Even though Father Valery is a mature man, his youthful spirit is still alive. And most importantly, he has a desire to help people. This is a very valuable asset, without which I believe a priest is incomplete. It is an essential quality for a priest. If he is called to go somewhere, he will do so without hesitation, even if it comes at a cost to his health. He will listen to a confession and will never refuse. This quality is very dear to us, as it shows that for him, serving others is not just a part of his life, but his entire life.
We would like to congratulate Father Valery on his Angel Day and wish him many more years of working and serving God and the community in our monastery, in the care facility, with the sick and the healthy, of whom there are few - perhaps none at all. We wish for him to comfort people and truly carry his priestly cross until the last minute of his life. May God grant him all the best.
