Thanks for watching!
As a wise man once said, "I feel like I owe Halo Completionist money". Thank you for these guides.
*Heh, I know who said that.*
The two friends doing LASO said this, right? I think I remember them mentioning Silver lol
For anyone wondering, this is the video: ua-cam.com/video/ViRdcLCkBw4/v-deo.html
Probably the same guys. Detroit Oddballs' "The Entire Halo 2 LASO Experience".
These guides are the only thing getting me through this playlist
@@zombiesquid4657 you basically skip most of sniper jackals in Halo 2 LASO. Also the aggressivity of the AI (especially brutes and elites) makes it Halo 2 LASO easier when they are at a punch distance from you.
Yeah every game has specific AI which you can exploit and be able to predict what they're gonna do. You just need to play enough to start recognizing the patterns enemies go through. Also, what Axel Joly said...I skip almost all sniper jackals. There's about a dozen on Outskirts and I only kill one by coming from behind and to the side from far away so it's really safe and easy.
@VibrantWolf show some respect
Zombie Squid Halo 2 is definitely harder than CE but if you stomached CE LASO, you could totally do this one too. It’s unfair as hell and sure isn’t fun but Silver’s guides make it almost tolerable. Except Gravemind. That one will never be tolerable.
@@HaloCompletionist Ironically playing on LASO with double overshield makes snipers not one shot kill you so its easier lol
Notice how the views dropped from 52 thousand on Gravemind to 18 thousand on this video.
That is not a coincidence.
I can't believe the Arbiter would betray his own kind and massacre them just like the brutes
It's okay, those elites still believe in the prophets, they deserve it.
3 brutes spawn in the beginning now.
Edit: You have to kill the first one fast and try to get the grenades and sword asap.
I remember doing the 3 hour achievement I beat this level in about 3:10. Such a welcome cool down after Gravemind.
I hundred percent agree. It took me and my friend 9 hours to beat Gravemind in 3 attempts and a lot of restarts
What a relief to be able to make it to this video.... I need a drink after finishing Gravemind!
Hey man, thanks a lot for that guide, I'm really bad at legendary, even more at LASO and halo 2 is my first actual legendary playthrough of a campaign, and you helped me a lot through it, even if this was intended for LASO and some things happen and enemies behave differently, it still works a lot for me.
That’s rough, you really should have started with one that doesn’t make you rip your hair out as much like 3 haha. Props for suffering through it.
After gravemind this is a very nice reprieve
The sounds of nature while walking through the foliage are reminiscent of the breeze from the waves in the beaches of The Silent Cartographer after LASO TnR. The storm is long gone now, yet here I stand.
Here I thought I knew everything about Uprising and Halo Completionist shows off some new tricks.
Nice, man! So much stuff I wish i knew during my LASO run haha
So wait, hang on, SilverScorpion4, BronzeBillygoat, okay so who’s the gold and platinum of the family and what creature are they? Yea but anyhow, I successfully did the button combo on gravemind, everything else afterwards wasn’t too bad. I dunno why a simple button combo gave me trouble, it’s always the little things that I trip up on. Either ways great content as always and I’m glad you can still speedrun this level on LASO like you can on normal legendary.
Yeah BronzeBillygoat is my brother. Some of our friends have others. Gold and Platinum are GoldenGopher10 and PlatinumPython5.
Thank god for keyboard macros. Made the combo as easy as holding down a button.
LickedHorn
Yea well I had sticks! Two sticks, and a controller - and my hands had to share the controller!

@@aeronautisch Hey guys, General Heed here, how's everyone doing today
This is my favorite halo mission
Great video! I feel I am on the home stretch now.
Thank you for all these halo 2 laso guides These are helpful but I’m still on spartan assault trying to get all achievements
7:13 Holy crap, we've come a long way from tricky grenade jumps and sliding off the side of the wall to get the same result. I wish I knew this earlier lololol
At 5:02 I found it much easier to blast most of the Brutes/Jackals off the cliff with the Fuel Rod Cannon before walking down to the fern. When I tried your strategy of just running through it, the friendly Elites just wouldn't spawn for me, so the enemies never stopped firing at me when I hid behind the rock
Gravemind LASO 50K views.
Uprising LASO 17K views.
1 like = 1 prayer for a Spartan who didn't make it. 😔🙏
I miss the freedom that Halo used to have. This is what we should be able to do in all of the games.
Now they all are, “return to battle field 10 seconds” lol.
@@tamezzodiac2862 That is one of the most infuriating things in any game ever.
If you are having trouble with the second grenade jump as I did, just jump straight down unto the cliff and make your way down quickly. If you're quick enough you can despawn the enemies, usually not, but just cloak yourself and run around them, it's easier than trying to jump a million times.
3:37 LOL, I smacked the brute here and the fusion cores yeeted me across the room and I slid down to safety.
This guy deserves 22.9 mil subs not
22.9k subs
After gravemind I am never ever doing a laso on halo 2 fuck that got a bad checkpoint in the last arena and it took 6 hours to beat it 2 hunters and a squad of elites right at the start of my checkpoint
Such a great way to move on from Gravemind, im out of snacks!
Them ultra allies are beast, easily the toughest alien in the level
It work @5:55, there is still one brute alive and all the enelies spawn with the ghost before you get to the skip
A quick and easy one, and a very nice break after the hell that was Gravemind. Half way through the playlist :D 23/46
Took me ages to do those first 2 grenade jumps then I finally did it and accidentally jumped into a pit lmao
Amazing guide Silver, are you going to do guides for MCC PC achievements for achievements without splitscreen. You did many Xbox guides for achievements using splitscreen or multiplayer partners but there are ways to do many of them Solo for PC players. For instance "Starved for Shields" and "Airborne" in the Silent Cartographer by nading the warthog out of bounds with bandanna and sputnik and driving it off the top cliffs of the island over the enemies.
You’re telling me you can do Airborne solo? You can do Starved for Shields with the cutscene “missions” from what I remember but some require at least 2 people. Even the assist achievement is possible to get with 2 people without split screen through Reach Firefight.
@@221Prohunter I did starved for shields, I've tried airborne solo, but I haven't been able to get enough airtime and hit an enemy at the same time. Though it is possible to get vehicles on the top of the map and propel yourself while driving them with a well timed grenade ahead of where you'll drive.
Which assist achievement? the one for 2500 assists? also we could try some achievements
@@MrMercuryW dude I'm still looking for airborne too, we could try it, and other halo 2 achievements easier on coop like the 100 environmentalist kills or boarding a vehicle 5 times, etc
@@diegosrvin4332 yeah pass me your steam or gtag
@@MrMercuryW my gtag: DSNK221 and steam I'm just DSN
After Gravemind these next three missions are basically a victory lap
What am I doing wrong. In the beginning, after cloaking myself and jumping on the rock wall, the brute still sees me and never turns around. He just waits til I uncloak and shoots me.
Play around a bit with the timing of your cloak. You may be cloaking too late/early.
the trigger skip at the start seems to not work at all -- could hitting that checkpoint on the cliff edge be why?
*edit* okay at 1:05 you need to jump HIGH over that fallen log. The video didn't clarify this. I assumed you wanted to keep as far 'right' as possible, to avoid the spawn zone. NO. You need to keep as HIGH UP as possible. Figured it out after many tries, hopefully a future revision of the guide clarifies this part.
Part one of this video you don’t even have to grenade jump! Just keep walking along side the cliff and jump right onto the wall and then jump onto the next wall from there and you get to the same exact spot of 1:05
yeah, but then the brutes still spawn
I didn't bother watching this video. My partner did, but I skipped it. Gravemind had already pissed me off so much I wasn't really invested at that point.
We tried the skip that he knew about at the beginning, the despawn, but it didn't work out (the brutes grouped up into 3 every time and made it hard for him to get overshield) so we just jumped from platform to platform and stealthed around the time we went up to the door. With them distracted by him, I beat down a brute for shields and make a run for it before stealthing to catch up. The sword elite helped distract the brutes.
Had a little trouble getting past the jackals and brutes at that point so we took it slow going back and forth until we eventually cleared some of it and he was able to solo sneak up to the next area. I caught up by sneaking but he eventually teleported me to him by making it far enough anyway so I was able to skip the jump down which probably still had enemies in it.
From there it was just a short trip outside and the level skip which he and I already knew about (in fact, he showed me it a week ago before we even started LASO runs). Not a horrible level. I expect the next two will be harder.
I accidentally found that skip, but I messed up the trigger so I respawned at my checkpoint half way through the cutscene then I lost my score and checkpoints, so I had to play through half the level on Legendary without checkpoints just to get the skull and terminal.
It wasn't every fun.
Why do people leave dislikes?
Because the beginning spawns 3 brutes and not 1, after you ko him from the back 2 others come and chase you, these guides are good but in most cases just not accurate
My co-op partner and I got to the end and as soon as the cutscene loaded, the game disconnects. This has happened 3 times. Is there a known issue related to the skip at the end that causes the game to break?
Nah, MCC is known to just disconnect/crash in random places in coop, though. You both may want to just do this level solo then join back up for the last 2 levels. At least this is one of the easier missions!
@@HaloCompletionist that's a shame. We've tried going to the end and having one person quit to finish solo, but the host game ends as soon as the client quits. Guess we have to choice but to Solo it.
I’m having the exact same problem
@@Walter__Clements we had no luck finishing it. We had to do this mission separately and then regroup for The Great Journey
@@flightlessraptor1082 We managed to get it, it was because we didn’t do the despawn right
Easy, go next.
You should edit at 5:09 to specify that you actually go to the fern to spawn in enemies, not "I like to go to this fern"
Are u gonna use the flood to beat the next mission?
Nope! Too tough for the average joe. High Charity isn't too hard playing it straight up anyway.
@@HaloCompletionist ok. Would you teach us how to use it in the future? Thanks, awesome content
@@HaloCompletionist Curious to see how you're gonna beat the Sanctified room!
This may sound like a stupid question, but how do you activate your cloak?
@Puneet Kumar Xbox
@Puneet Kumar top man!
soundlessb00m Lb if your button layout is set to default my be different if your using like recon or bumper jumper
soundlessb00m I believe it’s X on Xbox if you’re playing mcc which I’m sure everyone is lol
0:58, btw, you DONT need to grenade jump here, you can make the jump on your own, I just tried it.
edit: ok nvm I think that spawns the enemies lol
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Gonna pass on these challenges. Too hardcore.
They're not too awful when you get the hang of it. Each game has different strats for LASO and if you play by them and follow his guides you can do it
@@chrischin_94 do you get any kind of achievement for beating a level on LASO?
@@mg6192 you do when you complete the whole campaign
There's the achievements for beating an entire LASO playlist, but there's also an achievement for just doing one mission on Legendary with all the skulls from the associated playlist on. "No Pain, No Gain" is the name of the achievement.
Another example of your guide not being accurate, while the majority is obviously good, the beginning is hell. As you smack the brute, 2 others come around the corner and throw grenades at you . Never mentioned that did ya….
I'm facing this same problem. Very annoying.
Same thing happened to me. These guides are a bit inaccurate sometimes, but overall they are amazing. It was pretty easy to dodge those two brutes though, you just need to kill the first brute fast, grab sword and nades and run.
And tbh, if you are so far into this campaign, you should be able to deal with some surprises that the game throws at you.
Old comment, but not an inaccuracy, everywhere i've read states the 3 brutes replacing the lone one is a recent change.
God this level was aids
great vid!
everybody gangsta until they have to play LASO without silver's guides
ok this is epic
