My mom passed in 2022. I wanted to share our journey for other families that don’t know much about dementia or have support. As a care giver we can’t do everything right but it is ok just keep trying. Gosh takes care of ya ❤️
We went through the exact same thing with my mom. It's a very very hard and heart breaking time to go through, we watched the person who was our rock our go to person for guidance slowly slip from our matriarch to being a child who needed 24 7 care , it's very hard to watch their decline.
My Lord @Bridgett.. ( without trying/sounding to be a creep) you are absolutely stunning.. My grandmother had dementia.. It’s horrible.. I remember 1 time she was sitting on her front porch swing.. She noticed I was crying.. it was like I pushed a button and she immediately came out of the dementia and asked what was wrong.. I told her I had messed up and was getting a divorce.. and she immediately called me by name which she never could remember.. and said “This to Shall Pass”.. and right after she said it, she went right back into the dementia. Which made me cry even harder as I hugged her.. Prayers for you and Fred sis.. You’re doing the best that you can. That’s all you can do. Stay blessed!! ❤❤
Yes, mom would do the same thing. If you even watch the video where she says to make the bacon. You will notice she is upset but then she hears my daughter and realizes she is not feeling well, so she sits down to listen to me. I miss her advice so much.
It’s a hard job to when your parents get sick we took care of our mom , sadly she passed away at 99 years old in January, but I’d do it again if I could
