Great video! I know about some more superstitions. Afaik, in China when you are giving gifts you must avoid giving 4 pieces of anything, good idea is to give 3 of 5 of something, but definitely to avoid 4, like you already said in the video, the number 4 tends to be avoided. Also regarding gifts, when you wrap the items into something, it is a good idea to wrap the items into something that has red color. Further, when bringing the gift and presenting it to the person, you should hand it over by both hands to show respect.
WOW, here in Italy we have the fifth superstition, too! I suspect it's a loaned one from China, because no-one managed to clarify that one to me... But maybe I simply had bad luck and the two lores share the same feature by chance
That was very interesting. I hope you will make another video on the topic. I beieve there is a wisdom in many superstitions of different countries. I have number 8 on my car #.
Got into a fight in 2018 for chopstick in my rice bowl in Toronto Canada.. The Manager of the restaurant told me after the server was knocked out True fact
@@revolvertaco7493 if you pay for it then not a gift..can’t tell you true or not…just from the culture…However, I’ll gladly accept a nice sword or spear
Dan, have these superstitions been proven in real life? Have you seen someone got bad luck because they don't follow them or someone got filthy rich because they follow them?
That Fortune cat is nearly EVERY store I go.
It's the first one to say "hi" to me before anyone else.
Indeed, hi there😊

My wife is afraid of black and white photos, especially in black frames.....my hobby is black and white photography 😅
Must be tough
White and black is commonly worn on when your at someone funeral, so I’m not allowed to where white ribbons in my house, and I like ribbons :(
In Russia a clock it is a bad gift too. Same about an open umbrella. Very interesting.
When purchasing a new home bring a dog or baby with you. If it barks or the baby cries you don't want the home because it has bad energy.
My parents don’t allow pets just because my grandma hates pets (because she’s the one taking care of them all the time)
Wow thanks for sharing this video I now learned something for sure. And oh I’ll be buying the fortune waving cats very soon.
Pleaso do part 2!
I go to this place in North America named "Hibachi" and at the front desk right when you come in you see the "Maneko" or "fortune cat".
