I LOVE your definition and volume with these products. I make my own flax seed gel and HOOOONEY--The flakes can be offensive! I have found that if I put a butter or oil on top before it dries, it's laes crunchy and flaky, but still has PLENTY of hold. Maybe reversing the oil/styler might prevent the flaking🤷🏽♀️.
I’m currently under the dryer with it again. Hopefully it doesn’t flake! Or at least not as much

Very interesting! Lanolin is supposed to be an excellent... Moisturizer? Sealant! It's ability to seal in moisture is amazing. But. It can be a very irritating ingredient. If you have a wool allergy, watch out. Also, I've found that it can lead to break outs because of how heavy it is so I try to keep it off/away from my face.

That true about the flaking. The first person I saw used this product was Only One Jess and said she has flakes as well but the product defined her hair well.
I was hoping using the oil under the custard would prevent flaking but nope. Smh

Yes the flaking was out of control!! I was fooled at first because I did finger coils with it and didn’t try to separate them til 2 days later and it was a blizzard 😭😭 if you can find a way around the flaking, we’ll be cooking with gas then! 😂😂

I was allergic to the chemical's in the jerry curl and I couldn't get one again, so I used regular hair grease and water and I would plat my hair and when I took it down I had beautiful coils in my hair ,but I màde small plats and still today I still do my hair the same way. And as a black woman I have to say all black people can do the same if you have a healthy moisturized condition head of hair this method works for all of us. Try it.

Flaking can be an issue of ingredients reacting, but tighter cuticles can also experience flaking when products don't absorb as well. Are you high or low porosity?

This is the third time I've heard from a YT influencer that products were sent free of charge. I've tried for more than a month to order the products and it is beyond challenging to say the least. So challenging that I still don't have the products although I have DM'd, emailed and called. The company has sent me several links that don't work and then emailed me saying the site isn't working at this time. I finally gave up but good for you! @Onlyonejess is where I saw this product reviewed first and she definitely had flakes...a LOT of them. Your hair came out nice by the way.

I remember whenever I was in juvenile lock up and I went into my room for the first time and I seen brown stuff all over the wall and I instantly assumed it was poop. I was freakin out. They had a line in the room that you weren't allowed to cross without asking the security guards but I went out there so ready to argue 😂 acting like I knew exactly what I was talking about went right over that line like I was bad ...went right up to the guard and When I told her there's shit on the wall she started laughing at me 😫 I got twice as mad. The first thing she asked me was if it's shit why is there no smell 😂 I was stumped .... she pulled out the gel that they allowed us to use and said: you mean this shit? 🥱😂 I looked so dumb. And right after we sat down and played uno and she did my hair 💕 when you showed the color and texture it reminded me of that day.
She was supposed to spray it with water first, then at the product. It makes a difference and how it absorbs the moisture.

Yeah, we do not like crunch, can’t stand flaking, nor stiffness. I tried a product this week for the first time and I think I love it. No stiff, no flakes, no crunch. There is a product line, but I only used the curl gel.
What did you use?
I really wanted to like the product and the curls were popping but I had to put on the breaks because of the flaking. If they can create a product without the flaking then I will definitely buy it.
Put a lil coconut oil over the flaking hair or spray with oil sheen.
