  • Harley Davidson road king audio walkthrough .
    The bike came to us to change the audio in the bike . It was not a repair , rescue or fix . Customer just wanted a different sound .
    @jpcustomsnyc
    Gets credit for the original audio system layout and port design.
    The bags were well built , well braced and properly tuned for the woofers that were in the bags originally.
    JP’s design included
    10 inch molded woofer rings
    1600.1 2 ohm
    2 Yellow Basket 10s
    1200.4
    4 Beyma sealed back 6.5
    Custom tuned bottom firing port
    Dsr1 dsp
    2 audio pipe 25 mm horns
    Ds18 audio streamer
    Customer came to us because he wanted a different type of sound .
    Nothing wrong with the previous install just a different sound .
    We opted for :
    Rockford dsr1 dsp
    Ds18 Bluetooth streamer
    Sound digital 1600.1 4 ohm ( new )
    Sound digital 1200.4 2 ohm ( new )
    Sound digital 400.4 ( new )
    4- Beyma 6.5 carbon fiber sealed back ( same )
    2- 10 inch nvs audio Neo mid bass ( new )
    6 - ds18 25 mm horn tweeters ( new )
    Braille lithium battery ( new )
    Stinger wiring ( new )
    Nvs audio custom quick disconnect harnesses
    New 10 inch rings had to be molded and re-enforced with lexan nuts and bolts because the bike / bags shake a lot .
    New shorter wider ports had to be molded in ( because the subs are different and the bags are now tuned to a different frequency) and the bags had to be repainted.
    Rockford dsr1 dsp
    Ds18 Bluetooth streamer
    Sound digital 1600.1
    Sound digital 1200.4
    Sound digital 400.4
    4- Beyma 6.5 carbon fiber sealed back
    2- 10 inch nvs audio Neo mid bass
    6 - ds18 25 mm horn tweeters
    Braille lithium battery
    Stinger wiring
    Nvs audio custom quick disconnect harnesses

    Carlos ...when you do a motorcycle audio system with multiple amplifiers how do YOU wire the remote turn on.? Are you using a relay or you splicing or maybe Daisy chaining? I'm just curious. How many volts does an Amplifier need to see coming in through the remote anyway.? 🤔

    • @NVSAUDIO
      @NVSAUDIO  3 роки тому +1

      @rome The new amplifiers require very little amperage to turn on . They want to see 8-15 volts but very little amperage , you can literally turn on 10 amps on on single remote wire . I never us a relay unless I really need to ( sometimes they cause a pop when they shut off and the magnetic field inside the coil collapses) .
      I run remote in from the radio to the dsp ( all
      Dsp have a dedicated remote in and remote out wire to eliminate turn on and off pop with their built in delay circuits. The higher end ones even let you adjust the delay on and off times )
      From the dsp remote out line I branch off to all the amps . I don’t like jumping from amp
      To amp so I will solder all the wires to the single remote out wire at the dsp and then branch them out to the amps from there .
      On some of the sound digital multi amp installs I have to install a relay to force the amps to shut off ( it’s rare but it happens ) I wire a relay to turn the amps on and with the same relay I force the remote turn on line to ground when the head unit is off . The bleeds off any residual charge left on the turn on circuit and forces the amp
      To stay off . ( video on that coming up shortly)

    Nice! Thats a lot to go in the bags.. I bought a chopped tour pack just to hold, 2 amps and dsr. Should all bluetooth receivers be ran to the auxiliary of the DSR like you have it? i have a similar bluetooth receiver( Wet Sounds ).

    • @Barberian_
      @Barberian_ 3 роки тому +2

      did a little research just now and I see the difference between the DS18 bluetooth receiver and my Wet Sounds bluetooth receiver.. the DS18 has Remote Trigger Output and Stereo Male RCA Output to where the Wet Sounds Bluetooth receiver only has 3.5mm output which would then need to be split to RCA to the amp or dsp. Damn, I think I'm going to change my bluetooth set up to this cause it seems so much easier!

    Like your channel and decided to call so I can swing by and discuss a few motorcycles I have that need some audio upgrades. I was told to come down so I drove an hour to the location. I walked in and spoke to the gentleman that let me in and he said I needed to speak with Carlos. I waited for 15-20 min and was just ignored. Guess I’ll have to find another spot to get my work done. Dragonfly customs did one of my harleys in LA a few years back was treated the total opposite from nvs. Was even given a harley to ride while my bike was there for the day.

I came down stairs and you were gone . I thought you were moving your car or something, I’m sorry about that . As you saw when you where here things are really crazy in the shop between the showroom being closed due to Covid, construction going on next door , this clients trailer taking up 4 parking Spots and snow mounds everywhere plus ups just dropped off 20 boxes 📦.
      My guys weren’t ignoring you

      I’m the only one that quotes Harley-Davidson audio . You should have called and let me know you where here , I would have let you know what was going on . Plus you should have told them you had a appointment with me .

      Bluetooth and your phone

    • @romesyoutubechannel5356
      @romesyoutubechannel5356 3 роки тому +1

      Smartphone to bluetooth or USB are the two most common ways to control your music without a head unit. USB has the best sound quality. But Bluetooth is more convenient. If you use your smartphones you will need to turn off the phones equalizer. Equalizer on your smartphone was made for earbuds and headphones, not for reproducing sound going to Mobile Audio amplifier. A DSP or a equalizer is a must Or you will not have a way to tune your system. Most smartphone equalizer has have some sort of volume limiter to keep you from getting ear damage. This will also limits the output going into a amplifier.

      We also mounted the volume control knob to the front of the saddle bag so the client has access to volume control of the whole audio system without ever having to touch his phone .
