced right back up no worse from it . nothing like being young and flexible!
When you farm, have cattle, do service on boards there is literally no rest except a few minutes at random times. I used to make about a 100,000 miles a year on my KW hauling the grain, usually around 1.5 million bushels of barley each year and doing all of the repair and maintenance on everything kept me extremely busy. I miss some of the experiences and the smell of freshly turned soil and fresh combining evoke some very strong memories. One thing I truly miss is the sound of frogs in late spring evenings after seeding was done. A brief rest between seeding and spraying while waiting for germination and growth. Meredith your eyes are so expressive and that nice smile make me smile as well while watching. Just plain fun to see you get it done.
Your daughter is adorable!!! Reminds me of my little girl, (who's not so little anymore, married and living in Charlotte now & her brother lives in Raleigh ;-). My baby was always down at the creek catching crawdads, playing in the pasture, riding a horse or 4 wheeler... We couldn't keep shoes or a shirt on her till she started school...(she learned it wasn't "lady like" ;-) Still can't figure out how she wound up in Charlotte of all places :-) Enjoy these years!!! They go by really quick!!!
That Lawrence & you have special friends , that's because you both are loved by millions ! Stay safe & strong , prayers ! Bob
years ago when we had our family reunion , my aunts & uncles were all farmers and every year we would have it at someone else's farm with all the cousins! We had the hay wagon for a table with all the food on it, and 3-4 milk cans with cool aid in them, and a dipper to dip it out with!! Glad you get to use the bins!! Never run anything when it's on HOT=blowed the engine! probably a leak some where-Never add cold coolant to hot engine, blowed head gasket! I noticed that there isn't a guard on the PTO shaft on the auger- grab cloths, accident - I caught the edge of a tarp with the mower, and it got sucked in, had to cut it out!! Love Mustard!
You got one tough man there in Lawrence. Most would have been laid up for weeks with that hand. Awesome job Lawrence. 👍👏👏👏

I love watching your channel because I see all the things I miss from the states, but it really hit me seeing them two large jars of ice tea. Aussie's think I'm crazy when I make ice tea.
Lots of country love from
Michael & Nolean
This was a really good video. Glad you got all your beans in. And glad you got to have all your family over. That means so much. Well we enjoyed the video. Thanks and have a good one. 👍👍👍❤️
Hi Meredith hope you and your family are doing good today.God bless you and your family today and always. I enjoy watching your UA-cam.So glad you had a blessed time with your family.
Hooray for easy fixes. And for warm sunny fall days during harvest
I enjoy watching your video, nice to watch a small family farm they are the back bone of our country. I was brought up on small dairy farm in southern Minnesota late 50's & 60's .
Meredith I truly enjoy your expose’ of a real farm, few women can understand how much needs to be done. Been there done that and after many years of family farming I decided I needed to move on to preserve my health and sanity as well as have a life of my own choice. I do appreciate your incredible effort and outlook, you’re a one in several million and you’re a real sweetheart as well as a great storyteller. Easy on the eyes and a natural beauty.
Y'all are a Beautiful Family with Hearts of Gold!
GOD Bless You
The family visit is just awesome!!! Our family and friends used to get together like that too, now there’s nobody left I wish I knew then what I know now!! Cherish those times, because things change and in a few years it could all be different. I would’ve never had dreamed that I would be about the only one left...
Both you and your husband are very inspirational. Lawrence for his hard work, self reliance, and don't-quit attitude. You, because in spite of the never ending problems you keep smiling and maintain a positive attitude. If your worst flaw is "not getting to the post office often enough," you're doing pretty good! Your daughter is a real sweetheart. Keep hugging her while she doesn't mind!
Like bean harvest. Went quite well. Harvesting beans just dusty job. Food looks yummy. Glad had good time with family.
Bonnie is just so good, she’s always there by your side! 🐶
You're faith is unwavering. I give you a lot of credit. Plus your husband is like a chatterbox lol. I love your channel God bless your family and farm
Ty for sharing.... i sure miss the farm life.
Ive never slept so good as when we had the farm.
The way Austin is going next year she will be driving dump truck,or running machinery. You guys are doing a great job at letting her learn
Get some Flexseal tape. That stuff sticks to everything! Good luck! Prayers for healing LBs hand!❤❤❤❤🐾🐾🐾
Good tune, starting @ about 4:40!
Around the midwest, we "cut beans" and 'pick' or shell corn.
So good to see family together. Miss our get togethers, time has not been good to us, but this sure made my day watching family having a wonderful evening
Meredith great to see you all getting the beans harvested with the faithful family friend helping out 👍 might have something to do with great food , sweet tea , snacks, from a very kind and thoughtful lady 🤔 thanks for sharing
Bins make you money 💰 you get to sell when you want to sell that’s awesome 👍👍
I have had beans before that were laying down so bad we could only cut them in one direction. You would make a pass then dead head back to the other end for another pass. Only way we could save them. Be sure and secure that auger cause if it moves you will have beans everywhere (don't ask me how I know this). A short piece of pipe going into the bin will prevent this. I know y'all do no till but if you can leave the fields as smooth as possible it sure makes cutting beans easier. If you have problems with rocks check into a bean "roller". Just after planting when the beans up about three inches you roll them which pushes most of the rocks down into the soil. This is done quite a lot in the mid west. The beans are flexable enough at that stage it doesn't hurt them. Hope you have a good time with family...
Well I just turned 81 on the 5th. Just want to say I truly enjoy your family working together. It takes me back to my younger years and my time on the farm. I'm sure watching y'all keeps me think young. So I thank y'all. Tell your son to keep up his guitar. I've played all my life and he will be so glad he learned someday. Stay safe. Luv y'all
I am the same age as you James and can remember on my uncles farm they didn't have beans ,but was all wheat ,barley ,and oats just after WW2 hear in England .They used a
Leand Lease big old Massey Harris tractor and and Binder and carried the sheaves to the stack or barn with a. Wagon and two big Shire horses pulling the four wheeled wagon .,
After the corn had dried in the Stooks . Happy days
So much fun to hear you talk and see real life on a farm and all the works that goes into farming thank you for sharing
It brought back memories when Lawrence had you ck the hydraulic fluid level. As I remember, my Gleaner used Type "A" automatic transmission fluid. And it's RED! And yes, lodged beans like that are hard to cut. Maybe it'll get better away from the edges where the deer haven't been working so much. Good luck! And glad you got your own storage!
Good to see you're having good weather for your beans as we are our corn and I'm really glad to know that Lawrence's hand is improving and he's able to be back working like he's used to and answer to prayer
Glad ur husband is getting better been praying for him
Hello sweetheart I have my mom watching y’all today. She’s enjoying ya too . Watching a bunch of your videos now because she says your show isn’t long enough lol 😂. She loved your rolls!. God bless thank you for the wonderful videos!
I'm amazed how you and your family keep on pushing in spite of constant equipment issues and obstacles that make farming difficult. It must be a labor of love. Hat's off to you guys. You are what makes America great!!
I enjoy watching how much you're kids are willing to get in there and help you out.god bless the hard working kids.a veteran from Virginia
Hi Meredith. I'm glad Gerdie is working well, that L.B.'s hand is getting better, and so happy that your family came for a visit. I like what you made to share with your family. It looked really yummy! Love and blessings from N.H.
Great for the Lawrence hand is getting better 👍👍👍👍. Really nice that you’re family is coming to see all of your family. Got a beautiful family.
I am so happy for you Merideth. Had tears racing down my cheeks to see you and your family together. Lawrence's hand appears functional and he is so fortunate to have a great family. Y'all be safe. Don't forget the firewood!
Today is my late Father's birthday. One of my earliest childhood memories is watching my Dad operating a combine harvester on the west coast of South Australia. It's hard, honest work.
My best wishes to your family, Meredith.
Thank you for the video from inside the cab. It brought back lots of memories of sitting in our F3 Gleaner cutting beans.
Hope you all have a great time with your family. Be safe, and God bless
Meredith a farm auction in my neck of the woods has a JD 4955 , 4555, and a 4440 , the 55’s are front wheel assist with low hours their gorgeous looking ! When I seen these tractors it’s got Lawrence and your name written all over it , LB would look good in that 4955. If I were a rich man i would bring it to you in NC , so I went and bought lottery tickets this week for you Meredith. 👋👋 Meredith 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏!!!
Takes a real farm mechanic to keep an old Gleaner like that running corn and beans.
Send a small cooler packed with a lunch and snacks along with his thermos of coffee and water in the morning with Lawrence when he's working the fields. That way he can eat when he gets hungry and you won't be pressed to get back.
Beans beans beans. 👌 What's awesome is this that the bean price keeps going up and you guys really deserve a good Bean price. My only suggestion is after the swelling goes down in Lawrence's arm he needs to get that x-ray and see if there's a fracture that they might have to do something with.they usually won't do anything until the swelling goes down anyway.
You have outdone yourself, young lady. Fantastic video! Great to see Gerty out in field earning her keep. Austin driving around in the side by side. Didn' t see Wes until the end, with the family. Sure looks like a real nice day.
It is a pleasure to see you and your family working on that farm. you make my day complete. Thanks
So glad you guys are doing good that grain bin is going to be nice Lawrence did a great job putting it up praying his arm gets healed up wish one day I can shake his hand and give you a hug 😂 or just eat some of the great food you cook 😋🤣 God bless you and your family
Always look forward to the next video. Enjoy watching farm lives.
Bless his heart.. his hand still swelled up..but glad it's on the mend... prayers and hugs!!
🤗 Good morning.
We all have flaws. 😊🤭
You folks have a blessed day. 👏☝️😊
Glad you got started on harvest... I'm watching this video 2 days later and looks like y'all were hammered with rain from Eta... In the south we say, "bless your hearts" ! I hope you don't get flooded out!
Lefty Lawrence is doing a great job with one good hand. And, as usual, you are doing great too.
Lawrence can outwork most of the lazy bums in society today, and that's a fact.
Wow! Soybean harvest with a Gleaner F2 combine brings back many fond memories for me. It was the last combine my family had and I myself got to cut many acres of beans and Milo with it before my family lost our farm back in the mid eighties. We also had 2 single axle trucks to haul it to the bin. Oh what a great ending to your video, the celebration of family getting to be together!!
Thanks for sharing, was waiting to see Ur F2 Gleaner in action. Happy 4 U w/ Ur family get together. Very pleased to see LB's arm getting better. Austin will be driving that Chevy grain truck b-4 long. Bless U all & plz farm safe.
Love your channel, I never miss a one but the last three or four have not had close captions. I am very hard of hearing and without the captions I am lost. Thank you for all the good films. I love your family.
Sure hope your family had a great time during their visit. It's a nice time of the year to travel what with the change of seasons.
Gertie was doing a Great job with those soybeans! I am glad yall got them before the rain that is coming. I finished Sat. When I finished, it reminded me of how I felt when I would finish Final Exams at NCSU. Pressure is gone, and time to Deer hunt! Thanks for sharing!
What is not to love about your family? So hard working and dealing with the setbacks. Real American to the core.
As always thanks for sharing. that Ham and Cheese.... yup, good. Try your favorite store there shaved beef with BBQ sauce sautéed onions peppers and the same cheeses. Real good dinner.
Lawrence is tough and determined. Continuing to pray for him and family. It's good to see the big bin filling up. Blessings,
☝️🙏🇺🇸💪👉...
Be happy where you are at we got 10 inches of Snow this morning on our picnic table today, Brrrrrrr now I gotta go shovel out the driveway and sidewalk so much fun.
