Very nice review...very true in the sense that you put in words what you actually feel when you ride any bike for that matter. This is what really matters after you have gotten over the looks and wow's of any machine. Keep them coming.

Good review. I think what is sometimes missed is that there is a middle ground between urban and ‘highway’ riding. This is where many of us live and a bike with the torque of the CB300R can excel. It may look slow on paper, but on those fast and twisty rural roads, up and down hills, above 5000 rpm the power is always on tap with just a twist of the wrist and the bike (to me) seems much less busy than others. Cheers.

I own this beauty.... and i absolute love it ...!!! 😈😈...
Tank capacity was my initial concern but this freaking honda gives me 37-40 kmpl which is astonishing in this segment.
I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a city commuter with occasional tours.

37 to 40 kmpl Wow it's great, I also booked, I may get in October.
My concern is that maintenance cost and the ground clearance of the bike. What is your experience as a owner

    • @ishulove001
      @ishulove001 5 років тому +1

@@mohankumarbmmsd4312 Hi Mohan, Congratulations for your booking. Don't bother about Ground clearance it's perfectly fine. having said that bottom do get hit few times when some one is sitting behind as the bike has very soft suspension. once you stiff the back suspension your are good to go.
Maintenance is another department you won't be disappointed. Rs. 1500 something was my first service and it will cost Rs. 2500 something once the free service will over. Another icing on the cake is that its service gap is 6000km or in 6 months whichever comes first. So pretty economical I would say for a 300cc bike.

Video levels are increasing with every review.
    Good stuff there brothers.
    Coming to the bike:
    1. Dominar has the best LED headlights that do the job nicely.
    2. The whole design looks incomplete.
    3. If the engine comes to life after 5-6K RPM, then the whole purpose is killed. It isn't something that'll do highway rides(thank you Aashirwaad Aata levels of fuel tank capacity) and with this characteristic of the engine and the gearbox, the city rides ain't gonna be superbly fun filled too.
    4. Price - This is bonkers for what it offers. Even the most premium BMW is made in India.
    5. Competition - It fights with Dominar, Himalayan, RE 650 Twins, KTM Duke 250, KTM Duke 390, Benelli 300, Kawasaki Ninja 300, Yamaha "dead" R3. Best part is, Suzuki's naked 250 is coming soon and that'll hurt it even more.
Who will buy this - People who are ignorant of what market offers or have hatred against the competition or have tonnes of money eaten away by rats.
22 dealers in India is not very confidence inspiring.

Excellent review man. Of all the reviews I've sifted to, yours seem very relatable and experience based. I'm basing my purchase decision off your reviews! I just had one question. Pillion comfort. I know you covered the topic in the video by tagging it 'once in a while', but how bad is it? Should I count it as non-existent? That backseat just doesn't inspire confidence.

The CB300R seems an under estimated motorbike.
Good for city riding because it is small (same frame as Honda CB150R) and short and has tight turning circle.
Power to weight ratio is very good.
However it can do long runs because it has the strong 300cc engine that is in the CRF300L dual sport that is used by many for touring the world.

You really cannot compare this with the D390, but if we were to say it in a sentence, the D390 feels like you are strapped on to a wild horse and the CB300R a tamed horse. Hope you get it :)
