Quilting is one of the best things to do with a daughter....this one was one of the best shows!!! Your daughter is a doll and I bet you are beyond proud of her!! My daughter and I started quilting when she was 18 years old and we have had a blast!! Now she does crazy stuff for comicon!!! Awwww this was great...thank you!!!
I have a 13 year-old and I feel this so much. My 13 year old did flannel rag quilts with her Pathfinder (like Girl Scout Cadettes) and loved it! She's been asking to make a rag quilt at home, but I might see if she's interested in trying some charm squares. Zero chance she would make it for her 11 year-old sister though!

Reminds me of how my mom and I are when we do stuff together lol...I usually snack while my mom does most of the work while at pretend I need help or need her to show me how lol 😆.

However, you and your lil'-me inspired me to go out and buy a Riley Blake Jelly Roll and make my very first quilt for my granddaughter's birthday next month (she'll be 7) SO EXCITED!!
I sense that this was an early Christmas gift or something to give her a chance to be on UA-cam? Lol. I know she is the most social out of the group and has an interest in being on social media. She can pretend all she wants but I can tell she likes the camera and spotlight. She’s growing up so fast, Angela!

I love this it kind of makes me not so scared of quilting. The straight lines made it seem less daunting. I watch all the videos and really want to quilt but all the different lines and designs are freaking me out.
Awesome job girls!!! When 2 out of my 5 (adult) children agreed to make a quilt with me, I was so excited! They filmed me squealing with excitement while I set up 3 sewing machines, 3 ironing stations & the design wall. It’s such an awesome feeling when your children want to sew with you!! Very special episode!💞💞💞
Angela I can still recall the same kind of manipulation from at least one of my 3 boys at one point or another. Bye ur daughter is beautiful. I know this wasn’t totally real but it does depict the many moments we remember in their lives. Like the 40 you explained to them how to use the vacuum, dishwasher or washing machine. Yet those 5 min in the university laundry, thru their tears, they admitted to u how they knew how to do it all, but it was always so much more fun to have mom there and then take over. But now it’s the college big league and there will be no mommy to pick up the slack. Like I said3 boys, and the last one is going to school in California and that’s a long way from home in Norway. Luckily my husband and I have taught our boys everything from cooking & baking to washing & cleaning, so they’re all set where ever they set up camp during schools and then afterwards.

This so much how it goes at my house trying to teach my two teens how to quilt! My oldest completed a quilt for her best friends birthday this year , (she actually gave it her her ) her friend loves it! My daughter is now completely bit by the quilting bug!
I love how simple you made it all sound! and the interaction was so sweet. Next time I get hit with insomnia I won't be as stressed when I know that I could be creating something unique and personal as a gift (or for me!)
