Man videos do not do this car justice. I had the good fortune to be able to see these race and my god those shifts felt like gunshots. You could hear it shifting from the other side of the track

This is probably a stupid question but why does I have a clutch if it's not a manual gearbox
This is a RS3 CUP which means this is 100% race car and for 0% road use.
So naturally this car has a sequential manual transmission. It's just that it has paddles to shift, not the stick.
***** Not used for heel and toeing as the gearbox has auto-blip, if you clutch while it's blipping you're going to mess up the process. So yes, the clutch is only used for getting the car rolling, like on most paddle shifter race cars.
***** with old mechanical sequential gearbox you have to heel and toe.. These new gearboxes have automatic throttle bliping so there is no need for heel and toe

You have never driven a race car have you? Clutches in these are very hard and very sensitive and that is why anyone that really knows about this is not making idiotic comments about the mistake.
