Our Pitt passed away in May of this year, and she had no personal space either. Her name was Libby but I told my husband we should have named her Eileen since she had to lean against you or lay partially in your lap. I love Pitties, the best companions.❤😊
We really liked you guys before but now that we found out that y’all have Pits? Love y’all now. We have 4 dogs with one being a pit mix. I understand about no personal space. My wife and I have tried to watch y’all as much as we can. We are planning to full time RV in a few years after we retire. It’s nice to learn and understand from your videos. We are leaning more toward a super C. Probably the Renegade Verona LE 40 LRB. We live in SW Ohio but we have 2 adult children in NY city and 1 in Northern California. So I see a lot of miles in our future. Great channel.
The countdown, I just had my Bday last week, officially retired! I started the retirement countdown two years ago..you are almost there!! Keep up the great informative videos! Beautiful campground and cute doggies!
Retired LEO from CA. Retirement is not overrated, it’s awesome! We are currently in Galveston TX and if all goes well, home in February for 2 months than back on the road again.
FYI, I am also Ret LE. Ret 2X. I first retired in 1997 as a SGT. Then since I was so young, I did another 20 Yrs and Ret again as a SGT. I keep doing the annual Re Qualifications for LEOSA / HR218 since we travel (RV) all over. Be safe, especially when fueling up. Danger lurks. Hopefully your pit bulls are not as friendly as they look. Occasionally I will have My GSD outside with me when I fuel up.
Great video. We have never been to a large Rv resort but do enjoy supporting smaller local (city, county, state park) campgrounds. Always quiet, relaxing and reasonable price some have full hookups. Thanks for sharing
You guys are going to love retirement, I just hit my first year of full retirement, I told my wife I should have done it 30 years ago...lol. We do fall camping, now that I'm retired we will do winter camping, but on the Alabama Gulf Shores.
I can't wait to start traveling. I will be chasing the warm weather, but I love me some fall days and nights! I will be bringing my now 8 year old puppy. I'm going to watch your video on dog stuff next.
Love this video…Such pretty fall colors! and a quiet campground to explore. Our chihuahuas lay all over us ALL the time lol… gotta love our fur babies ❤️ By the way… the Wingman is starting his livestream again! Please drop in sometime 🤗
We have the rest of this school year and two more until retirement. Hoping to get out sooner…. We’ll see….camping mostly summers until then. We really enjoyed this video, especially the spooky walk 😂
Great video! Nice to see a park opened all year round. It’s good too see you feeding your dogs healthy dog food. We do that too. I know on rainy days it’s sleepy weather but what we do is relax and watch movies. That was creepy with your neighbor. Scary enough for Halloween. Lol! So glad to see your dogs showing the love they for you. My dog does that too! That means they know we love them unconditionally. I love dogs. Thank you for the video loved it. See you both soon.
We do not go to that extent, We use Life's Abundance dog food Its supposed to be one of the healthiest its like $140 per bag, but we think it is worth it.
Had no idea Stokes had water hookups and allowed dogs. Several years ago we always went to Worthington but no hookups, no pets allowed. So our friends with 4 legged children couldn't join us there. We lived up that way for 25 yrs! Why weren't we aware of what Stokes had and allowed??!😯
We have 2 English bulldogs that sleep with us. Both literally sleep “on me” or against me. Sometimes one of them sleeps on the top of my head. It’s hilarious because they “sneak” onto my body or head. They each weigh about 60 pounds so why they think they can “sneak” onto my head without waking me is hilarious. I adore and cherish them!
We are going to the Tampa show. We live less than two hours away, and I need to find a campground for that. This is our break-in year, so we are looking forward to the seminars and exhibits of gear, both necessary and fun-to-have. We have only had the trailer out once, and camped close to home while we learned the new trailer’s setup and take down routine. It was cold and rainy, (Even Florida can get that way!) so we enjoyed the electric fireplace which made it so cozy inside! The WiFi worked, the TV worked, so all was good!
We attend the Tampa show every year and will be there in January. We do our long trips in the Fall but next year we may venture out in the Spring as well.
Where were you guys - Harmony Ridge? We went there a few years ago and camped in January and it was 12 degrees. Yes, we're NJ neighbors - we are more in South Jersey. Great video - stay safe.
We have never camped there, but we have been to the park a few times when we lived in Somerset NJ. We will be doing some winter camping this year. We leave right after Thanksgiving and heading to Sunoutdoors Orange Beach for 3 months then 2 Florida State Parks Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and St. Andrews State Park 2 weeks at each park.
Our pit is super sweet. She rarely gets on any furniture unless there's fireworks or a thunderstorm. When we first got her at about 3 years old she would jump up on the counters. We were able to correct that easily.
We love to fall camp. We camp mainly at " Harbor Village" in Door County Wisconsin. It's a beautiful campground and area. Bonus, it's right next door to Door Peninsula winery.
I'd love to camp into December but just afraid to risk it. If we had a heated garage for the rig I'd do it for sure. I love it when it cools off. We are so looking forward to Tampa, making a big trip out of it.
I'm not an RV'er but enjoy your vlogs nonetheless! I was pleasantly surprised to see your Pittie pups! Your little Fawn girl looks a lot like our boy who also has cancer and he lost use of his front legs about a year ago. He pushes himself around the house with his back legs and when he needs to do his business outside he can push the patio door open to get to the grass. I don't have to tell that Pitties are the most loving dogs on earth! I'm going to look for the turkey tail extract and will look forward to your next video! Mike R.
You guys are a gorgeous couple and I love watching your videos. I think I want to get a pit bull for my next pup after my dogs go. They’re young still but I really like how they snuggle buggle (as my daughter says) and yet they intimidate others. I need that being a single mom. Cute pups❤
FYI the wife hates cold and snow (even if it is post card perfect). I promised her all future winter camping will be in Fl. We are currently in the Foothills Of The Great Smokey Mountains. Usually a maximum of 3-4 snows a year and it is usually gone by noon of the following day where we live. I like the Spirit Of The Suwannee RV Park (By the Suwannee River) in Fl. That park is huge tons of privately owned Golf Carts and Mini Bikes (the park is like three miles long). The tour of their Christmas light display takes like a half hour, to go through it. There is also a great RV park (Sunshine Holiday RV Park) in Ormand beach. Its about 15-20 minutes to the Daytona Speedway (without traffic, up to about 45 minutes when there are Daytona events).
Grew up in NJ and graduated HS 83. It is a great state but I joined the USN and never moved back. You guys gotta come to my adult hood Olympic Peninsula for some gorgeous RVing. Bring your passport and hop over to Vancouver Island in 90 minute ferry ride from our hometown Port Angeles.
I ❤🧡💛🤎 the fall! It is my favourite time of the year, but alas, we have to winterize in October in Canada so our motorhome is hibernating until spring. I'm still trying to convince my hubby that we can do one more trip. We just bought these fantastic camping chairs (Kuma - made in Canada) that are heated. The chairs are super comfortable as well. No more cold bums and backs around the fire! I want to try them out. Love when you have the dogs with you! They are adorable! Our chocolate lab and husky go nuts when we head out camping. Neither of them understand personal space and believe they are lap dogs. They eat human grade food as well, lots of fresh meat with vegetables and some fruit. Whatever grain I am making for us - rice, barley, wheat berries, quinoa, buckwheat, farro, oats - they get some as well. Carly is 13 1/2 and Annie is 9 1/2 years old and still going strong.
Husband and I and daughter just did a few nights close by in a cabin Thursday to Saturday and was nice I’m surprised it wasn’t really cold. Would be nice too if I had an RV
I haven't had a dog in my life that knows what personal space is 😊 I had to barricade the bathroom door because my Great Dane knew how to open the door, and she loved baths whether you were in it or not 😂 God I miss her 😢❤❤
We are in NJ. I didn’t know we had year round campgrounds! We will have to look into fall camping next year. Can you share where you stayed in this video?
Sure! It’s Harmony Ridge Campground. Here’s a full campground review we did on it so you can check out the whole place. ua-cam.com/video/Qs7TKQ_T9dc/v-deo.htmlsi=ABUGQrB9pvGqJBFv
MJ, When I saw you walking your dog I noticed the leash is attached to the front instead of the dogs back. What does this help with I have a Pomeranian and he pulls so bad when I walk him would that type of collar help with that. thank you
It’s called the Freedom No Pull harness. Anytime you have a harness that connects in the back of a dog, it encourages pulling like a husky pulling a sled. Lol I’ve used this with almost every dog I’ve trained and it works really well. Something else that you want to do is encourage your dog to stay next to you, so bring some of their favorite treats on the walk, and every time they look at you, give them a treat. They’ll start doing it more often. Here is the link for the harness: amzn.to/3MqYIMw
Thank you and by the way we love your channel. We are not RV,ers yet but you have a lot of great content thfat will be useful in the future. We live in Florida but originally from Cape May county in NJ.
So glad I live out west where we can camp free in national forests or on BLM land. We carry extra water and dry camp for a week or more. No neighbors and our dogs can run free. I’m actually glad most people don’t like this type of camping.
So where's the disturbing encounter with the creepy neighbor? What, walking past dude listening to music with lights in the trees? You're lucky your neighbors weren't Deadheads!
Oh yah I need a"me" day once in a while and if it's raining "bonus" I get what you've saying MJ and I really like the tan dog, looks like it came from a good breeder, beautiful dog I'm sorry if I didn't catch the sex my hearings not so well!❤❤😅
The brown one is Sierra and she was found on the street in a very undesirable area of NJ. Someone else’s loss was our gain for sure. 😊 Thanks for watching!
Pit Bulls are the best dogs. They really get a bad rap due to what some evil people do with them. We had two Pits Chino and Bella. They have since passed away due to age. They are so loving and great with kids. We now have a Frenchie called Zane now. He don't know what personal space is. Got him in March while we were visiting our son in Boca Raton FL. Love the video seeing your babies.
I like to stay busy all the time but I do enjoy a rainy day occasionally to read and relax in the RV.
MJ does also!
Nice, relaxing video. Love the dogs and the beautiful scenery! I enjoy your channel very much....thank you!
Thank you very much!

So sorry about your Pittie passing. 🥲 They’re like our children. They truly are special dogs. ❤️

Very pretty and quiet place. We do winter camping here in the Pacific Northwest but always stay at a state park so we have hookups.

So cute! I love English bulldogs. Do they snore? Lol
Reminds me of Camp Crystal Lake near Blairstown, NJ. Spooky. I always think of Friday the 13th in the woods at night.
We’ll have to check that place out. Thanks!

Yes our Bowser does look like Petey. People say that all the time lol

You got that right!
My puggle likes his personal space, but he doesn’t respect mine.

We really haven’t run into any issues yet.
We are planning on being in Arizona this winter. If it gets really cold then we will head to south Texas.
