- In today's video, I catch colorful aquarium fish using a fish trap to put into my new fountain backyard pond!! We revisited the tiny creek that I previously caught Molly fish, platy fish, and colorful guppies and we caught SO MANY!

Use a caulk tube with mortar to fix the leak. If you have any large holes place some foam or just fill the hole with the same mortar caulk.
With zero filtration or water movement I wouldn’t overload that tiny amount of water in the fountain, Live bearers are tough but too many could turn that water toxic. The little one with the horizontal stripe looked like a White Cloud Mountain minnow.
The live plants will help to filter the pond is the bioload is not too high
Nice vid. Heres a suggestion. Get one of those small clear plastic veiwing tanks so you can show us these beautiful fish up close.

Love your videos & fishing for exotics vicariously through you. You SERIOUSLY need to create an indoor nano shrimp tank, or a larger outdoor one. Shrimp are easy breeders & become quite addictive. As long as they have a bit of cover they're happy. They need snails, as they eat their poop. I have Red Cherry shrimp & they so interesting to watch. They're actually quite personable & curious. I'd really love to see how you would tackle it. G'Day from Western Australia. 🤓🤟

The non platy looks like a White Cloud Mountain fish! One of the platies with the large dark spot at the base of the tail looks like a Mickey Mouse platy!

Platies come in many different colors. The colors have been interbred for years to produce new color types but they are all the same fish. They have also been interbred with swordtails to move the color type variations through both groups.. It is very hard today to find a purebred strain of platies or swordtails since they have been interbred at least 40 or 50 years. Yours are platies. None were guppies, however in your intro, the last fish you show is one.

Hi I believe that the minnow with the black stripe is a type of dace and the white fish are female platies and the rest are males except for the skinned on which is a guppy

Try a clear epoxy resin on the fountain it would make it nice and shinny too. Love the fountain. Platys are so underrated they are awesome little fish and breed like rabbits. What is the filtration in the fountain?? Keep the videos coming

Florida is like all you can catch aquarium fish place
That's probably enough for that fountain,they will breed about every 30 day's. Definitely put in a few more of the plants so they have hiding places and are able to get out of the sun.
Remember the fountain isn't very deep so the water can get really hot, and most canals and ponds and streams are cold.
If you want more, set up a nice pond or bigger aquarium for this type of fish.
Also it's going to be very easy for birds and other wildlife to get to them.
If you keep them in there, add some fine mesh over the fountain ⛲,👍🏻🙌😁

Yes they all can breed. The white one is a koi sword tail. it was a genetically modified fish. it be nice to have black mollies.

Here in the UK we can only buy these fish, not many colourful fish in our waters. Just bought some plattys, mollys and a pleco and spent £50. Love your videos

The one with 1 big dot and 2 small Dots near the tail.. we call: Mickey Mouse platy. You know. One dot is the face. Two Dots is the ears

platy someone let go of their Aquarium fiah in that canal system, really cool. I breed Swordtail and platies I've never seen them in the wild. Sailfin Mollies are out there and beautiful to.

Take some of those mosquito fish they will reproduce with those guppy’s you already have in there

I would breed a whole school of them. Probably start off with 20 of them. breed them and go for the best pattern you like. Then start breeding that strain and and pattern you like, then soon enough you'll have your own typ of variety of fish. Then, only then you can actually make money breeding your own strain. calling them whatever name of fish you want...
What about birds trying to eat the fish or taking a bird bath and making the water nasty? Very curious about that. I know there are floating plants a stuff but couldn't some birds just wait for the fish to come out of hiding or move the plants?
