You have no idea how many times I've come back to this video just to hear Mouse In The Kitchen. It fills my heart with such joy, your playing makes me feel lighter than air!! Especially when the brisk swing-y pace starts up on the guitar in the second round at 1:01
I worship your techniques, PJ, they're amazing. The Cnat roll, the third octave jump in the second tune, the fast tongue triplets, everything is perfect. I hope to be that good some day.
Missed this one first time round. Just astounding. You've both become masters of your chosen instruments. I think we're overdue another album surely. Put these on it👍🙂
woow!! Me saco el sombrero, aplausos desde Uruguay. Avivaron mi deseo de tocar whistle (aunque sea unas notas) pregunta a los entendidos...qué marca de whistle recomiendan? Gracias
Long time fan first time commenting. Wow. I know speed isn't everything but the flow, little licks and trills alongside that accuracy and pace is putting you up into another level entirely. Amazing! Thanks for sharing!
I wish I could get to the same level you are on. Absolutely amazing! Hopefully I can get a step closer with my new Chieftain V4 low whistle, the air requirements due to the amazing back-pressure are nil compared to my old Irish Flute. Do you think you could start up a tutorial channel or at least a playlist with a few songs?
I haven't watched a video from you guys in a few years but I'm really glad I stopped back in. This is AMAZING, especially loved the chords 2:18- - forward. Something about it + the pace has this great drive. Very illustrative. Keep it up! See you guys next time :)
@@Elias_98 haha thanks! I'm a flute/piccolo player (I know, where is THAT in the videos?!) but I was really into pennywhistle and tinwhistle because it was used in the soundtrack of LOTR. The TinWhistler bros are the OG guys that have been playing since about that time on UA-cam and I've always been obsessed.

My time spent there is what inspired me to go on and do a degree in Spanish in University in ireland :D anyway lovely music thank you.:) I'm listening to all your videos smiling away :D
:) Awesome! I love that place, much quieter and smaller than other touristic places in Mallorca. BTW, its official name (and what locals call it) is "Port de Pollença". ;)
I watching all your videos with pleasure. Thanks for sharing. Is it worth it to buy such DVG whistles? I`m beginer.(I have thunderbird Low D, Karavaev`s Low E). Thanks.
+Christopher Laughlin actually Brian Finnegan is more popular for his tongued triplets than for his rolls. And this is what I tried to do here. The secret? Just say t-k-t while blowing. Thanks!
Hola que tal saludos desde Argentina!!! Me podrían compartir los acordes, la armonía de la guitarra? Queremos hacer un cover con mi amigo y me gusta muchísimo esos arreglos. Gracias por compartir. Que viva el arte!!
Very nice. What type of whistle (make, key) are you playing here? I'm a piper , but I'm learning the high and low whistle in D so I can play with the local session. It's a lot of fun but I'm having a hell of a time getting my head around the overblowing concept.
I’d love to learn this on my whistle! I play by ear as music and tabs give me flashbacks from my childhood with an angry music teacher lol But I’d struggle to play something this intricate without some assistance- how do I join to gain access? Thank you ☺️
@@pipiattwood2987 by ear is totally fine in trad music. You can click on the Join button to see all the info, and if you choose the "Watch & Learn" level you'll see me play tunes slowly and I'll send you links to Mouse in the Kitchen, etc. You'll also get access to some basic video-tutorials. But you're right that this is quite intricate, because it takes time to learn the traditional Irish way of playing. You have to listen to it a lot, and also learn how to do the ornaments, etc. I'm going to start giving private lessons again soon, so check back later for more info when I announce it. Thanks for your interest. 👍
Just a funny thing I learned from a friend. I only use it for this tune. Only for the C sharp note. Keep your thumb on the back of this whistle as normally without moving it. Then move the main three fingers of your top hand down over the top hole, starting with the ring finger and finishing with the index finger. Edit: I thought you meant that funny finger trick in Mouse in the kitchen, sorry. I think what you actually mean is a tongued triplet, which is done by saying "ta-ka-ta" while you blow.
Found this while searching videos on how to get rid of mice in the kitchen!! What a fantastic coincidence, you have a new follower!! 🙌🙌
LOL! Welcome and good luck with the mice! 🐀
Hahahaha LOL. That's the funniest thing I've ever heard
Jesus, that's good. Best version of Edinburgh Rock I've ever heard.
😇🙏🌹🎻
I think Ireland needs to give you two some kind of award for what you do. Just awesome.
Still one of my favourite videos. Your whistle ornamentation is on fire, guitar is rock steady

When you feel that the music changes, that's when the next tune begins. The order is Mouse in the Kitchen / Road to Errogie / Edinburgh Rock.

Just wondering what make of tin whistle this is? Thank you!
DVG, handmade by a Spanish guy. Made of PVC.
