What kind of moss did you silicone in place? I've done a couple builds where I siliconed zoomed terrarium moss and frog moss in places and it turned brown after a couple days. I loved having the green in there, if there's another kind of moss that stays green I'll do it in my next build.
Hey caleb. Ive had really good success with dried moss bought from local nurserys. They stay green for long. But if your humidity is good id suggest going a different route. Use java moss cliped too your backround (not siliconed) or use black thread and gently tie the moss to your wooden pieces and enjoy the moss taking over.
It might give you some hassle in a crestie viv due too the humidity gradient necessary for moss. But if you make it part of a waterfall area you should be good
@@Calbreos I know this is a year late, but I'd maybe do a finer moss to silicone in place mixed with some moisture holding soil. Something to give the real live (expensive kind that you don't want dying lol) moss to root into. It's one thing to just glue the moss in and call it done & expect it to grow vs. cultivating space to add & grow live moss. Hope your viv's are looking great & doing well! 😄🌿
Im so glad i found this channel!! Haven't seen any decent content creators from SA !! Looks kwaai man ! Much love
Thanks so much! I appreciate it a ton man 💪🏻💪🏻
This is a great video on making Vivarium backgrounds ✌ good one Mate
Wow man it looks incredible!! Well done!
Awesome vid what brand liquid rubber did you use?
Awesomeness Video man😎
Fantastic build. I have a question, can moss grow and live on this kind of surface? I mean the layer of dirt/coconut is very thin.
hi man.ive had decent success with moss adhering well too these backgrounds' thicker layer of background would aid in a "lusher" moss look
Great video! Really appreciate the step by step! Where did the sticks come from? Did you clean them? If so, how?
We bought them at a Local petshop.
To clean them you can soak them in F10 water thats boiling. Or you can cook in oven. Altho hardly necessary
And thanks so much
Thank you!!
This Channel Is Going Places
Thanks so much man appreciate it alot!

What tipe of liquid rubber dit you use and i really liked the video it will really help me in the future keep it up
Talk to Bryce Broom from Righteous Reptiles. I get it from. Him
For the plant cups, do you put liquid rubber inside? Do you drill drainage holes?
I dont out liquid rubber inside.
I do however make small holes with a screw driver to allow the planters to drain

@@Undisputedreptiles great thanks! I would like to try real moss, I'm doing a vivarium for a crested gecko I thought about trying it in there.
